Yes I agree such good writing and direction, if you followed the story and here different dialogue pertaining to the specific docs. Like the courier turning down the job, Ringo talking about new cannnan and more excellent stories lonesome road is my favourite than honest hearts then dead money the big Mt was annoying and goofy felt like a wild wasteland dlc
Another reason why Honest Hearts is liked. Is the story of Randall Clark The Suvivalist. A U.S army veteran who lost his wife and son during the Great War in 2077 when the bombs hit Salt Lake City then sought refuge in Zion. He survived there and it even gives an origin story to the tribe known as The Sorrows as well. His logs scattered throughout Zion and his rifle which is a Pre-War 12.7mm rifle is a good way to intice people to explore. His story is well-written, emotional, and intriguing.
Funny thing about Dead Money’s “difficulty”. It comes from a programming error. ~ Supposedly: the ghost people are supposed to be blind as bats, going off of sound and touch opposed to vision. - thanks to a mistyped line of code, instead of 0% they get maxed perception. On top of that, the game’s leveling system also plays into it.
I always thought it was the lack of ammo for me that made it difficult. The collar and gas were easy to deal with. But when I had to kill something I often found myself running out of ammo
Imo, it wasn't difficult just tedious and annoying. The ghosts weren't hard, just way too spongey, I ended up just running past them in most situations. The radios and bomb collar was infuriating most points bc you'd get hit from the other side of walls and, especially later in the dlc the paths would have you fall down into gas and still have the radio beeping.
Far harbor is some of the most fun ive ever had gaming, i think its really interesting that Dima is literally doing the exact same as the institute (replacing people with synths for the 'greater good') like its not even subtle lmao but people see his ending as the good one, but the institute as evil
He's the most good out of the others he sacrificed 2 (questionable because you can tell the Tektus to leave Far Harbor) people to save all 3 factions in Far Harbor. The Institute in turn wiped out 2 major settlements, replaced people, killed those who were abducted, and after all that they destroy the settlement in which they replaced said person in after their experiment is over.
@@RaphaelAmbrosiusCosteau51 idk i think its because he tells us he's good, but everyone tells us the institutes bad and most ppl dont bother to think deeper than that because fallout 4s main narrative isnt that good lol
@@Melodyyyy3tbf there’s more nuance to his reasoning. He’s supposedly keeping the peace and from his holotape and the fact he deleted his memories of it proves that he felt too guilty and couldn’t live with the knowledge of his actions. Meanwhile there’s never any remorse from anyone in the institute and they destroyed an entire government just to maintain some sort of power while Dima seemed to just want each group to maintain their independence.
Point lookout would be SO much higher on my personal list if it wasn't annoyingly hard. It being hard isn't a bad thing in itself, but man the enemies are so tanky, and they hit like a truck no matter your armor
I’m very confused because I’m doing the whole dlc at level 8, I mean it isn’t EASY. But I’m getting through it with less problems than I expected. I remember it being hard as a kid but revisiting it’s not so bad. Did you loot the actual fuck ton of weapons and armor it just GIVES you for following Desmond’s story?
It's a shame due to the limited dev time and engine restrictions Obsidian never got to do that kind of stuff. Would've been cool to tell Joshua or Ceaser you met Ulysses and vice versa.
@@stormer9952I don’t think it’s that, rather they’d have to rehire the voice actors to say new lines. Same reason the fallout 4 companions didn’t have dialogue in nuka world and far harbor…aside from Nick
Totally agree about Far Harbor. I was done with the Dima’s Memories segment four minutes after it started. Nearly skipped Far Harbor on my second play through because of that one obnoxious series of puzzles. They’re just so goddamn grindy. Pick up a block, set it down, repeat. Clear a path, setup defenses, then wait for little bugs to scurry between two points. It’s an interesting concept, and would have been forgivable if there were just one level to complete, but it becomes this obnoxious time suck.
First off, you can store the blocks and knock out the first 4 missions in like 10 minutes, it that tedious. The last mission is actually the easiest, have a look for a tutorial, but basically you place blocks and turrets behind the barrier and it instantly lets you through.
Its funny, anytime someone complains about these missions, the kneejerk response is "but its so easy!" The difficulty isn't the problem, the clumsy mechanics and repetitiveness are. None of the things you mention change the fact that its a senseless grind whose novelty wears out before the first puzzle is finished 😉
@@Jackomacit’s easy but unnecessary literally wasting time on this boring uninspired gimmicky mission which completely puts the game and story on hold for atleast 10-15 min for absolutely no reward other then the story continuing it annoys me to the point were I usally like to skip this dlc just because of that even tho it’s a good dlc I just don’t want to play Minecraft on slow-mo no other mission made me this annoyed and agitated for what it is if the riddles were hard atleast made you actually think but not even that. Arguably the worst fallout series mission ever
