I get behind every player Newcastle sign, even Calvert-Lewin if we'd have gone down that road but surely we are better than Ruddy.
I predicted this would be a very frustrating transfer window for us and the players we are linked with thus far are probably more realistic than some fans want to believe. I do NOT want Ruddy. We need to stop signing 3rd / 4th choice keepers that we know aren't good enough to push for a 1st team place. I'd much rather us load up on youth keepers.
I never understood ppl who get upset about 3rd string GK. I'm assuming its bc of his experience and helping the youngsters.
My question about Schar is, can we replace his place on the squad for 5-10 mill. Id rather we extend him if hes willing for a year.
