❤️❤❤
Thank you for this Architect!
Please don’t stop posting videos, you’re one of the reasons why I’m here at architecture school.
I'm glad you took the time to appreciate their scale model cause nobody has been talking about how impressive it is 😁
Love how you professionally addressed all the negative comments on the design! Kudos!
Challenges that they would come across will be waterproofing on the negative side of walls, utilities (Plumbing-Sanitary lines collection is ideal ung at pipe chase vertical pipe pababa, then slope to Septic Tank), Drainage System/Perforated pipe and submersible pump or event detention tank would be needed so that they can collect the water and slowly direct it to public drainage system during storm.
Sometimes this type of lanai na mas mahaba s
Yung lower part is prone na tapunan mg kalat from upper floor (had a complaint na ganto sa previous project/company), owner requested to at poly-carbonate roof.
Yes this project seems ambitious to others, but it is possible. Expertise of designer to make less harmful impact to the user and it's environment.
P.S. Architect we both pass same year and month and oath taking.
Keep everyone informed about architecture.
Thumbs up Ar. Llyan, solid explanation for all peeps!
Yeah I agree about using more greenery in the concrete/tiles area. How about using permeable concrete in the pavings? The Rise is really a great design.
That’s what friends are for! Good job mah dude! Well explained ❤
mabuti pa nga dyan may proposal inspired by the Banaue Rice Terraces, sana dto sa Cordillera mismo kahit smaller scale..
or baka meron na, d ko lng alam..
Ayus Ar.. 👍👍👍
I have been waiting for this reaction vid!
thank you, architect for giving us knowledge! God bless!
Been waiting for your perspective about The Rise. Galeng!
I've been waiting for your reaction mahdudes finally!
Click agad pag notif na The Rise❤
Yan ang inaantay ko ❤
Present mahdudes 💯❤
INAANTAY KO TO MAH DUDEEEE!!!
Well explained!
It’s too late. They’re already constructing it as we speak. I just really feel bad about the mountain being stripped off
Salute on your brief and concise takes about this project sir, you've answered very well the doubts of many Cebuanos. But the ones that are doubting are the ones that cant afford it lol.
I appreciate how you guys support each other. My brother is an architect and I work in the engineering field so we both can appreciate these videos.
Well explained! 🤗
Inaabangan ko to
sakto manen mah dudes coming from a highland architect like mah dude very reliable review ito
hinihintay ko to ✅
nice, i really think that skypod 3 project is really good, I can't comment on what/how about the projects. that's why it's good also to have an expert talks about this kind of of issues..
HAHAHA Ayown hahaha salamat master Oliver! Ganda ng explanation mo.
wazzzaaap mah dudeee
Wow amazing my dudes 👏👏👏🩷
It was actually one of the better ambitious designs I have come across--if they can really pull it off. I also have considerable faith that they can achieve it because kaya naman talaga yan ng pinoy. I think the doubts of most Filipinos are rooted from the fact na "Pinoy" tayo, in other words, defeatist mindset ng Pinoy ang nangingibabaw. A lot of fellow Filipinos think na di kaya ng Pinoy ang ganyang ka-bongga na design. Well, let's just wait for the construction to proceed.
Just so people know, like na-point out na ni Mah Dudes, di naman exactly unusual ang ganitong design. Kinda ambitious for our "Filipino Standards" pero actually doable talaga.
yes. world class and better than anything in NCR
I agree
lakas talaga!
Mah dudes❤
lets go
inaabangan ko talaga to😂
Finallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy 😍🤩
Finallyyy 😊
Mah dudes🔥
👍... Little understanding what you said, (English only) but my opinion of this project is positive. From what I viewed while living in Guadeloupe, the mountain is mostly scrubby regrowth, with little or no virgin trees remaining in mostly sandy soil. Therefore, more susceptible to erosion and possible landslides with large rain events. The terraces hopefully will improve this situation.
IMO this beautiful greenscaped design will be positive for the city. One negative... I can't afford any of it lol.
I totally agree. I lived in Cebu for 12 yrs but I was born and grew up in Bukidnon where landslides are common. I am not an expert but the mountains there (Cebu) are mostly composed of limestone soil. You can see from the distance that it is not a forested area, and just small trees and tall grasses are very common. And yes, sooner or later, landslide will happen and the project will hopefully help prevent it. It serves as a retaining wall like what we usually have here in the mountains.
Yung city niyo ba may proper flood control? 🤣🤣 Mga bisakol tlga bubo mag isip
Edi taniman ng puno instead na idevelop. May money involve kasi kaya pinayagan.
@@vinci24😂
@@vinci24?????
Tanong ko lang po . . . Damuhan lang po ba dun since the 70’s or 80’s?