Dead money remains my all time favorite. There are so many open world exploration dlcs but dead money was dark, oppressive, and mysterious. Everything was on point from the characters, the scenery, the music, the story, and the ending. I still remember the anxiety from that damn collar and making the gala dash from the bell tower to the entrance
Not really, its broken, the story is much less fleshed out than the rest of the game the radio mechanics are annoying as fuck not to mention lonesome road is just better. Better items, better story better everythjng...
Honestly I will not argue w/ Dead Money's placement, it incapsulates what the entire game is about, human greed, desire, & learning to let go. Themes that are baked into the main questline, each of your companions, & even the 3 other DLC. But Dead Money is special imo because it kicks off the DLCs' interconnected storyline by putting those themes center stage & amp them up to 11. It's just, so fucking good
Dead money has always been my favorite fallout dlc, as controversial as that opinion is. The aesthetic was absolutely amazing, the weapons were great, and so was the story! Not to mention my favorite quote comes from it "getting there that's not the hard part, it's letting go"
At first I never got the Dead Money hate since its my favourite fallout dlc but I kind of get it now. It seems to play more like a Bioshock or Resident Evil game than what you would expect from fallout
I'm by no means claustrophobic and I nearly got to experience the feeling in Dead Money. . .I say nearly because the moment got ruined by a NPC talking at the worst moment possible. I normally play the white knight character but in DM, I got frustrated enough to lock Elijah in the vault for the number of times he ruined the mood.
I just completed my second playthrough and I must be a masochist because I already want to play it again. It’s soooo much fun to me. My biggest mistake during my first time run was not hunting down every vending machine code and Dean stash. So I was pretty much almost dead the whole run. But it was still awesome. I can see why people have PTSD from it though.
@@drowatlam87I hate Dead Money because of the fucking collar mechanic and the goddamn bear traps that are everywhere. Like literally, you HAVE to have the perk that makes it so you don’t trigger traps if you don’t want to be using a stim every 2 seconds or walking around at the pace of a fucking snail.
Neat thing about Far Harbor is that you can tie it into the main game if you join the Railroad before starting the DLC and/or take Nick along from the start.
@@happygosundaydead money being number 1 was a good indicator lol. Jokes aside I love the story I just hated being trapped without my stuff however in the long run I see how that adds to the story
Personally my only problem with dead money was that the sierra madre was a little underwhelming. It was posed in the villa as a grand casino bigger than almost anything. But when you stepped inside it felt a little small. I get that it was 2010 and they didn’t have much space to work with but the villa was way bigger than the actual casino.
Mothership Zeta is underrated. It still is not as great as other DLC’s but I feel people hate on it way too hard. Alien Epoxy, and all the unique Energy Weapons make it pretty awesome.
Yes thank you. You gotta factor in the rewards with these dlc’s. Even if you don’t like playing thru zeta, the weapons you get make the game a different playthrough if you do it early enough. Same with the stealth armor and Gauss rifle.
personally, one of my biggest gripes with nuka world is that there isnt really a lot to do in the main quest if you dont wanna do the raider stuff, and that none of the major factions in the base game mesh well with the whole being a raider thing
@@happygosunday Reeling from their defeat at the Purifier. Getting your own quarters and a rank at their HQ and chatting with other NPC's and maybe picking up a new companion/romance option. Working with leadership to devise a plan to defeat Liberty Prime and executing it (thus giving you multiple options to do so, each with a pro and con). Engaging in several street-battles with the Brotherhood and wasteland militia at strategic points in DC. Then riding side-door on the Vertibirds during the assault on the Pentagon Apocalypse Now-style and fighting through it to claim the place as the Enclaves new HQ. If you inserted the FEV at the end of the base-game, it kills all the wastelanders, if you didn't then you build a new Enclave-based society in DC. It's a lot of work, but it's definitely be a cool option.
I F ing loved Dead Money, stripped of all your bad ass gear, bomb collared, trapped in a fresh hell and forced to do someone else's dirty work, it was perfection, to me. To be honest I agreed with most of your rankings ... Subscribed. Thank you sir, for validating me today ... lol
@@DegenerateJack44I played it for 2 hours, realized I hated it, loaded a save before I entered it and gave myself exp to compensate this massive waste of time
It's weird that he says that Anchorage is a cod clone but ignores how Dead Money is trying to to hamfist survival horror elements into the game at the expense of feeling like a fallout game. Thank God for the characters in dead money because otherwise it would REALLY suck. Shame you can only mention Elijah to Veronica and not her girlfriend. But then again, Christine's ending seems like it was last minute and rushed, why would she willingly choose to stay in the Madre? It doesn't make sense. "Let go" blah blah blah. Only a moron would want to stay in a place that's way more oppressive than the regular Mojave or basically anywhere else
