FORGOTTEN 1964 Fairlane, 4 Days Before Power Tour... Will We Finish?
Вставка

- In todays episode, we install the rear disc brakes from @LEEDBrakes to finalize our 4 wheel disc brake install! We get the fresh @coldcaseradiators installed...And with only 4 days left, we received a care package from @HolleyPerformance to hopefully wrap up everything on the build in time for Hot Rod Power Tour... but, the To Do List is still long and the days are ripping by, will we be able to knock everything out in time? Or will the hour glass run out and force us to call it quits?

Great work on the things done so far. Next video is the 'crunch' Look forward to seeing it. Be safe and stay well.
Watching your videos gives me so much motivation to finish my 65 cyclone!
I can't make it to power tour this year but maybe someday.
Great work on the 64.

LMAO, there was some late nights for the old guy… and even later nights for me on this crunch time build! Something we all get to go through with these cars 😅😂 Will do, thanks for the support as always!
Not sure about time relationship of my viewing time to your filming time but you and your Dad do awesome work. Love that old Fairlane.
nice work. can't wait to see the next one. Keep 'em coming!

👍👍😁
What engine?
****
Radiator: cover with cardboard until in.
Anxious to see what fan you used.
****
A lot of low hanging headers are because the motor/trans mounts are bad. Also adjusting the tailshaft height when lowering the car and then resetting the pinion angle often makes a big difference to collector clearance.
I used Sanderson Headers. Not a race car. Not as swoopy but half the price.
*****
Heater core: use the '65 aluminum high efficiency core.
****
Yes, thats what I drive.
Just info for the future builders.
Thanks.😎
Just a rebuilt 289 lol, but doesn’t sound like in come next video!
Cardboard is a good plan👌
Went with the mechanical fan, and later on put a pusher fan.
Thank for all the info, I believe we bought that heater core, just didn’t worry about it before power tour.

I've had mine 34 years. Learned a lot. Have had another with 351W.
Previously I mentioned using the '60 Galaxie 20 gallon gas tank. 👍👍 Perfect fit.
Pretty cool that I got to see this car in person last summer in my hood and now I get to see all the work that went into it. Great job boys.
Much appreciated! You got to enjoy the cake before I even shared the recipe LOL
What are you doing for axle wrap or is the small block not powerful enough to worry about it?
At this point in time i wasn’t worried, simply because I knew we wouldn’t be beating on it last summer/ year. But I’m contemplating building my own coil over set up in the rear for it one day. Need to shorten the diff a bit too with the wheel set up we went with later in the year.
Nothing makes you question life quite like struggling with an old car LOL!! So many times I've gotten to a F*&%& IT point in projects....haven't yet questioned where I live though haha. She is really coming along though. Too bad you couldn't put it on a lift at every Power Tour stop to show her off.
Haha fixing new cars makes you want to end your life, while old cars make you question life… but when all said and done, nothing like enjoying life while driving a classic!
I think everyone has hit those frustrating points when working on projects, best to call it a night and start fresh the next day.
As for the living/ weather situation… you must live in the south or really live winter lol😂
Thank you, almost done! Wait till the next video! 🎶👂
In Canada we deal with the rusty nuts and bolts. We dont whine and bitch about it.
I live in Canada, that’s all we deal with… so when working on a southern car it really emphasizes the bullshit we have to deal with. Call it bitching, but I know which one I’d rather work on.
Dude show the product!! Not the face
Keep watching…
