The game becomes easier if you just learn what the lantern can do and use it. You can soul siphon the parasite off of the congregator of flesh to weaken him. You can soul flay difficult mobs off of cliffs, or alternatively just use it to get a free stun, and this sometimes even works on bosses. On the hushed night there are soul nodes scattered everywhere that you can soul siphon to knock the boss of his horse and stun him. I don’t know what else to say but the game is more fun when you are using all the mechanics given to you. It’s like you’re playing Mario Bros but choosing to ignore all the mushroom and fire flower power ups.

I am currently playing lords of the fallen and it is a good game not too hard but challenging…It is really frustrating where npc is so op in a narrow path or cave where we are restricted on moments so it’s very tricky. I did not like this asmon gameplay because he just keep ignoring mobs and items as well as not reading the instructions or burning out the npc dialogues.
Game looks a bit rough, everything looks grey washed. Level design seems limited on space but the movement is extreme so your always rolling into walls or lunging off ledges. Weapons are simple and the combos seem super basic and un inspired. Also the mobs seem like they are always spamming some sort of ranged attacks that are more annoying than they are challenging. The art direction and design looks really good at times. In all seems like a game that had a good idea, good art direction but the gameplay execution is terrible.
@@LordOfChaos.x You’re right, it does compare to a game from 10+ years ago but it doesn’t compare to the last 4-5 souls and souls like games that have released. The things that made bloodborne, DS3, Seikiro, Elden Ring and Lies Of P great are no where to be seen in Lords of the Fallen.
This game is just alright imo, feels heavily inspired by DS2, I guess they thought they could do a better job, and they did imo, but they also took some of the stupid bs from DS2 and doubled down on it, which was a pretty stupid decision imo. Got this on PS5 and honestly it’s not worth the $70 with the constant frame rate drops (playing on performance mode). I’d suggest buying this when it goes on sale if they don’t fix the performance issues.

@@celto107 I agree. This genre as a whole has moved away from the "corpse run" approach when they realised the challenge should come from fighting the boss, not monotonously running back for 5 minutes after every attempt. @@EXP_Jenova nah i just meant the fact that you have spend that much especially in the early game to make your own vestige. I cant say the same about lies of P from my personal experience.
i want to romance that first kayle boss so hard omg
There’s a reason it’s called lords of the FALLEN
Not quite clear why he chooses strength.
The movement in this game seems fluid AF, though. The fighting too. Even though it might look weird sometime with the floating, it at least flows.
I really like this game. It's the only souls like that is not dark souls or elden ring that I enjoy. Too bad it was not more popular
Too bad the sound effects aren't great. That sword he's using sounds the same no matter what he hits
Thats a tutorial like how to not play games. Brutforcing, refusing to learn, losing to height like a little bitсh
U act as Ds1 is any different.
seem, seem, seem, seem.
@@N3r0ThlHeavyMetal it do seem
@@LordOfChaos.x You’re right, it does compare to a game from 10+ years ago but it doesn’t compare to the last 4-5 souls and souls like games that have released.
The things that made bloodborne, DS3, Seikiro, Elden Ring and Lies Of P great are no where to be seen in Lords of the Fallen.
@@JonnyBlayz i dont see how wnd why lies of Piss is any better than Loftf
27:25 "My owners ring"
Lmao wtff
11:00 He sounds liek the Dremora in The Elder Scrolls
This game is just alright imo, feels heavily inspired by DS2, I guess they thought they could do a better job, and they did imo, but they also took some of the stupid bs from DS2 and doubled down on it, which was a pretty stupid decision imo. Got this on PS5 and honestly it’s not worth the $70 with the constant frame rate drops (playing on performance mode). I’d suggest buying this when it goes on sale if they don’t fix the performance issues.
The gameplay doesn't look very smooth to me. Looks like the controls are jerky. Not enough frames in the animations or something.
Ah yes the classical Asmongold plays a souls-like for the first time without attempting to understand the game mechanics. Literally unwatchable.
Whoa there. What about Cyberpunk?
Elden Ring with a pseudo-religious twist. Love it
Your number one enemy is falling off the edge lol
The music at 46-47 min soothes my soul man
your playing in PC right? how is the performance man? because some said the game is unplayable in pc
Runs smooth. 2160p DLSS balanced, graphics maxed out with ray tracing. 3080 and 13600kf. Make sure to update the drivers, causing lot of issues for people who won't bother.