Looking back, my first fallout DLC was mothership Zeta and I loved it. I recently replayed it and I still put it in high regard but I did understand your point on how plain and repetitive it is
I’ve been sat here with my headphones on working with this video in the background and omg the music is driving me insane. Shame cause the videos actually really good lmao.
Idk how everyone likes it because I have it in my Bottom 3 with Anchorage and Honest Hearts. I just find it to be like playing NV but with a different plot that didn’t even interest me
@WSWGGhost The DLC itself fits the vibe of Fallout perfectly I want more of that in the series. Collapsing cities and unspeakable horrors hiding in them. Not to mention Ulysses! His VA is really great and his holotapes and conversations are probably some of the most intriguing writing in the game.
@@stormer9952 it 100% fits NV perfectly but I enjoy more large scale and colorful game areas hence the liking of DM for the scale and OWB for the colors
point lookout is exactly 9 times better than fart harbor Just the oversaturated f4 colors alone bring the score down to 1 Nothing in f4 can be better than f3 or fnv for that exact matter If it wasn't called fallout it'd be considered another fortnite copy
Honeslty I use to have Londsome Road at 1 but then I realllllly listened to the story through repeat gameplay and youtube videos. Dead Moneys story about "letting go" is the best fallout has to offer.
@@SomeoneNamedMark it's a good message but I honestly didn't enjoy dead money that much, I'd personally put it dead last 😅 It felt really restrictive with the poisonous smoke and how you weren't allowed to really roam free, it felt like a different game, alot of stealth involved and it just felt very different to what I love about the fallout series. Interesting storyline and good plots points, just not enough to carry the DLC in my opinion
Dead money is definitely better on the single fact that it strips away your weapons and armor to take you out of that endgame comfort zone so you can relearn to have fun with the challenge and rebuild your arsenal
I like Old World Blues but a small issue I have with it is that outside of the main quest locations, there aren't many locations that stand out as being "the linnacle of pre war science". The locations are still cool but I feel like they were a little lacking in terms of aesthetic. For example, the weather station it is cool for its story and how it can change the weather of Higgs village but I just wish it hadn't looked like an everyday vanilla game warehouse
I dont agree with Dead Money being 1, its decent at best. I really disliked not being able to bring my own gear with me. Also, to me, all the "tasks" you need to do are rather boring except for when you finally enter the Casino. I prefer Honest Hearts over Dead Money. 4.Dead Money 3.Old World Blues 2.Honest Hearts 1.Lonesome Road
12. Zeta 11. Anchorage 10. Broken Steel 9. Automation 8. Honest Hearts 7. The Pitt 6. Dead Money 5. Nuka World 4. Lonesome Road 3. Big MT 2. Point Lookout 1. Far Harbour My favourites were the ones that felt like a whole additional game.
I hate operation anchorage because it tries to be an FPS game and Fallout is known for it's RPG elements. Other than the dialog with Chinese leader at the end of the dlc, there are no dialog options that change the story in any way. Even at the end, all you can do is make the Chinese leader kill himself so you dont have to fight him but the ending stays the same because he has to die either way. You dont have any control over the game. Also, Fallout 3's fighting mechanics suck ass. You cant even aim down ironsight. On the other hand, I love old world Blues because it does'nt try to be an FPS game. Instead, it tries to be and RPG game that contains great characters, top notch dialog, awesome story, an interesting setting and much more.
Great video. I've only played about 1/2 of these DLCs, so it was nice to hear about the ones I'm less familiar with --- and it makes me now wanna play them. On The Lonesome Road, it's a shame you didn't get the Ulysses reference. I haven't played this DLC, but from what you said, and knowing the referencing (possibly the most important single character in all of Western Literature), he's a serial traveller and has been all over the show; and I'd go as far as to guess he's trying to make his way home. Super cool they have this reference, I appreciate that a lot.
And if you decide to Google the name, you'll come across James Joyce's Ulysses, an incredible book (one of the greatest novels of all time), which itself is a reference to one of the oldest pieces of Western Literature, an Ancient Greek epic poem from around 3,000 years ago. It's essentially about a guy who has been away from home for 20 years and is trying to make his way back, and lots of things happen etc. His English name is Odysseus, but his Latin name (Ancient Roman) is Ulysses.
Solid video. You just said "DLC" so many times I thought I was losing my mind. You can get around that as we know what you are talking about from the intro.
I'm a little against dead money simply because my first experience was accidentally stumbling across it at level 5 in my first ever playthrough of NV. I suffered.
Omg sameeeee. I actually hated new Vegas for a long time because I thought the rest of the game was like dead money. Idk why they allow you to enter at level 5 in the first place ngl.
I love how thoroughly you explained all your opinions and thus enjoyed watching your video 15:55 but no, I don’t agree with your list at all, have a nice day though!
