  • Minor setback this morning.
We will still be moving forward despite this setback.
There is some footage of the silver cement recovered from the copper nitrate cell experiment .
That will be poured today and maybe a couple of bars as well .
If anyone has any spare old boards or electronic waste they can spare I sure would appreciate it , ( email for adress)
    Thanks everyone for the support

I’m glad I’m not the only one who stresses over the lab glass. I’ve been lucky enough to get some good deals on used glass, but I still have some large pieces that aren’t cheap. I feel your pain

Where do you find used glassware ?
I’m going to return the 5 L beaker I need to build a fume hood this summer

Just lucky. I ordered some lab glass on eBay and he hit me up with a heck of a deal on a bulk order. I haven’t run across much, but it basically stocked me up on beginners labware

I save the broken borosilicate glass for reuse. Practice making some labware sometime, or break it smaller and give to someone who does?

How do you reuse it ?
Do you blow glass or cast it

@Hill-13 Yeah, for example, if you have ever seen ceasium refining videos, you need to make and modify glassware to have an oxygen free reaction and storage assembly. After you heat seal off sections with the refined ceasium. Really cool reaction flasks that look like sea urchin with multiple ampules attached.
So, any broken ones I save to practice glass blowing with or give to someone who does in exchange for some lab glass, maybe 🤔
Also one day I was cleaning a 1l over soapy water bucket with 3 250ml and dropped it, somehow crushing the 3 small ones and cracking the big one. Well finished cleaning those real fast 😂 early day lessons
