Beautiful rifle! I'm planning on getting one in 300 win mag from a local gun shop soon along with a christensen arms mesa long range in 338 lapua mag. Both are great to look at and fun to shoot. Great vid! U got my sub.
Hey brother, I’ve got the same rifle in 06 if you find it in my shorts you can see how I mounted my vortex. I know it’s a pain finding the right mounts but finally they have them in stock on the website. I went through at least 4 separate scope mount purchases before they stocked them online. Once I did I was finally able to squeeze my vortex on there with just enough clearance from the barrel to enjoy that sweet eye relief. Might be worth watching. Take care friend
I just picked up a Weatherby vanguard in .243 Win. I’ve yet to mount my picatinny rail on it yet, but will. I was thinking that as an older man, this rifle I’ll be able to give to my son or grandson in a few years, and I wanted the ability to move the scope around for them. The picatinny rail might add a touch of height, but will hopefully allow a bit more movement in mounting the scope with additional movement in the rings. I’m no expert, but my thinking is if you can’t get that sight picture with set mounts only, maybe a picatinny rail might help out. You might have to get new rings to fit that rail. Best of luck.

Thanks bud, Those chamberings can get a tad hurtful on all ends haha
Great looking rifle. I’ve always liked the 243 Winchester for pronghorn and coyotes.
I've got one exactly like that one in 25-06 and it's very accurate.
That would be lovely. I've always wanted a 25-06

Thanks, Id imagine with that long action that eye relief became even more noticed.
