Final Fantasy 7: Anthem of the Angels (Breaking Benjamin - Dear Agony Album)

- The moment I first heard this song when it was released a week ago, this video demanded to be made. This is an AMV set to the song "Anthem of the Angels" from Breaking Benjamin's new CD "Dear Agony," and it uses footage from Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core and Advent Children Complete. It portrays Cloud mourning the loss of his mentor and brother in arms Zack Fair, and his struggles to overcome his grief and draw strength from the memory of Zack's courage to keep fighting no matter how great the odds. The lyrics of this song are absolutely perfect for the theme, and are especially fitting with the reoccurring "angel" motif present through the FF7 saga.
This video marks the latest in my series of FF7 videos, and my first AMV rendered in full HD (made possible by the recently released Advent Children Complete Edition).

Zack Fair--probably the MOST social, friendly, caring, loyal, selfless, hard-working, energetic, driven character in FF7. I love ALL of FF7 characters but Zack truly is a great guy.

Zack Fair still a legend after all these years. Even though the man got used and betrayed by society, he always tried to rescue someone close to him, always enjoying little moments and things left in life. The man knows it will end someday, and he prepared for that.
This man makes me cried back then.

He died protecting a mako poisoned from shinra security. That part of the game kills me everytime, knowing no matter how much I fight he still dies.

Handofwar17093 The ending of 3 was pretty dark. It ends with Cloud of Darkness getting up and killing everyone.
This is an amazing AMV. All of the scene choices were amazingly timed and well chosen. Cloud's fight with Sephiroth was my favorite part (1:34). I couldn't get over how aptly timed those parts were and how the lyrics fit so amazingly well. I also was really impressed by 3:10. The transition from Aerith to Zach to Genesis was not something I expected, and it was really cool. I don't know much how this type of video is made, but I also noticed how some of the scenes faded into other scenes (so there was a little overlay) and think that was really well done and enhanced the visual and meaning. This is an AMV to be proud of and I'm glad I watched it.
I like this simply because it has made me realize that Cloud doesn't really hate Sephiroth or the trio.. he just pities them. He knows that he must kill them to save lives, but he doesn't kill them out of anger or hate, it's from more of a sympathetic view point. This is more or less evidenced by Cloud holding Kadaj as he dies. Look at Cloud's expression, it isn't a face of hate, its merciful.
I have watched this video so many times in the YEARS since i first found it :D Probably the best FFVII gmv i have ever found

I can't even say how heartbreaking this song is. If you listen to the lyrics, and hear that mournful tone in the singer's voice...It expresses pain beyond the words themselves. That violin intro really brought an elegant mood into the song.
I've never played Final Fantasy, but how the music and how the film fits together, is amazing. It's truly touching, and it's perfect.

I had never taken much interest into Final Fantasy, hardly knew what it was, until I saw this video on a Breaking Benjamin related videos list. Curious as to why I kept seeing this video all over the place, I clicked on it, wanted to find out why Zack died - even though I didn't know his name then - and decided to watch more videos to see what happened. Ever since I watched this video, I've been in love with Final Fantasy. So thank you so much for introducing me to such a wonderful game.

This video is my favorite UA-cam video, without a doubt. It is amazingly well done and it combines my favorite all-time favorite song, Breaking Benjamin - Anthem Of The Angels, with my all-time favorite video game story line, Final Fantasy VII. Even if they don't know either, they could easily easily appreciate this video for how well its made. Serious props to whomever made it =}

all Zack ever wanted was to be a hero and he got that chance when he saved cloud even though Cloud himself had forgotten it's the constant reminder / memories of his friend that made Cloud who he is today rest easy Zack your legacy will forever live on in the hearts of everyone who has ever played Crisis Core.
Zack you may not have been seen as a hero by everyone but those who remember you would forever say that you were indeed a hero.

Great video, FFVII is without a doubt the most celebrated and forever lasting video game. and this song was perfect of the theme of the series. Who knew combining one of the best modern bands and VII would be so breath taking. Even if Square Enix is making a sequel they should still remake VII. There's just too much money in it for them not to, and fans would flock to it
