    #Drill Cut Parameters
Use this page to select a drilling cycle and enter basic drilling parameters for the toolpath, such as peck amounts or dwell times for those cycles that require them.
You can also apply custom drill parameters, and enter values for any custom parameters that have been defined for the drill cycle.
    Note:
Use the control definition's Drill Cycles page to manage the list of cycles.
The exact list of custom drill parameters is defined in the Text section of the active control definition.

    Common Toolpath Parameter Controls
    #Cycle
Select a drill cycle from the drop-down list. Only cycles that have been defined in the active control definition appear on this list.
    #First peck
Sets the depth for the first peck move, which plunges in and out of the material to clear and break chips.
    #Subsequent peck
Sets the depth for all peck moves after the first peck. Peck moves plunge in and out of the material to clear and break chips.
    #Peck clearance
Sets the depth that the tool rapids to between peck moves. The value is added to the previously drilled peck depth.
    #Retract amount
Sets the amount that the drill retracts every time it makes a peck move. It is positive and incremental. This option is enabled or disabled depending on the selected drill cycle and whether the post supports retract amount for that drill cycle.
    #Dwell
Sets the amount of time in seconds that the tool remains at the bottom of a drilled hole. If using a peck drill cycle, the dwell only applies to the final depth.
    #Shift
Sets the distance that a boring bar tool moves away from the wall of the toolpath before retracting. This helps prevent gouging. This option only applies to bore bar drill cycles.
    #Apply custom drill parameters
Select to activate the custom drill parameters that have been defined for the drill cycle, and enter the appropriate values. Note that the exact list of custom drill parameters is defined in the Text section of the active control definition.
    #Standard Drill Cycles
Mastercam provides several pre-defined (canned) drilling cycles and numerous custom cycles. Selecting a drill cycle determines the drill toolpath parameters. You can select one of the following drill cycles from the Cycle drop-down list on the drill toolpath's Cut Parameters page.
    #Drill/Counterbore
Recommended for drilling holes with depths of less than three times the tool diameter.

    #Peck Drill
Recommended for drilling holes with depths of more than three times the tool diameter. Retracts fully out of the drilled hole to remove material chips. Used often with chips that are hard to remove.
