Hey guys, thanks very much for watching the review of this Escapement Time. Do you agree with the things that need changing or am I wrong? (again 😂). Thanks for the support guys. Have a good one.
Thanks mate and I think I'd prefer the 40mm myself. I'd say wait until the sales, but these never come in, so I suppose now would be a good a time as any.
Love the cream dial on the 40mm. It's just so clean and timeless looking! I think if they made this in glossy black dial, it might work as a Sarb033 replacement.
100%, a gloss black would be awesome and I'd sell this and get that in a heartbeat. After having this I wish I'd have gone for the 40mm cream dial, but the green is pretty nice too. Thanks
I had the cream dial 40mm version of this was very impressed with the overall quality fit & finish etc. (Apart from the strap) I think the only issue with these was the small numbers that they make, getting hold of the one you want can be challenging.
I have the 39*45mm white with a blue seconds hand and so far is a stunner, only negative for me is the straight lugs that leaves a gap on the wrist, anyway lovely watch.,nice review man cheers👍
Great looking green. I thought the strap looked good on video…too bad it’s not in-person. Tons of straps would look good on these, so that shouldn’t slow anyone down. I think Perlon would be a nice match….
I have the 40mm blue sunburst version. I hated the strap and wasn't really a fan of the strong sunburst. The flat green looks good to me. I loved the cream with the blued hands but I already have a cream SARB035 so I went for the blue. Changing the strap made a huge difference. I love the watch now. I think I agree with your comment that a little brushing on the case would have made it better.
Its a nice dress watch. You are right, I don't really care that much for the strap that came with it. I changed the strap to a nice quality Milanese strap. However, I find myself not wearing this watch that much. Its nice quality watch. Maybe not good for daily wear.
A very sharp looking watch but not something that I would likely pick up since I have an orient bambino and I think they are all sold out at least the store when you go to it and select all items only has one watch available and it isn’t this one as of this comment today hopefully they do release some more because the white tile looks really crisp and nice
Understand mate, you wouldn't need one with an Orient and it does look like they sold out but the store owner did say he would restock once they did. So I guess we'll have to keep an eye out. Thanks
These watches are so lovely, getting a better strap shouldn't he a problem. I find the razor sharp hands particularly amazing. If I didn't already have the 40 mm version I'd get one of these 36 mm no question.
I agree. It's a great watch but the strap has to go. Also, they should take "Quartz" off of the dial. they're using a movement that sweeps, so why advertise that it is quartz?
I think it is time for them to release a "premium" version of this watch with the ST36 hand-wound movement, in keeping with its classic aesthetics and the brand name of the company. The movement costs about as much as the VH so they should be able to keep it within +20 € of the current price point. The movement, if oiled and regulated at the time of shipping, is very reliable and has a long service interval. It solves the short 2year battery life problem.
Aside from their straps the worse thing about these watches is the flat profile of their lugs that make them wear bigger than their specs would have you believe. If you don't mind the wrist gap at the lugs have at it, but i'll buy the smaller one to minimize the effect.
@@WesWatchRoom Something a little bit classy, i.e., with high polish links or details alternating with brushed parts. Maybe a five link with brushed, polished, brushed, polished, brushed with the brushed parts being a bit thicker than the high polish ones.
This is a nice little watch, though the 40mm will be better for my wrist. I've thought about getting it a few times but my only issue is that, though they put a great high beat quartz movement in it to make it look like a mechanical watch, they went and put Quartz on the bloody dial! 😁 In my opinion they should have put the quartz info on the case back, and just put something like "Water Resistant" or "50m WR" on the dial. I'd definitely change the strap.
That's a good point, they went to the trouble of putting in a good mechanical look quartz and then advertise its a quartz. Never thought about it like that. Thanks for watching mate
The Chameri is currently available only in 40mm and it's only available in the cream dial color. The Escapement Time in this review is 35mm and available in a variety of colors.
Thanks for your comment. I now have 5 or 6 versions of both Escapement Time and Chameri. Prefer the Chameri name. But bloody hell, I must have spent $150 Aud on new watch straps. The originals are awful.

looks very good on your wrist. Really tempted by the white one myself.

@@WesWatchRoom They have a black dial up now in the 40mm! But it seems to be matte. Can you get it in for review?
@@Shri_V I'll see what I can do
Lovely green dial. Killer review. B IS BACK!
Thank you mate, appreciate that a lot.
That deep green dial looks nice. Thanks for the honest review!
No problems and it's not my favourite option but I still do like it. Thanks
I keep looking at it’s bigger brother but keep holding back for some reason.
I can see why mate, I put it off for ages and just thought sod it and got one. Thanks for watching.
Great review, good points and very informative. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you
Nice review as always, Wes. nice little watch indeed. FAR to small for my wrist...but the 40mm and the Chameri work quite well on my cunker.
Cheers mate and glad to see you got your channel back. I think this size is nice but yeah I'd rather have the 40 too.
@@WesWatchRoom I'm glad to be back, just hope we can stop this guy 👊
@@EscapeWheel hopefully Gary will bring him down. But I'll guess we'll have to see.
@@WesWatchRoom I wasn't too confident, but now that we are talking to an actual person at UA-cam. 🤞

It seems that way mate, they look to be all sold out again. Hopefully the owner will restock soon. Cheers.
I have the 40mm version in white. I put mine on a blue ostrich strap and it looks great. This Watch is definitely a keeper for me
Nice, I wish I'd have gone with the 40mm version too, but I might end up holding onto it too as they've sold out again. Thanks
I'd probably go for the 40 but this one looks great. Thanks for the video.
Same here mate after trying this one out. Thanks Bob. Have a good one mate

Thank you and I noticed that a bit too, but it's probably worse on the larger model. Appreciate you watching

Good call on the perlon, but the strap does look nice, just a bit naff. The brown leather I got for it is way better and looks pretty nice too. Thanks
I haven't seen any of these available in any size on AliExpress for months. Am I missing something?
Looks like they sold out again, but hopefully they'll restock soon.
Escapement made a great looking watch definitely change the strap to a real leather
I agree, the brown leather one I swapped it out for was way more comfortable than this stock one. Thanks mate.
This would go great on a green nato!
Might have to try that, thanks for the suggestion mate. Have a good one.

Deffo, the strap is an easy fix and there's plenty of good 18mm out there. Agree on the hands too, they're really good. Thanks for watching mate
I agree. It's a great watch but the strap has to go. Also, they should take "Quartz" off of the dial. they're using a movement that sweeps, so why advertise that it is quartz?

Having only had this size I can't say for the larger version, but I thought this wore well on the better strap. Thanks
40mm for me! Love the watch. The big flaw for me is that it doesn't come on a bracelet. Wouldn't mind a date window ;). Great review, thanks!
Only if the date is at 6 o'clock.
A bracelet would be nice, but which style do you think would suit it? Thanks

This one suits you well. I'd prefer without the mention "Quartz "though.
Thanks and yeah it would look a little cleaner without it.
Great watch especially for the price.
It really is, its a solid offering. Thanks
Take a look to Chameri, is the same watch for a better price !!
The Chameri is currently available only in 40mm and it's only available in the cream dial color. The Escapement Time in this review is 35mm and available in a variety of colors.

Small mistake, I'm pretty sure the movement does have like 2 jewels
My bad it does yeah. Thanks
Nice but no longer available .
That sucks because they told me they would be restocking it as soon as it sold it.
What type of battery does this take?
