More power sa inyo mga bro Slater and Oliver. If I were to build my dream space, I will hire these two accomplished men and I will be assertive but respectful with them.
As an Engineer, wag mo i-hire both, both can do the job. However, advice ko lang, if residential construction, favor hiring the architect since most structural requirements ay naka standardize na. Then gawin mo nalang is mag consult sa engineer for structural integrity, then have them sign & seal (we usually charge per hour, per sqm., etc.). There's a tacit understanding between architects and engineers, if residential=give way to architects, if civil works like public infrastructures = engineers. Medyo mahal kasi at unnecessary to hire both at the same time, tho I get your point, its a dream to hire both, pero its like having 2 CEO's in 1 company, sino ba ang susundin ng mga Skilled at unskilled workers?
📌Siguro ang mas exciting part at para magkakaalaman talaga ang tunay na collaboration nilang dalawa ay kung may iisang project silang gagawin na magkasama as an architect and an engineer of it. 😆

Clearly explained the difference between an Engineer and Architect in real life. However, most of the people cannot differentiate Architect/ Engineer and a Contractor. Amongst the 3, contractor ang may pinakamalaki ang kita. I suggest to make a content about that. Thank you.
The most awaited collab 😍♥️ I admire you both Sir Slater Young & Sir Llyan Austria 😊 Nakakabitin po yung last question 😆😆 pero parang depende padin siguro no?
18:00 Architects! We need to coordinate with a lot of consultants! Initial Phase - Our own design, tapos revision based on Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Design. We see the overall plan more! Each Consultant only need to make their design work base on the Architects design. Pero, Architects need to make all the engineers design work with his design! Disclaimer: We're not better than them, pero we need to know alot about their job para ma-coordinate namin ng tama yung mga design nila.
“Pero, we need to know alot about THEIR (Civil Engrs) job para macoordinate namin ng tama yung mga DESIGN NILA.” there you go, you answer the question. CE no need to learn since they understand already while Archi, like you said.. YOU NEED TO LEARN ALOT PARA MACOORDINATE NG TAMA. So if di mo aaralin, di mo maiintindihan yung nangyayari sa design. While CE, they understand na agad THEIR DESIGN.
Anyway mabuhay kayo. Salamat sa pagbabahagi nyo ng kaalaman.
what an ending! haha i'm a student civil engineer and friends with a student architect, both in our last years. would be interesting to see if this becomes our dynamic in the future haha
These two are among the people who have inspired me to pursue engineering further (Although Kuya Oliver is an Architect HAHAHAHA) Sir's, thank you for creating such content! This is fantastic content po! thank you!❤🔥
Nice. Halimbawa sino mas madalas sa site, is depende sa line of practice mo at scale of project if small or big project and if Designer side ka (Design Consultants) or Construction Management ka or Project Management team ka of either Architectural or Engineering. Pero since mas maraming Civil Engineers ang nagfofocus sa construction supervision and management is mas madalas sa site ang mga engineers, although meron din akong kilalang project managers na Architects. But for small scale projects, depende na yan kasi merong Architects practicing Design and Build. Sa question na sino mas magaling bumasa ng plano, well kung ikaw ay isang architect na employed sa isang large Architectural firm or consulting firm ay dapat na mas magaling kang bumasa ng plano or mas maraming klase ng plano ang kaya mong basahin dahil kaya mong basahin dapat lahat ng trade from Architectural, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical plans and so on. Kasi ganito, 99% of the time kasi ang Architect ang unang gagawa ng kanyang plano (Floor Planning and Design Concepts, Aesthetics Design), then after that iforward nya sa engineering consultants nya for the preparation of the other trade designs (Design Engineers-engineers focusing on designing like engineering firms), together with the criteria of designing ibibigay rin ng Architect yung Criteria. So in my short experience in working for an Architectural firm ito ang na experience ko, and the Architectural consulting teams handles and reads and understands all design and plans from all trades of engineering in order for them to check if merong conflict ang bawat isa or if merong conflict na makakaapekto sa Aesthetic Design. So, nung nasa architectural firm ako kaming nasa production department is nababasa namin lahat ng plano better than anybody. Architect or engineer pwede kumita ng mas malaki. Kasi 99% of the time ang client sa Architect pupunta, kasi space planning, socio-economic studies, feasibility studies, branding and aesthetics sakop lahat yan ng Architect and large portion of the design fee is mapupunta talaga sa Architect. In most cases, si Architect narin ang nagpapasahod sa kanyang mga Engineering Design Consultants. So for the large scale project category malaki kitaan ng Architect sa Design side. Pero, Pero sa Project management side or construction management side naman like I said mas maraming engineers ang involved sa implementation ng project so mas maraming engineers ang kumikita as Project Managers and Construction Managers. Kaya lahat ng yan is case to case basis.
I'm a computer engineering student and I know nothing about structural designs and architectural designs, but I know that architects make sure that the building is very pleasing and engineers will make sure your building is safe and strong.
I would agree, talaga naman quality ang contents ni Sir Slater. Especially from an outsider's perspective sa field nila. It's simplified and well explained.