@@Jinny-Wa thanks bro
Lord of the body types. ACK!
I'm disappointed
that he didn't find the crimson director sword..
Sound design is pretty unimpressive and animations look floaty af. Also am i crazy or did the spells and special effects look much better in the trailers??
Dunno i didn't have any problems i had a good time playing it animations look fine to me .
I really need a refund at this point. I’m not impressed
Most souls veteran players like Jeenine, Fightingcowboy and Ziostorm said that the animation may look floaty but when you play it it's not. I'll say the same thing speaking from my experience playing it for 5hrs now. I also really don't get how in this game, everyone suddenly becomes a sound engineer, like dude every souls veteran streamer was never bothered by it including me.
@@dracodawa6870Yeah I think animations look great and gameplay is pretty cool. Game looks good but I do agree the sound design isn't terrible.. but not impressive. Voices aren't great but that's from just watching not actually playing it so..
lol yeah, the sound is completely fine, im not sure what anyone is bitching about. voice acting is pretty good too@@dracodawa6870
Asmongold finishes the first boss after playing 43 minutes? I've been playing for almost 4 hours and I haven't beaten her yet... GG
I take more time looking around, searching for secrets, writing down lore and enjoying the scenery. Guy's just a RL barbarian. lol
@@TheOneGreat me too. Plus I kinda suck at the game. I beat Pieta now though and the woman boss after her, with the flails, she was much easier I think.
@@yourenotthatguy196 I just made it past Pieta and the area under the bridge is really nice. Will probably take me an hour to comb through that alone. lol
He played the demo.
We need more Cyberpunk
>Californian ESG punk
Someone got spoiled rotten by elden ring . Every souls game has boss run backs.
People not understanding that the blood in this game is Unreal simulated physics liquid in real time, therefore they lowered the fps so you wouldn't complain about bad performance.
No way he beat Pieta first try, took me like an hour and I beat DS3 100x faster than him, I need to rope now
don't fret about it he already beat her in the demo so he knew exactly what to expect
The run backs in this game kill it for me every single time.
litterally just plant a seed in the flowerbed that is near every major boss and you are gucci. And even then the runback is nothing compared to other soulslikes or heck even DS1
@@pelinalwhitestrake8289 having to buy those seeds and not having one while really far from another vestige is really poor design. No its not a get good or a skill issue when the level design and mob density is really bad. Having to runback just to die again and having to grind just for a seed to plant a vestige is just a bad design choice
@@celto107 I agree. This genre as a whole has moved away from the "corpse run" approach when they realised the challenge should come from fighting the boss, not monotonously running back for 5 minutes after every attempt. The whole seed mechanic is cool for between checkpoints, shouldn't have been in place of a checkpoint near the boss doors.
@@celto107inventory management is 100% a skill issue lmao. That’s like forgetting your consumes for raid and blaming the game design.
@@EXP_Jenova nah i just meant the fact that you have spend that much especially in the early game to make your own vestige. Like its fine if you have to buy them but having to manage that much vigor while figuring out if you should use it for leveling instead is poor game design. Reducing the cost of the vestige seeds would definitely help a little bit
Where can I see his live stream?
Lord of the Frame Drops
I am the Bald, I am the douche, I am nothing...
How’s the game so far besides the co op mode? Just bought it on steam
Play w the modifiers please
Lord John Fallen
The crazy part is you made it more difficult on yourself you should of used the lamp and extracted the little creature that was giving him more health pool after that he takes way more damage
Where did he get the spear?
Everyone missed the blacksmith 😂😂
The devs doesn’t want to upgrade your weapon because the game too easy 😅
It's impossible to miss Gerlinde
1:04:15
Bout fuckin time let's fuckin go!!! 😤🙌
Asmongold when are you playin dragon dogma 1 u said after cyberpunk stream u gonna play
will we get the rest of cyberpunk or he didnt play it more
He quit the game?
and then he rage quits the game lmao
These look like ps3 attack animations
Which one?
@@N3r0ThlHeavyMetal like all of them
Miles better than elden ring attack animations where you just slam the sword into the ground over and over again
so the game is pretty much linear, its not like you have an intersection. the layer feels gimmicky
Dragon's Dogma when?
*Lord Of The Balding
I saw you play this on twitch yesterday
I Will give it 6/10
Not what i Thought it would be
he cant stagger everything so game bad
looks like soul reaver with a different theme
where is the next cyberpunk upload and YES im a youtube 🐸
