    Thank you for the very clear and concise instructions. I am not doing the repair obviously, but Nissan dealership is. I have an understanding of most of this so I know what they need to do. It helps me to understand the scope of the work. I am a retired CDL driver, and have always been interested in what make my tour buses tick. Thank you. A great blast from my past!

    Thank you for this video. Got to fix my sister's car this weekend. Parts are roughly $60.00. Looks like you are saving her 1800.00. Got to say that others dudes cost was crazy high.

      OEM parts are very expensive. each one of those coils from Nissan is $185, and the labor is also proportionately expensive.

    hey Roy, i love your video, BUT i need to ask about the rubber grommet looking cap at the end of the ignition coil, at 2:58 in the video. I took my old coil out, and it didn't have that rubber on it, and the new one did have the extra rubber cap, and would not plug in, so i easily removed that rubber, and that is when it fit. I am working on a 2012 sentra, but i don't think that rubber cap is suppose to be on there unless it's meant for a different year sentra? Just curious what you think.

    • @RoysGarage808
      @RoysGarage808  3 роки тому

      It is absolutely not suppose to be like that, you’ll have to remove that rubber piece probably with some sort of pick, it’ll be hard but it’ll come out. Hope that helps and thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

    My daughter in San Marcos Tx is paying almost $1,899 to have them change . It must be difficult to change spark plugs and coils .

    • @RoysGarage808
      @RoysGarage808  3 роки тому

      That sounds a little on the high side, maybe they did other work on top of the coils and spark plugs? Is your daughter possibly getting it replaced at the dealership? I do know the dealership is much more expensive. If anything you can always ask for an itemized receipt. I do know that the cost parts and labor going up due to the current pandemic, so that might definitely have an impact on that. Thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

    Didn't see you put the rubber seal gasket between the engine and the intake when you put the intake on you didn't put that intake seal in place..

    • @RoysGarage808

      Replacing the intake gasket is an option. If the gasket looks good, reuse it, if not replace it or if you want to change it you can.