Heres what they need to do to fix automatron. Take the automatron stuff, contraptions, vault 88, and arena stuff, then throw it all in a new map. Fit vault 88 into the story, create a fitting underground terminator-apocalypse, mechanized atmosphere, call it Automatron Hell, and you have a perfectly unique and cohesive underground-mechanical themed DLC that could rank up there with OWB. Maybe they'd have to cut a whole bunch of the workshop stuff to give it a new map, quests, weapons, etc, but I would absolutely still pay $20-$25 for that.
Found this video after playing two fallout new Vegas dlcs and wondering what DLCs to play in fallout 3, thanks to you I will now play the last two new Vegas ones and 2 specific fallout 3 DLCs.
Good ranking, they're interesting. But why should I care? Half of your reasonings are just explanations of what happens and what you do, it felt like I was just watching a Kotaku article. Would have been much better if you approached them with familiarity (like the majority of people watching) and talked about specific aspects you liked and why rather than "it's good" and "they're interesting".
unfortunately, this criticism would apply to 95% of all YT vidgame content creators. I don't know if it's a zoomer/millennial thing, or it's a mask for not actually playing said games. However it makes for content that is uninteresting and unwatchable. This goes for Luke Stephens, and pretty much every other YT'er at this point in time.
Nuka World is my favorite Fallout 4 DLC. Maybe because I like collecting anything Coke related could have influenced that. The stupidity of Old World Blues had grown on me over the years so that's a good one. Never cared for Honest Hearts except Joshua Graham. The whole concept of tribals is dumb plus that DLC is so crash happy for me that I play through it quickly to get out of there.
I LOVED Nuka World and Nuka World killed Fallout at the same time. I recently returned to 76 and to be 100% honest Im having a blast and that annoys me. Fallout 3 you could nuke a town and be a slaver. Fallout NV and its DLC all had a edge to them, if Fallout NV was a movie it would be a R. I love the campy humor of Fallout, but in the end its a dark gritty universe lacking hope. Then you get the current state of 76, players doing emotes, player characters looking like they're from Fortnite, Mutations that allow you to jump like you're in Fortnite. Endless collectables from events that alloy you to build goofy and out of place elaborate camps. Im having fun, but this is so far gone from the grit of NV and even Fallout 3. Fallout is no longer a rated R franchise, hell its barely PG13 at this point as campy as 76 is. This shift in tone started with Nuka World, in my opinion. The Disney\Coke parody of collectables and merchandising has in a weird way become the core of 76. Damn me, for allowing Bethesda to do this and being a active participant in the purging of Fallout being a grim, harsh, fictional universe. Now I run from event to event hoping to get plans for a new Cappy statue.
lol it’s crazy. Without a doubt my favorite FO3 DLC is Broken Steel. I love seeing how the base game’s ending affects the world. Honest hearts is probably peak for me for FNV and Far Harbor is my top fallout DLC over all
Dead Money is my favorite DLC ever. That ATMOSPHERE tho. 10/10. The droning score, pervasive traps, no equipment, and enemy difficulty create tension so thick you can cut it with a knife. Toss in a cool setting, story, characters, and the strongest themes in the series, and you've got a masterpiece.
As I watch through this I may have to make multiple comments expressing my opinions on all games’ DLCs so consider this the one for Fallout 3. I’m tired of this Mothership Zeta hate I see from everyone, this DLC was fun to me. We get to see more of the aliens, fight through them and new enemies, like the Abominations which are terrifying and pretty tragic. We also are kinda fighting through the ship to save countless lives since the Alien Captain threatens to fire the Death Ray onto Earth, which could probably result in the deaths of many, and we take over the ship as well as get into a space battle with another Alien Spaceship. We also get Alien Epoxy which repairs weapons for free, alien crystals we find on the ship can be sold for a small fortune, alien biogel which is a good alternative to stimpaks is produced in an upgraded form from Elliot at the end, and we get sick new alien weapons like the Captain’s Side Arm. Even see people from other time periods. I also would’ve expected it to be linear since it is a highly advanced space ship, designed by an unknown intelligent species that probably made it so bland because they went for functionality. And there were certainly parts that were different from each other, like fighting the aliens but using the crashed spaceship to tear them apart, while defending from other aliens that try to stop you. We find our way out of a trash compactor, first time we ever get to walk out in space in the Fallout games and see what Earth looks like after the war, there’s certainly areas that feel different from each other. While there’s not much to do once you beat it, well isn’t it that way with all RPGs? Once you beat them there’s nothing more to do besides re do everything. Mothership Zeta if you ask me is VERY underrated, and overhated. Operation Anchorage though…..yeah it felt like they were trying to make Fallout into Call of Duty. The rewards we get out of it in the end are awesome, like the unbreakable Winterized T-51b Power Armor, Chinese Stealth