What impressed me particularly about Tonali was his speed of thought, everytime he received the ball in tight spaces his first time passes were instinctive, he knew exactly where his team mates were and played the right pass every time. Considering it was his debut, this was mighty impressive. When we play in tough games he will be a cool head, an outlet who will be able to control the pace of the game. What a skillful player, really classy.
Tonali has a champ mental. Remember Tonali has a great many mentor midfield like Pirlo, Ambrosini, Van Bommel, Seedorf. And ofc Paolo Maldini is his mentality mentor.

BBC Newcastle commentary has been the best for years. They’re a little biased but they’re more than able to applaud good play from the opposition and call out poor play from us. Two absolutely brilliant blokes, blessed to have them.

The goals from Giroud and the first goal come from one turnover he forced, and then he and Leao won the league in the last 6 games. And even this year, when we smashed AC Milan in the Champions League semifinal, he and Leao alone were able to create something even though we were far superior. He, Leao and Maignan are the reason why AC Milan got to the UCL semis. Of course, I don't "love him" since I support the other side of the river, but he is a beast, he destroys the opponents' game and he is so sly while being technically very sound. He is good on both ends of the pitch, he is just top top class. And Barella is even better ;)
The pace of our front 3 is incredible. Even the subs of Barnes, Wilson and Murphy have amazing pace. Our midfield trio will shred any defence to pieces.

Arsenal fan. This Newcastle team is very dangerous. Physically imposing, good technical level and lots of athleticism & quality in the final third. Trippier is also very underrated. A leader on the pitch, always in the right place, technically sound, and consistently 7-8/10 every game. For me the best signing since Newcastle got taken over.

Man who knew Eddie Howe with a big budget can turn a team into a force. The excellent work he has done for Newcastle has been one of the greatest stories. Joelinton and Almiron before Howe were mid at best but now they have hit new heights. Amazing what difference a manager can make in terms of getting the best out of players.

Arsenal fan here. I've found myself tuning into Newcastle games and highlights over the last year. Eddie Howe has done a great job with this squad, Newcastle produce great attacking exciting football. Tonali was a perfect signing, and St. James park, what a ground.
I know everyone is in awe with Tonali's peformance and rightfully so but Joelinton has become prime Zidane, he had to 2 touches in this game that were simple but absolutely world class, one that Miggy drove and let Isak in and the one just before Tonali put Barnes in. I can't wait to watch big Joe in the UCL, I really do believe he is our best player currently!!!
It's so great having some real quality on the bench, makes hell of a difference. Thought Villa would cause us problems but we annihilated them, awesome start to the season. It's wild how much we've improved under Howe, guy is a genius. HTL

What a dream start to the season. Debut goals from Tonali who was magnificent and Barnes who was electric. Isak was on fire. Wilson just can't stop scoring. Gordon was class too. The list goes on. So much strength and depth and quality off the bench. Let's keep this up and we're in for a wonderful season. ⚫⚪

My AC Milan is in full rebuilding..in Newcastle he will be better paid and probably soon the team will be a contender for the Champions League. Definitely this would be a great esperience for him..but I' m pretty sure that one day he will turn back home..

Arsenal fan. This Newcastle team is very dangerous. Physically imposing, good technical level and lots of athleticism & quality in the final third. Trippier is also very underrated. A leader on the pitch, always in the right place, technically sound, and consistently 7-8/10 every game. For me the best signing since Newcastle got taken over.

Man who knew Eddie Howe with a big budget can turn a team into a force. The excellent work he has done for Newcastle has been one of the greatest stories. Joelinton and Almiron before Howe were mid at best but now they have hit new heights. Amazing what difference a manager can make in terms of getting the best out of players.

Arsenal fan here. I've found myself tuning into Newcastle games and highlights over the last year. Eddie Howe has done a great job with this squad, Newcastle produce great attacking exciting football. Tonali was a perfect signing, and St. James park, what a ground.
I know everyone is in awe with Tonali's peformance and rightfully so but Joelinton has become prime Zidane, he had to 2 touches in this game that were simple but absolutely world class, one that Miggy drove and let Isak in and the one just before Tonali put Barnes in. I can't wait to watch big Joe in the UCL, I really do believe he is our best player currently!!!
I agree, a lot of the things he does for the team go under the radar, but at least everyone knows what a top drawer player he is.
