In this comprehensive video I show you how to install PixelOS custom rom on MIUI device (Redmi Note 7 Pro). Right from unlocking bootloader till clean install of custom rom, I have covered all the steps. So get into the moding gear and let's roll. Please follow the steps carefully and in order to avoid bricked device.

Some fixes for common problems:
1. Mi Unlock Tool sign in error: Use the QR code sign in method from the top right corner of the Mi Unlock Tool.
2. Mi Unlock Tool not detecting your phone: You need to install proper drivers.
3. 'Request Parameter Error' while trying to unlock your phone: Simply disconnect and reconnect your usb cable or try a different usb port.
4. Cant reboot to recovery: After flashing your new recovery img DO NOT reboot to recovery from CMD. It will simply reboot to system and when that happens the phone will automatically OVERWRITE your flashed recovery back to Mi's default recovery. Instead after you flash your recovery, power off the phone and then quickly press Volume Up + Power button to manually boot to recovery.

received "Your system has been destroyed" when following these steps. Press the power button. the phone came to default recovery.
Problem in recovery mode
one can also take the help of unoffical xiaomi unlock tool if they are facing a problem in not being able to connect to their mi account in order to unlock the bootloader
Do I have to wait after the first sign-in in the MiAccount until i am able to use the unlock tool or should it detect my phone immediately? If it should detect it immediately, can you tell me which drivers for the unlock tool I need or is there on the other hand an 'unofficial' method to unlock the bootloader

hie man i wanna say i was installing custom rom in my mobile some days ago through a video from another youtuber and by following his step he was not showing all the steps he just hide some things and my phone got stuck into the bootloop and i have given my mobile for repair and after when it will get repair i am gonna again install the custom rom in my phone but now this time through your video as it is better .

Overall Pixel Experience and PixelOS roms are best for daily driver having the features you asked for except stock MI camera which is supported for only few models

I did not take backup of that, but would be a good thing to do. It did not disappear for me and for many who have flashed .

i am not able to go over fastboot flash recovery recovery..img i did the process 10 times as u said to repeat but it shows no such file or directory
Instead of using cmd prompt to go to recovery, manually go to recovery by pressing Volume Up+Power Button. Please try and let me know

I had a some issues rebooting to the pixel recovery via cmd please help me
In that case after flashing the recovery do not run cmd command to reboot to recovery else power off and enter recovery mode manually (vol up + power button)
Thank you very much for the tutorial, only that I went through all the steps and there was no problem, but the last step when the phone boots, the pixel file that I downloaded does not recognize the phone and enters another Xiaomi menu and it is different from the video.

Other phone is fine but it should support usb debugging. Try other MI phones’ cable

Hello, This happened with me as well. But after 2 days, the ROM stabilized with better battery and no heating issue. Also feel free to subscribe and support the channel.
Can I flash derpfest by pixelos recovery by applying sd card
For derpfest I would recommend its own recovery as then the installation would be smooth and rom would be bug free
Can I somehow flash Rom only once, and after that to have updates via OTA? not just for patches of current android version, but also when updating to major a.k.a from Android 13 to 14? thanks
Unfortunately as of now for this rom only patches have auto-update option

Finally after too much problem of always booting into redmi recovery mode ,with a simple trick it booted to pixelOS and then installed pixelOS ROM, thanks again

2. I used CMD two times quick back to back "fastboot boot recovery.img" and quickly
power+ volume up button
That's it

when i command fastboot reboot recovery it comes on redmi recovery please help i have tried many times
Try manually rebooting to recovery after flashing the recovery. Vol Down+ Power Button
problem i faced 'adb devices' command didn't list my devices it 's empty step i did after installing recovery press ' power button + volume up' it will redirect you to pixel recovery mode. Thanks.

I would not advise to purchase this is 2023. You can choose any other redmi phone and later setup the mod as it would have support for more latest version of Android through MOD

Recently a software update has came but the download speed is very slow can you provide a solution?
Also there’s an option for local update so if I download the update from the maintainer’s website and if I try to update it locally will the data will be retained?

For your first question, there is no perfect solution but I had same issue and I flashed the rom again. For your second question, local update will keep your data intact unless you execute wipe data option. Feel free to subscribe and ping for more questions.

The recovery would have been flashed correctly. Try the recovery flash step 2-3 times. This should work. Reply back if it doesn’t

For Redmi Note 7 Pro and other outdated devices you simply try 2 times with the Mi Unlock software as shown in the video. For new devices unfortunately there is no way to bypass it

Have you renamed the recovery file which you have downloaded and placed it in the same folder of platform tools?

You need to download Boot.img. Vendor Boot is only required in special cases

ROM is pretty stable. There is no major issue as such in the latest update. Only you will miss stock MI camera, or you can install GCam. You can install Pixel Experience which is also great as well

my poco m3 stuck in bootloop. Tried clearing cache and yes i did clean installation means did clear cache and wipe data before sideloading ROM. I have downloaded pixelos pocom3 citrus .

I've a installed custom TWRP recovery but whenever i try to install custom rom(it's not able to read internal storage, data encryption problem) and whenever i try to wipe data it shows this error (not able to perform this task for eg)

Why not flash the Pixel Recovery through adb since you have already unlocked Bootloader

1 Flash recovery through plat-form tool through CMD and
2. I used CMD two times quick back to back
"fastboot boot recovery" and quickly power+ volume up button
That's it
Try this and let me know if it works for you.
If the above does not work, try:
What you can do is let the device restart completely, wait for few mins letting it completely reboot and then try flashing the recovery again. Give this a try and if you have already done this let me know, I will look for other options

Redmi Note 7 Pro does not support 5G hence it won’t work. Your phone modem should support the said technology

Possible chances are your downloaded Rom file is corrupt. Re- Download a fresh one and try again
@@betech2022 thank you so much for replying but 😔 i missed your reply and fell into a rabbit hole and one thing lead to another and now my phone is hard bricked, I tried using MiFlash Tool but it failed and now no fastboot no recovery nothing stuck with EDL mode that too nothing working, I gave up now... Tmw I'll go to market offline store anyone know how to unbrick edl mode device

Did not find any major bug till now. Initially the battery lasted less and device used to heat but it optimized in some time and is working fine. Will soon put a detailed review on the same.

Both roms are equally good and perform equally well, but if you want more customisations then Pixel Experience+ is the best choice. For the second part of the question, no, it will not work with Mac.