Suit, Jingwei’s Shocksword and the Gauss Rifle are cool. But yeah, I just speed through Operation Anchorage, get some cool gear, and get out. Can’t really defend that DLC. Point Lookout. I don’t know for sure about this one. Better than Operation Anchorage though, but this is definitely overrated. Yeah it adds a new world space, but the main quest for it is short, after that there’s not much to do. But I do like the Lever Action rifle which is actually pretty decent, the weapons at the end I personally don’t use but I can sell some like the Microwave Emitter. The Double Barrel shotgun to me is sometimes OP, other times not. When I use it against the tribals, it’s like I just shot the weakest gauge possible at them. I mean with those garbs they wear you’d think this would blast them away, but no it’s like they’re wearing power armor. It also shoots all two shots together, and I’m pretty sure they together do the same damage listed by the pip boy. Maybe it’s a glitch on the Xbox version that I play, but other times I shoot someone with it, and it does okay damage. Anyway I don’t like the Double Barrel. I mostly play through this so I can glitch Haley’s Hardware and have a 100% repair vendor for items I can’t repair myself. Other than that, I just abandon this DLC. The Pitt. I pretty much share the same exact opinion on this one as happygosunday so 7:50 - 8:57 is my opinion.
Old World Blues and Point Lookout are probably my 2 favorites in the series they each come with a unique set of enemies, a unique location, and a bunch of sweet tools of chaos they got a unique flavor that makes them stand out from the rest of the DLCs like Far Harbor, Dead Money, and The Pitt they feel like a whole new game in a way and truly make me feel a sense of fear and or scientific curiosity the eerie facilities of Big MT and the Swamps of Point Lookout make me feel anxious as to who I may bump into a Cyberdog? Hillbilly? a random Cazador? they have so much to add in terms of replayability and I adore that the Transponder is an amazing way to get back to Big MT and I really wish we had more DLCs like these that give you an anxious yet curious feel with an atmosphere whether horrifying or scientific that gives you a chance to explore the deep secrets within these locations.
1. Honest hearts 2. Archonage 3. The pitt 4. Lonesome road 5. Point lookout 6. Far harbor 7. Broken steel 8. Old world blues 9. Dead money Havent played mothership zeta and nuka world yet
I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I actually enjoy Mothership Zeta. It's far from the best, but I always find the spaceship fun to fight through and explore. Then again, I also use TTW, a number of mods to improve combat, and a mod that let's you explore the ship again after the DLC main quest is finished.
I’ve been saving far harbor first playthrough for the ps5 update. When you said it was the best dlc they ever made, I thought “no way he means better than the oblivion dlc…” and then you showed them. I’m even more hyped now
the amount of saves and reloads it took to me to get out of sierra madre mustve been thousands. after that, i begin again, for multiple playthroughs then i realized, I left my heart in the Sierra Madre. Finding it was't the hard part. It's letting go,, letting go,,, letting go
The main reason I disagree on one thing in acreage Alaska is you can get huge amount of ammo if your game don’t spaz out after a curtain number and you can carry all your loot out of the simulator using the Jerry’s body
Mothership Zeda when it first came out everyone was buzzing over it including me. New weapons, new content. Back when nobody cared what you got as long as it was extra content. I returned to fallout 3 early this year and was mind blown on how I found the DLC really bad, now in my 30’s where I take story and gameplay in to one and unfortunately this had neither for me. Back when I used to think the DLC was 10/10 but now it’s a strong 3/10 for me. Also the fact you can get pretty much a Alien Blaster in this DLC made the whole Easter Event Egg that would happen in the main game pointless and less exciting like it used to be. Especially if ya don’t get one and you just play the DLC then you have it, completely ruined the enjoyment from the original version.
11:58 dangerous minds tho. at least Dima’s memories has gameplay. obviously dangerous minds doesn’t take as long but it’s just walking through memories of a character that wasn’t given enough screen time for me to care. i know i’m in the minority in this…but i kinda like doing Dimas memories.
I agree on everything.. except nuka world. Ive spent countless hours in nuka world studying it and learning the lore and oh my.. theres so much heartbreak and so much story there, from ozwald the non-feral glowing one, to the scientist in the vault tec among the stars.
I have always loved the Sierra Madre and its environment. The story is heartbreaking and the horror is something you only experience a couple times in all of fallout. The attention to detail was peak
Dead money is without a doubt my favorite dlc of all time. Every aspect of it is incredible. When I tell people this they look at me crazy. Glad to see other people feel the same
I'm a sucker for character design, which is why Old World Blues is typically the top of my list. So many characters and somehow all of them are just bursting with personality.
I dont know if this has always been the case but there's so much ammo and sufficient supplies in Dead Money, you just have to look for them or know where to look, I had like 200 rounds and a pistol in perfect condition and like 20 stimpacks and 10 doctors bags

