It’s a good lesson but like so many other tutorials, back-to-front. Please play it once at normal speed, then slowly, then at the end the pointers. Please take a que from David Pots but sincerely, thanks for the effort!

Good lesson. I see some negative comments here but your version is easy for someone to pick up and play. And I actually LIKE that you explain what you're doing. Many don't and it's difficult if you aren't experienced enough to figure out the how and the why.

Very nice arrangement thanks a lot. That extended 4th finger on the E major chord is a sweet touch indeed :) Perfect lesson.

I love this lesson but I have a few problems to understand which strings he is picking. The first pattern is clear to me because he explains it but the following... Can somebody help me?

I continue to be amazed at the number of UA-cam tutors who break right in to a tutorial without playing their song straight through first. The listener needs to hear the entire song first and the detail second. Hearing the details first, out of context, is counter productive. While you may consider yourself a good player, you are not a good teacher.

Thanks for a great lesson, Ben. I sing this song to my daughter each year; on her birthday. Love your fingerstyle version. Do you have tab for this arrangement? Thanks!

Thank you, but I really think to begin, you should have played it through in its entirety. This is always frustrating for learners when we just want to hear it once at normal speed, then slowed down, then lastly, the technical aspects please.

Appreciate you showing the fingerstyle patterns and the chords.
But following along with the chords of the song which I already happen to know, why do you only show the first three lines of each verse?
At the last line for example "I'd buy a big house where, we both could live", you don't show the chords for that!
And I went through your video three times... you do a nice job, you're the only one who teaches Elton John's fills on guitar- but you leave OUT that last line of each verse!.. Is there a reason Why?... Thx again

Just sucks the fun right out of the thing when you naming each individual string and not playing it through as an example
