My house will start to be built soon and I am really wondering what system would be better for me. I was told that Crestron is the way to go, but I believe that Apple’s HomeKit may also be a good way. I just need to go and check out the light situation. Those Crestron panel’s seem reliable since all the lights seem to be hardwired to those panels. I just feel like Crestron will not be nearly as integrated into my other technologies as HomeKit would be.
Congratulations!! Crestron is a professionally installed fully integrated system where as Homekit is DIY ecosystem, both are great. Either way make sure you do a really good pre-wire and plan ahead for future upgrades. If I were to do it again I'd go with either Crestron or Lutron Radio Ra3 / Homeworks, currently we have Caseta