Point lookout would be SO much higher on my personal list if it wasn't annoyingly hard. It being hard isn't a bad thing in itself, but man the enemies are so tanky, and they hit like a truck no matter your armor
Atleast you get a Ton of stimpaks and healing stuff
I’m very confused because I’m doing the whole dlc at level 8, I mean it isn’t EASY. But I’m getting through it with less problems than I expected. I remember it being hard as a kid but revisiting it’s not so bad. Did you loot the actual fuck ton of weapons and armor it just GIVES you for following Desmond’s story?
@@Anthroparian Might be because your low level. Bethesda can be jank with level scaling sometimes.
the 35+ magical damage each hillbilly gets that ignores damage resistance is atrociously a horrible gimmick
@@Blue_Mr_Gutsy wait seriously?
My only problem with Dead Money is you can't tell Christine that you know Veronica and you can't tell Veronica that you found Christine
@telphex4471 Nope my friend it was an engine limitation, similar to Fallout 3 how you can't take companions in or out.
@stormer9952 no it was not engine limitation
Considering you can just bypass that shit with console commands
Voices are expensive
@@molassesman4066 Josh Sawyer said it himself on a Triangle City video.
@mudson7380 Yea it does. It's a grind because you didn't understand the mechanic that you can store blocks instead of dragging them one by one.
@@danielbetancourt1483 no, I know you can store the blocks. It’s a shitty, grindy, repetitive mission that kills the DLCs momentum.
The survivalist is one of the top 10 fictional nuclear war storys ever