In university education, architects have to learn about both the art (art theory, history of architecture, design basics, anthropometrics) and science of building. We are taught structural design and codes (e.g. computing live and dead loads, spacing of rebars, sizes of structural members), learn how to lay out sanitary pipes + mechanical and electrical systems. Plus we have to learn laws like the structural code, BP 344 / handicap accessibility, heritage conservation laws, city planning and zoning laws. We also have to learn about climate-responsive/adaptive design. There is also the project management side- scheduling the activities from conception to turnover of the project. We can also contribute to the interior and landscape designs. Kumbaga sa orchestra, conductor yung architect. (In addition to all that, if you’re running your own firm, you have to know how to run a business.)

I’m very much surprised to know na Sir Oliver is a shy person. He’s the most entertaining architect I know, (aside from my brothet of course 😅). Bring brain lang siguro talaga. Ang the vocab ha! “Miniscule” got me!
5:00 I mentioned this sa Skypod 2.0 Reaction ni Oliver. Most of the time, nasa client ang decision if they are okay with what the engineers have designed eg. Column in the middle of the room. So, in that case, Architects would tell the client the pros and cons of the column eg. Cost/Building Safety etc. The client is the one paying pero architect would need to give his honest and reasonable opinion about the design para makapagdecide ang client if he would prefer to have the center column or not. So I dont agree nasa Engineer or Architect ang huling decision. :p its all money talks in the end. Its not the engineers house, so at the end of day he just need to make the architect's design work. Engineers can give his options pero more or less all his options should work/ be safe. So I dont get why the engineers (not all engineers) would push a certain design of his and disregard the architects design. nwawala tuloy yung essence nung design pag may column na sa gitna ng room. I would understand if its 4 storey and up towers, pero 2-storey residential house? If he (engineers) cannot make the architects design work, change your engineer lol not the end of the world. PS. skypod is on a different terrain, it is an Engineering Marvel. Kudos to the team!

