    Hi Ali! I've been watching your vlogs for a while and I really like them! They inspired me to get a trials bike. Thanks!
    Just got my new Inspired Arcade yesterday! Red and nice! Wiiee!! Pretty rookie trials rider but I'm looking forward to watch more of your videos, have learned alot from them! Of course your videos make me look like an idiot when I'm riding but I have fun though ;) thanks again, keep doing what you are doing! / nick (Sweden)

    Cheers for that Ali, could you also do a tutorial on 180 drop offs and Rockwall drop offs? seem to be struggling with these and how to get the front end to come round.

    Again a great tutorial! I watched many bunnyhop tutorials when I learned it by myself and I can say that you are by far one of the best guys on youtube when it comes to explaining the technique and supporting it with clips. Keep up the good work!

    Another great tutorial Ali! Really love these! Absolutely the best 180 tutorial I've seen. I've been having so much trouble with these lately but your tip about looking at the bar has really helped! I also realized I need to turn my head a bit more as well. Now I just have to get better at riding fake and I'll be hitting it every time! Thanks so much and please keep these coming!

    Awesome tutorial Ali! You do a great job explaining techniques and also very thorough step by step. I think you just discovered a new skill you have and that is helping teach others how to progress their riding! I look forward to more tutorials. Maybe shed some light on pedal torque for different tricks and the proper time to use brakes whilst doing certain tricks ! Cheers Ali and thank you.

      I can get around 180, but not with enough momentum to fakie out. I really just need to come in faster and commit more I think. One request for your tutorials, any chance you could show a flipped version of the video too? I ride left foot forward and its just a little easier to study people going the same way.

      I couldn't find a video of the current world record so I cannot argue really. What you have to know. The Guinness committee is pretty picky and yours isn't a full 180°, so they'd probably not count it.

    • @thetrailnomad
      @thetrailnomad 7 років тому

      Yeah. I saw that after my comment. Rick is the world bunny hop champion. You should step up your game and put some effort in your bunny hops. 1.30m is pathetic! :P

    • @Rory_Semple
      @Rory_Semple 7 років тому

      Ali Clarkson just out of interest can you side hop higher than you can bunny hop Ali?

    • @thetrailnomad
      @thetrailnomad 7 років тому

      Not with a trials bike. He bunny hops 130cm and even on a pure trials bike, this is a considerable sidehop (not counting Mr. Damon Watson who sidehops onto 155cm.).

  • @harryharrison4749
    @harryharrison4749 7 років тому

    You're too good Ali, you should defo give Guinness a bell and get the record :) it'd be great to see you doing a comparison between a hard tail and a trials bike, I only have a hard tail and cant get anywhere near the height you do - a lot of folks I know say it's impossible, especially on a 29'er but I'm fairly certain it's down to skill not necessarily the bike so would be good for someone with your skill to prove it. Keep up the vlogging pal!

    Another good video :) Would it be an idea to make a video tutorial about hopping on the backwheel, or going to backwheel,is it useful, how to approach it, when/why to use? I see you often have these great moments when you just jump onto a wall to backwheel etc, how do you get your bike so high up? Is it similar to the bunny hop?

I've been practicing 180 hops for almost a year now but can't seem to get it. I've been turning my head, carving, American hops, but I can't do it. I always land on 90 or less. I can fakie properly. Dope!!!!!! I'm surprised this channel should doesn't have more subs and views.
    Ali....Bars to the waist during the hop is where I mess up. Feels like I have to lean too far forward, or it feels like I'm just going to yank the bars up and loop out. That initial part of the bunnyhop, where you create all the torq and force is what could use more explanation. I'd even pay around $5-$8 US Fun Money for that information.

    I've improved on my 180's after watching this.. just came back to let you know.. I used to do it with my back wheel like 2 inches off the ground.. now I can do it like wheel height on my bmx.. I know it doesn't sound like much.. but I am improving none the less.. If i go any higher I can't roll back..

    Hey Ali,
    Just found your channel. What's that bike you're riding? That's amazing. +1 sub.
    I'm just now getting back on a BMX at 33 years old, I bought an old 20 inch to see if I'd like it, but I'm feeling a little awkward with it all honestly. After so long riding 1000cc sports bikes on the street, this thing feels pretty weird..... Is that a trials bike you're riding? Got any advice for me? Cheers from Australia

    Hello. Thank you for awsome tutorial, but... I have a HUGE problem with doing a HOP 180... I just can't get my mind to do a Bunny Hop 180, I always do Hop 180s. I can't jump over an object (Bunny Hop bar). I think that I'm not turning my head, but when I go faster and I want to turn my head and do a BUNNY HOP 180, I just can't because I drag my rear wheel... I am fighting this problem for months now... I don't know how to fix it... Can you give me some advices?
    Btw: I ride Bmx.

    • @Gingertrash457
      @Gingertrash457 5 років тому

      1doriyan1 I’d say keep practicing! Go slow in the begining, practice just turning (curve) and bunnyhopping, instead of trying to spin. That way the spin becomes more natural, and it’s easier to get height into it since the spin is just a result from the curve.

    Sorry if this has already been answered in another video, but what would you recommend for tire pressure for street trials in general?

    • @tripleflip7
      @tripleflip7 7 років тому +2

      Gavin Murphy
      I've been riding trials and street for well over 14 years now and tell you that it all depends on the type of tire you're running and the type of Trials riding that you're doing.
      So for Street trials where you're doing more BMX type moves, you would want to run a higher pressure somewhere above 30-40+ PSI so your tires don't fold over when you do 180s and 360s.
      Likewise if you're doing more traditional trials where you're doing gaps and bunny hopping up things on to the edge, you would want to run slightly lower pressure so the tire collapses down and grips onto what you're hopping on.

    • @bless-express
      @bless-express 7 років тому +1

      Thank you! I'll mess around in the 30-40 range, and see what I end up on.

    • @tripleflip7
      @tripleflip7 7 років тому

      Gavin Murphy
      If you're trying to ride like Ali or Danny then definitely a higher pressure is needed.
      Notice in the video when he lands his huge 180 bunny hops that the tires stay perfectly still, that tells you that he's running closer to 50 or 60+ PSI in his tires to keep them that solid under pressure.