Dead money remains my all time favorite. There are so many open world exploration dlcs but dead money was dark, oppressive, and mysterious. Everything was on point from the characters, the scenery, the music, the story, and the ending. I still remember the anxiety from that damn collar and making the gala dash from the bell tower to the entrance
Best DLC
and casino in the background just standing above entire villa. simply beautiful
Agreed, dead money takes the cake….and the gold
Not really, its broken, the story is much less fleshed out than the rest of the game the radio mechanics are annoying as fuck not to mention lonesome road is just better. Better items, better story better everythjng...
@@s-dew I disagree
The survivalist story in Honest Hearts definitely deserves mention when considering that DLC.
I never understood the hate behind Dead Money. It was my favorite dlc by far. It brought the true fear of the Mojave wasteland to me.
Bro was smoking crack when he made this list ong.
How’d you know??
@@happygosundaydead money being number 1 was a good indicator lol. Jokes aside I love the story I just hated being trapped without my stuff however in the long run I see how that adds to the story
Personally my only problem with dead money was that the sierra madre was a little underwhelming. It was posed in the villa as a grand casino bigger than almost anything. But when you stepped inside it felt a little small. I get that it was 2010 and they didn’t have much space to work with but the villa was way bigger than the actual casino.
I guess it was always suppose to be a bunker
Same with The Strip, but what are you gonna do, engine/time limitations
Mothership Zeta is underrated. It still is not as great as other DLC’s but I feel people hate on it way too hard. Alien Epoxy, and all the unique Energy Weapons make it pretty awesome.

