New Vegas honestly set a standard that I don’t think was met until Baldurs Gate 3. No other RPG allowed me to actually role play and offer so much replay value like New Vegas.
Baldurs gate 3 is way more roleplay intensive and replayable than NV and its not even close 1. Baldurs gate has more stats and just overall more stat checks in both dialogue and progression and its not just because baldurs gate is the bigger game, they are alot dencer too 2. baldurs gate has Races which actually change how npcs talk to you and unlock certain progression paths 3. your class also does the same as 2. 4. not only is there stat differences in characters but there is also so much class customisation 2 wizards can play completely differently and subclasses also have dialogue moments 5. you can have subclasses so 4 and 3 squared 6. you have party members with their own individual progression 7. you can also choose how you multiclass your party so 5 x (every single possible member) 8. having certain party members at certain times has different dialogue and progression 9. you can respec your character at any point if you want, obviously a good roleplayer will make choices to build their character properly but its good if you make a mistake nonetheless they do share similarities though: Any character can be killed including your party members who may turn on you (with the ecxeption of one if you already invited him to your party in bg3, however its your choice to invite him) and both technically have perks (feats in bg3 are basically the same equivalent) howeveer they have stark differences You can just ignore Huge parts of NV once you get yes man, you can choose to check out other tribes or not and once you do its really a yes or no if you want to be buddy buddy, its nott like you progress differently in NV you progress the same way you just choose what stuff to do along the way. on my first playthrough i made sure to look at all of the factions and decided for myself (obviously if the factions gave me a conflicting quest id postpone that to check the other one out) . on my second i already knew the factions and how my character would align with them so it wouldnt have made sense for me to go and cover all of the faftion quests, i compromised for the sake of immersion of going but picking the hostile options but that did just end up leaving me with less of an experience . and other than slight differences in the battle of hoover dam the ending is just a slideshow, you dont get to see how characters who accompanied you react in baldurs gate, you can choose who to ally with or if you want to be good or evil but you do end up going through the content that you would have missed one way or another just in a different prespective annd character reactions. every quest has atleast 2 or more conclusions to it and you can be at completely different parts of the game compared to someone else who has been playing for the same amount of time as you. and when the quests end you actually get to see everyone elses reaction to the conclusion of events while fallout new vegas was amazing for its time and is by far one of the best games in the fallout series (though i dont understand why it is a bethesda game because it wasnt made by bethesda) baldurs gate is just the more complex game
My 5 personal favorites (mixing both subjectivity and objectivity): 5) Skyrim (one of the most detailed and nuanced open worlds to explore, to this day) 4) Fallout 3 (perfect atmosphere and evil karma possibilities: *chef kiss) 3) Dishonored 1 (best stealth story- driven game ever) 2) Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game (anything you said x1000. It invented everything, pre-dating even modern cinema, and its atmosphere and writing is still unbelievably good for a game developed as a joke: a guy repeatedly offering pizza just to beg his colleagues) 1) Fallout: New Vegas (including its 4 flawless DLC, stands as the pinnacle of modern RPGs in my book)

Only thing i disagree with is the quest markers now that im grown so i dont got that much time trying find what i need like i was as a teenager or kid so im glad skyrim has it
I agree. I can't spend 20 minutes per quest trying to find what to do and when I look at the clock, it's already time to sleep to work the next morning, quest market is a blessing of current games
You might be the first person Ive seen share my opinion on Doom Eternal. Everyone just seems to universally praise that game but I just always felt it was a big step down from 2016. Also, with Prey, both me and my friend who were playing it at the same time got hard locked on some random bucket. Like we literally couldnt move and when we reloaded, it just reloaded us in the same spot. So I never actually finished it.
Honestly I prefer fallout without power armor honestly very few people go back and play older games no matter what franchise is this true for a first game in a series and even fewer people played the first game when came out.
Ok so he didn't play Rage 2. He says "this game has ton of weapon variety" and it literally has 5 to 6 weapons. One pistol, one assault rifle, one shotgun and a few special weapons.
The whole entire section got copyright claimed unfortunately. I’m working to try and get that decision reversed, but who knows what will happen. Thanks for watching!

Uhm, I disagree that FO3's ending was bad. FO3 is my favorite because of the ending. From the beginning of the end, making friends with Fawkes along with completing the Take It Back and Project Impurity missions with Liberty Prime were godly. I was left in awe for 2 days after finishing the game. And didn't Bethesda make Brink?
It's funny how you say that Fallout 3 has the worst shooting of all FPS games of that time and then proceed to say that New Vegas is the best fallout game even though it has 100% exactly the same shooting mechanics with Fallout 3 and of course without mentioning that this was a problem in New Vegas despite that they are identical. Apparently the crappy shooting is not a problem when it is New Vegas because you know, it's New Vegas.
You and me both man. People hate on F3 so much but never realize how good and amazing it was. A bumpy start but weren’t it not for 3 New Vegas wouldn’t exist
You ever think the fact YOU follow the quest markers and didn't deviate from them is your issue not the game? You do not have to. I have yet to beat any play through in skyrim (GOAT) because I am always off doing random shit lol. And if you base skyrim on just vanilla you missed it completely. It would be like not factoring in any other dlc or features any of the other games had which you did not do. Modded skyrim in 2024 is beyond epic and with 51 currently on wabajack you can experience so many new skyrim's with different quest, npc's, weapons, armors, and gameplay mechanics. Best Game Ever hands down. It is not debatable your wrong if you disagree simple as that. It would be like saying the sky is not blue and water is not wet, your wrong.
Dead Money is amazing, Aesthetically its the best in New Vegas, its unique enough as to where it delivers a different experience from the main game without straying too far, every single character to appear is very well written and memorable, it also ties in to the main game and the other DLC very well.
@@sh0tgun002 okay fair enough, but I'm looking in the context that Broken Steel is here. NGL when I was a kid and I played through the vanilla ending for the first time, I was so disappointed I got pissed off about it. Then I got the DLCs and I loved it again.
I didn't really like your format. First it would have been much better if games of each series were grouped together and presented chronologically. Also I didn't like that this list included many games that had nothing to do with Bethesda at the time they were created, such as the games you included from id Software. Those should have been covered in their own separate video. Speaking of id Software, you didn't even include some of their most important titles like Wolfenstein 3D or its successors. Games like Redfall should have also been omitted, as it was published by Bethesda but not developed by them. Overall I only disliked the game selection and organization of the video. Your experiences and insights were great and I'm glad you share this.
I appreciate your comment. I decided to kind of change the order of the games up because I feel like a large portion of my audience are only really familiar with the fallout and elder scrolls series. That way instead of watching all the fallout and elder scrolls games ranked then leave, they might learn about some games they haven’t even heard of. As for the game selection, I decided to include Bethesda published games to add some variety to the list. All of my subscribers know how I feel about New Vegas or Skyrim, so this was an opportunity to talk about some games I don’t get to very often. Thanks for watching!
