That's so great, Josephine! We love to hear it! We had so much fun getting to meet Jana and film this together :) If you're ever looking for a change of pace, we did recently release a technique library of practice videos and a few more follow-alongs on yoube too! brocheballetonline.com/free-prerecorded-content I love that we can dance together online! :) - Julie
Is there a video with similar movements at maybe half or a quarter of the pace? I am in a beginner ballet workshop and am completely lost both in class and when I try to practice with videos between classes. I watched the "Adult Ballet Class for Beginners" video and would like more at that pace with these movements.
Thanks for the suggestion! We don't have anything quite that speed just yet, but stay tuned! We have a project in the works we think you'll enjoy :) In the meantime, you can also try and slow down the video to see if that helps! If you click on the gear icon in the bottom right of the video, there's an option for playback speed. Hope that helps! ❤️
@@BrocheBallet Thank you for this thoughtful reply! I would also love videos with just a brief explanation of each move/foot position mentioned. I have been working on your videos, and my teacher says she can tell I've been practicing! :D
@@AsyaKielbasa That's awesome! So glad to hear you've made some progress! Keep up the good work! For now, we do have a simple video about the basic ballet positions. Hope that helps! ua-cam.com/video/PXUJ1piqoq4/v-deo.html
@@AsyaKielbasa Hi Alysa, I know it's been a long time, but we do finally have an updated ballet class video at a much slower pace! ua-cam.com/video/1PCDkJb9LAE/v-deo.html
I love this! I have just taken a handful of lessons and was feeling a little lost, forgetting terms and feeling like my 58 yr old brain needs a LOT more practice, so I'm excited to find this channel. I am, however, noticing after I finished that I have a lot of tightness between my shoulder blades. What might I be doing wrong? Or is this normal?
Awesome, I'm so glad to be able to help out! There's a lot to remember in ballet, and even a younger brain needs a lot of practice! Upper back tightness between the shoulder blades could be from working on posture keeping your shoulders open, or from cambré back & arabesque, which use the upper back muscles quite a bit. Check this video for posture tips: ua-cam.com/video/Tub0bBTk5_Y/v-deo.html If it's painful, then it may be something to check with a chiropractor or massage therapist about. And, to help you keep practicing your ballet steps: You might enjoy these 2 videos on my channel with more breakdowns: ua-cam.com/video/nWGp7KlSWSs/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/1xOyNAQHab4/v-deo.html And for even more, try my free mini video library, that has 9 free practice videos, including some technical breakdowns and centerwork that I teach from the back view! brocheballetonline.com/free-classes
We'll keep that in mind! In the meantime, you can check out the center we did on the Ballerinas By Night channel! ua-cam.com/video/pJTGxkIx4E8/v-deo.html
I want to say, this isn’t a beginner barre. You need much more coordination and memory skills to master this barre. A good barre to practice on after multiple tries, but not a beginner barre. This will only frustrate the first-timer.
You're so right! If you're looking for a more beginner class, give this one a try! ua-cam.com/video/1PCDkJb9LAE/v-deo.html I also re-named the video and pinned a comment with my more beginner class in it :)
For an updated beginner barre with center work included, give this new class a try! ua-cam.com/video/1PCDkJb9LAE/v-deo.html

Thank you for this. Now I can practice in between classes, at home! :)
Absolutely! We're glad you enjoyed! ☺️
That was awesome! Did it on pointe to get used to being back in the boots!

the title does say advanced beginners - not absolute beginners