Bago nalabg ulit ako nakanood ng vlog mo
Napansin ko din yung scale model. Sobrang detailed. Ilang tao kya ang gumawa nyan, how long and for how much?
idol since day 1❤
Great POV😊
most awaited vid
Niceee 🔥
More collab with Slater
kyya llyan huhu up comming 1st year collage na po ako hehe mag vavlog din po ako at gagayahin po kayo dahil isa po kayo sa ngaing inspiration ko 😊hehe dami po ako natutunan sa inyo thankyou po
Poging Kuya Archt. Oliver, Napakaganda ng project at sana ma approve.. Question lang po, d ba po dapat din e consider nung project management yung drainage capacity or capabilities nung lugar? kasi kuya kahit ano gawing planning ng catch basin, recycling or any planning para ma reduce yung rain water, may waste water talaga. btw taga cebu po ako at bahain talaga lalo na sa may banawa( nasa baba lang ng monterrazas) and very poor talaga yung drainage system ng cebu city... ✌
This is a positive way of looking at it.
nice!
nice mah dude! 🫡
sa bandang Tuding sa pag pasok mo ng monterrazas may similar na ganyang structure pero not sure if matutuloy looks like it 70% finished pero nag stop na construction not sure why
This has the best of both worlds in terms of futuristic architecture with ancient fengshui philosophy applications.
lol,😂. In layman's terms, an Architectural project based on scientific studies with a hint of Quak-Quak/pagan beliefs, you mean?
sana sa luzon meron din
super ganda nga nyan kaso hindi ako yung market heheh malabong ma afford in my life time
Wassap ma dude!
Nice 1
Iba ka
mAh dudes well said
Nice olive 😊
baha to the max!
Hi Architect.
I think the main issue for this project is simple. People don't give a damn on how much planning and even environmentally safe the project is. They don't understand this things. All they willing to accept is what they see and what they know. This will damage the mountain regardless if this project can actually help restore the mountain and showcase human ingenuity. That's why Slater is being cancelled. All they know a mountain is going to be use for this project. That's all the reason they need to cancel him regardless on how much planning and consideration he put to the environment.
I always say engineers and architects are some of the most disrespected professions in the Philippines, this is one sample why it is.
Lol you don't need to be an architect and engineer to understand how problematic this could be.
(1) all the existing projects that continuously damage the environment passed through the same process of approval before being implemented. what's the difference with this one? it's always the passiveness that kills us.
(2) He did not even acknowledge the cause OTHER monterrezas project did. How it affected the flooding in Cebu like Guadalupe Heights - which started experiencing flooding ONLY after Monterrazas was constructed.
(3) I believe the video of slater did not even justify his claim enough na "safe" yung project niya. He mentioned that the greenery of the condos will total 1 hectare which he will be able to “give back” to the mountain. But how many hectares are we taking away to begin with?
(4) How much rainwater can they collect? Did they compare the volume of rainwater their “irrigation system” and tanks can collect compared to the volume of rainwater that the trees and mountainside could collect - with roots absorbing water and the soil storing it?
Although na may proper plan sila para sa drainage, the problem falls on the drainage system ng city due to lack of urban planning.
The sense of humor👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣thank you Architect
Finally
Nag aabang talaga ako sayo architect kung ano sasabihin mo dito dahil maraming opinion. ✌🏼😁🤭
👍👍👍👍👍
Hi, maidudzzsss!
Eyyyy early gang, Good evening mahdudes! ❤
Eyyy good evening!
I hope we dont disregard the fact that permitting from Building Officials in the Government doesn’t always abide by the law. (Ex. Torre de Manila that obstructed a national landmark, reclamation projects, destruction of different heritage structures, etc) Corruption and violation of zoning and land use have long lingered in the Philippines. So to say that the permit of THIS project won’t get away from the eyes of our Government might not be entirely true.
The OG of this style I think is still Habitat 67, not 1:1 but the idea/concept is the same imo.
medyo madami yung ganyang concept, yung sa 314 architecture gods and dreams kamukha
The thing about permits, ang hirap pagkatiwalaan kasi usually dito sa pinas pera pera lang yung ganyan. Daming nakaka lusot.
Ayan na nga ginalaw ba yung baso mah duuuuudes!
Ma duds
Hi Sir Lian, baka po pwede mo gawan ng reaction vid yung "The Line - 105 mile long City Wall" sa Saudi arabia. Tia!
Parang meron n po yan.
Good
Very Witty talaga si mAh dudes
heyow waiting for this
Archineer 🥂
I still don't get how ppl say "Ay ginaya lang yung ganyan ganyan" like, even music you think is original took inspiration from someone else. And it's not like they took all the design principles of one design and implement that on their project. They have their own implementations and ideas enough to call it their own design.
My dudes 100 lot area halagang 250-300k budget kahit di pa finish idea lang may maliit ng tindahan sa harap tas 1cr at 2 bedroom miss kuna pag gawa mo ng bahay
I'll slap this video to those na naging engineers at environmentalist in just a minute.
2:05 HAHAHAHA huwaaaattt ???
Musta ma dudes
I Miss You So Much My Love 🤍
Its a nice project naman talaga kaso it involves a mountain pa din. Why not plant trees nalng instead of idevelop.
O SA KAHOY NALANG SILA TUMIRA NO?
hiluuu