Both men are very humble and good at their chosen career. Pero not sure kung may ka tandem syang engineer at that time ah. I like the design of our house but ung mga Inconvinience naiwasan siguro kung may engineer like ung sa high ceiling at large window namin sa labas. Clearly explained the difference between an Engineer and Architect in real life. However, most of the people cannot differentiate Architect/ Engineer and a Contractor. Amongst the 3, contractor ang may pinakamalaki ang kita. I suggest to make a content about that. Thank you.
The most awaited collab 😍♥️ I admire you both Sir Slater Young & Sir Llyan Austria 😊
Nakakabitin po yung last question 😆😆
Amazing Ma Dudes & sir Slater!!😊❤
what an ending! haha
i'm a student civil engineer and friends with a student architect, both in our last years. would be interesting to see if this becomes our dynamic in the future haha
Bka gawa kau ng firm nio dlawa pagkakuha nio ng license ❤
Solid... Nag-antay aq ng sagot sa last question hahaha!! Sana may part 2 :)
You guys are making our field enjoyable...really inspiring! hahahaha
Approved! Engineer is SAFETY while Architect is Design.
Here in Europe Architect is always the lead Designer no matter what.
Architect is the Chief Builder, but then there would be no great building if theres no collaboration of Architect & Engineers ❤
I'm a computer engineering student and I know nothing about structural designs and architectural designs, but I know that architects make sure that the building is very pleasing and engineers will make sure your building is safe and strong.
worth the wait. Sobraaa 😊 daming learnings from the both of you. Chemistry is real 😁
I would agree, talaga naman quality ang contents ni Sir Slater. Especially from an outsider's perspective sa field nila. It's simplified and well explained.
I am a teacher here in Baguio but love watching both your vlogs even Kryz. I'm glad na nangyari na ang collab na ito. keep it up guys.. maraming mapupulot na aral sa episode na eto. God bless you both🙏
So educating! More content na ganito please.
Engr. -foundation/safety
Arch.-design
My two fave in one video💕
ibig sabihin redundant ang architects hahahaha real life: engineers - foundation/safety & design
I hope maintindihan mo, kasi ganun talaga nangyayari sa field. Unless nasa field ka din like them..
ASTIGGGG! Finally Engineer and Architect Face off!! Nag enjoy ako panoorin :D
I love the ending pa cliff hanger talaga. But this video was so wholesome and so different. We need content like this. You two are awesome!
SO MUCH LEARNINGS sa video na ito....ang galing,,,very sport sila at professional sa respective comments,,,,,actually fan and subscriber nila ako.
Can't wait for more collabs from you both yung sa site naman po sana, thank you for giving us this collab 💕💕
Woohoo !! Finally! Love you both, guys, old sub nyo ako and always wondered kelan Collab. Lumipad pa sa Cebu, bait naman! Both humble, respectful, intelligent, and with wisdom. Salute to you both!
LEZGOOOO MA DUDES
I really enjoy watching these two. They're both passionate on what they're doing. Keep it up and I wish I can see you both somewhere. 😁
I once encounter an Architect ( a lot older than me), this is the scenario i was invited by the client to give my prof inputs sa ongoing na bahay niya, and i was really surprised how this guy took all the findings that i made, anyways its all good. May this video be an eye opener to engineers and architects that two head is always better than one.More power
Wow. Grabe ito Yung isang magandang bagay na nagawa Ng pandemic .. come up with a content na makabuluhan , with this 2professionals n napka down to earth at matatalinong nilalang hahha.
Happy to see you guys collaborating about your respective jobs as an engineer and architect 🥰🥰🥰
Yan! Bet ko yung mga ganitong bardagulan! Totoo na, may matututunan ka pa. I like these boys talaga.
Architects conceptualize the design while engineers execute it with sound structure.
Woooahh!! The most awaited collab ever. Yeyyy! In fairness, dami naming natutunan. Thank you for this collab. Sana more pa soon. 👏🏼💯
ok lng sir Slater kahit hndi k mdalas mag upload ng videos ang importante quality lage everytime you upload...thanks sir to your videos my course is not related to both of you but im enjoying watching you mga sir dami kong natutunan sainyo...thank you po🤗😍

I’m very much surprised to know na Sir Oliver is a shy person. He’s the most entertaining architect I know, (aside from my brothet of course 😅). Bring brain lang siguro talaga.
Ang the vocab ha! “Miniscule” got me!
An Architect's dream is a Civil Engineer's nightmare. 😆
Love watching you both. Learn a lot from an Engineer and an Architect. Keep doing collab mga Sir🙏
Pag may issue bahay tatanungin sino engineer, pag pinupuri sino architect nyan LOL unfair lods
HAHAHAHAHAHA this is so truuu
Sir slater. Gawa ka naman po video about when to use insulation foam single sided aluminum and double sided aluminum. And also how to properly/correctly install it.
Dugaya og hinuwat nako ani oy hahah! At last! Gi recap pa nako ang previous related vids before nitan-aw ani
My brother is studying architecture, while I studied marine engineering. We have fun discussions where we share our knowledge with each other.
OMG... wow... natuloy na din.. waiting for this collab forever! hehehe... Nice to see you both!
Both men are very humble and good at their chosen career. Pero not sure kung may ka tandem syang engineer at that time ah. I like the design of our house but ung mga Inconvinience naiwasan siguro kung may engineer like ung sa high ceiling at large window namin sa labas. Well at that time kz hiningi nya opinion ko na panget Pala kakalabasan. Hehehe. Basta keep it up nlng sir slater and sir Oliver. 😊👍👍
OMG FINALLYYYYYYYY! congratulations on both of you idols!
oh my i have been waiting for this collab to happen! am so happy yieeee