Yes thank you. You gotta factor in the rewards with these dlc’s. Even if you don’t like playing thru zeta, the weapons you get make the game a different playthrough if you do it early enough. Same with the stealth armor and Gauss rifle.
You’ve got the same 10 seconds of Stickerbrush Symphony on repeat bro
Thank God, someone else is pointing this out. It's driving me crazy.

personally, one of my biggest gripes with nuka world is that there isnt really a lot to do in the main quest if you dont wanna do the raider stuff, and that none of the major factions in the base game mesh well with the whole being a raider thing
Broken Steel would've jumped a lot of places if it offered the chance to join the Enclave and go on their missions.

dead money at #1 is actually insane
It’s the best
It doesn't even plays as fallout lol
Doesn't makes any sense why people would like it except they want Infinite money
Looking back, my first fallout DLC was mothership Zeta and I loved it. I recently replayed it and I still put it in high regard but I did understand your point on how plain and repetitive it is
Did something mess up with the background music cuz its the same 5 second loop from Stickerbush symphony

Loansome Road was so dang good! Wish you had a bit more time in the actual Divide than above it.

Those two went back and forth with me. Thanks for watching!
Some locations are static. There is nothing of value at the "collapsed tunnel" 🤷
I dont agree with Dead Money being 1, its decent at best. I really disliked not being able to bring my own gear with me. Also, to me, all the "tasks" you need to do are rather boring except for when you finally enter the Casino. I prefer Honest Hearts over Dead Money.

Really great video. I will say though, the background music loop was extremely distracting. Just so you’re aware for the future.
I have never understood the hate for Operation Anchorage, nor have I understood the love for Old World Blues
Because of New Vegas syndrome. If Anchorage were in New Vegas, people would say it’s a masterpiece.
Oh, and the epic poem is called ""The Odyssey". (It's also where the word 'odyssey' comes from.)
Based af. Walks into room “I don’t like 76” doesn’t elaborate.
Putting Nuka World above Honest Hearts is like saying plain marinara sauce pasta is better than a well-seasoned medium rare filet mignon.
They should make more pre-war Fallout DLCs
That kinda removes the point of fallout being post nuclear war place

I'm a little against dead money simply because my first experience was accidentally stumbling across it at level 5 in my first ever playthrough of NV. I suffered.

The only change I would make is to swap the last 2. Lonesome Road is my favorite DLC, but Dead Money is a close second
You forgot about Fallout 4 HD Resolution Texture Pack

Heresy to have operation Anchorage at 11, absolute heresy.
I recommend playing all of the fallout 3 DLC. This guy clearly has something against fallout 3
Great list and a great video but the background music drives me mad

Old world blues 1
Far harbor isn't even close to what shivering aisle was you're crazy dude
It's the new Vegas glazer, his best dlc isn't even from fallout gameplay loop 😂
what else can you say?
The background music loop throughout this video was driving me crazy lmao
Far harbor over shivering isles is crazy
Honest hearts is probably peak for me for FNV and Far Harbor is my top fallout DLC over all
Cant believe you said 'better than some games' and showed Oblivion, the game with arguably the best DLC of all time
Dead Money is my favorite DLC ever. That ATMOSPHERE tho. 10/10. The droning score, pervasive traps, no equipment, and enemy difficulty create tension so thick you can cut it with a knife. Toss in a cool setting, story, characters, and the strongest themes in the series, and you've got a masterpiece.
Point lookout walked so Far harbor could run, as much as I love the two, I feel like Point lookout feels like the demo of Far harbor

It’s fun, I just wish they had done more with it

the amount of saves and reloads it took to me to get out of sierra madre mustve been thousands. after that, i begin again, for multiple playthroughs

You lost me when you thought Far Harbor was better then The Shivering Isles
If the courier was in the pitt, he would just call caesar and be like “yo these guys want to join.”😅
The main reason I disagree on one thing in acreage Alaska is you can get huge amount of ammo if your game don’t spaz out after a curtain number and you can carry all your loot out of the simulator using the Jerry’s body
having old world blues at 4 should be a felony
I personally have Far Harbor and Dead Money as my top two. Great list!
Dead money has always been my favorite of all the DLC I’m happy it’s getting shown some love
Ok the setting and atmosphere of point lookout along with the enemies have made that my all time favourite dlc. Coming from someone who loves nv
I love/hate Dead Money. The beeping things that kill you, uhhhh
I loved trapping Elijah in the vault and swanning off with 37 gold bars
Dead money is without a doubt my favorite dlc of all time. Every aspect of it is incredible. When I tell people this they look at me crazy. Glad to see other people feel the same
I'm a sucker for character design, which is why Old World Blues is typically the top of my list. So many characters and somehow all of them are just bursting with personality.
I dont know if this has always been the case but there's so much ammo and sufficient supplies in Dead Money, you just have to look for them or know where to look, I had like 200 rounds and a pistol in perfect condition and like 20 stimpacks and 10 doctors bags
