- Anime music video (AMV) of the new Final Fantasy XIII (13) video game set to the song "Hurricane" by 30 Seconds to Mars. The video is based around the phrase in the chorus, "tell me would you kill to save a life," and focuses on Snow and Lightning fighting to save Serah from her fate as a L'Cie. This is one my most complex music videos, and took me over a week to make, as I made an extra effort to sync the clips with the strong beat of the song.

8 years later, this video still gives me goosebumps
An incredibly powerful mix of sound and image. The voice is very moving especially. But there is no voice without this most important sound.
Ugh that first Crash Crash Burn in the song still gives me chills.
8 years later and I still get chills by how well the song fits the video.
Some of the perfect moments:
0:38 "No matter how many times that you told me you wanted to leave" as Serah runs away after a fight with her sister.
1:10 "Heartbeat, a heartbeat
, I need a heartbeat, a heartbeat" as Serah turns to crystal.
1:30 "Crash, crash, burn, let it all burn" as Hope's mom gets caught in the explosions and falls to her death.
2:09 ""Where is your God? Where is your God? Where is your God?" as Odin, one of the gods appears.
2:32 ""Do you really want?
Do you really want me? Do you really want me dead? Or alive to torture for my sins?" as Serah shows to her fiance the stigma that caused her turn to crystal.
3:42 ""You say you're wrong, you're wrong, I'm right, I'm right, you're wrong, we fight" as Lighting and Snow fight over Serah.
These are the most obvious things to put there ,so it's kinda boring in my opinion.. vid is still good though
Lightning's younger self is called Lumina, she kinda look like Serah at some point.
Great video. The anger, sadness, regret, and simple power of the song translates so well into your work. Well done.
I love your video! Awesome song choice, wonderful editing...This video has motivated me to try and play final fantasy 13 one day. I ended up reading the plot of FF13 to understand your video. From what I learned this is probably one of the best videos I have seen that show the conflict between snow and lightning and the love between Snow and Serah. AWESOME! @YumeriaYumi Hurricane is the title of the song, but This is War is the album name, as well as the name of another song on the album.
Well done! There aren't many AMVs that are this well timed and synced, the effects give a nice touch-nothing to flashy but it draws you in. The song you chose was almost perfect for this AMV, I really, really enjoy this AMV.. :) It took you a long time no? Well, I think this is one of the best FFXIII AMVs I;ve seen. :)

To the creator: awesome video. Great choice of a song. FFXIII was a great game and you caught all of the big highlights of it. The scenes fit with the music and lyrics of the song.

I actually first came across this video on AMV.org. It's kinda sad how that used to be the pentacle of where viewers and editors could enjoy music videos, only to have been second bested by youtube in the past few years.

You know what other summon from FF2 international that I would like to see come back? Leviathan!! Man, he was awesome! Drowned everyone and call it a day! But one thing that drove me nuts about that game was how you would spend allllll your money on outfitting Rosa or the Dragoon or the summoner, and then they would be kidnapped and then when you got them back, you were back to standard gear. O_O
Oh and how the main evil Lunarian looked like a rotten peach. that was weird too

@DarkRoxas955 I downloaded all these from UA-cam after a user posted all the cutscenes from the game shortly after it was released. I believe they've all been taken down since though.
Ok, im gonna confess, ive shared this video mutliple times on my fb timeline in the last week. its awesome. its well timed, the fx are amazing, i love the first time Kanye sings the heartbeat choruse and how you enhanced the clips... very well done. And each clips are expertly chosen to fit the lines of the song... In fact it tells a wonderful story. Im constantly blown away by this video. Kudos man kudos

@DaniTyranecia It's actually a font just called "Final Fantasy" which you should be able to find by just Googling "final fantasy font." There's another one called Runic MT that I've used in some of my videos too, which is very similar.
@exilekotor1 lol, I know what you mean about listening to a song over and over. It's funny, because the songs I make music videos of I usually think of a video concept the very first time I hear the song. I can't get the ideas for the video out of my mind and listen to it over and over. Then after I make the video, I can't hear the song without picturing my video. And while I still always love the song, it's never quite the same after spending hours endlessly repeating 2 second fragments. =)

As always, kick ass job. You can really make a video. I wouldn't be surprised if you got paid to do this. It was amazing, the music mixed with the action and effect perfectly. I was completely relaxed as I watched and listened to this amazing AMV. Keep up the good work.
@DarkLordofDebate oddly enough, FFIX is the favorite of the Final Fantasy producer [forgot his name]. It's a very neat world in FFIX that is unlike the other ones. It's much lighter compared to VII and VIII, yet it still has all the elements and evil in characters/situations that FF is known for. It's one of my favorites. You can't get the plot by watching videos or reading. You must play it before passing judgment. Some of the most memorable characters are from FFIX, IMO.

One thing still bothers me. In FFXIII-2, Snow calls both Noel and Serah "kids" - dude, if she's a kid to you why the hell are you boning her? 0_o

What she probably means is that the song has some added stuff in it, the lyrics to do with heartbeat or whatever aren't in the actual song Hurricane by 30STM

@rellicproduction Ironically no I've never played it. I downloaded all the cut scenes and watched them straight through like a movie to understand the plot. I'm a strange Final Fantasy fan in that I love the stories and like making music videos of the games, but I don't own a PS3 and I've never really played the games (except playing part of FFX once at a friend's house).
