  • Raw footage captured in Duckstation of this recently dumped prototype. Notable differences are sound effects, very strong input delay, unchecked flavor text, and the convenience store location being very unfinished. Watch until the end for it.
    More precise differences in this video:
    - Key Config option is unfinished and displays nothing.
    - Convenience Store 8 is locked in the opening, but doesn't trigger Cheryl's FMV when interacted with as it does in the final game.
    - Cheryl's FMV plays unsettling droning noises, while the final version keeps the background track.
    - Different camera angles in the alleyway.
    - Grey Children have different sound effects.
    - Harry and Cybil's meeting has different camera angles.
    - The save point doesn't have a comment of Harry leaving notes for someone in the future, and its menu is very basic.
    - The kitchen knife is called "cooking knife."
    - Harry doesn't say anything after killing the Air Screamer in the cafe.
    - The crashed car doesn't provide any health drinks for the player.
    - Now in free roam, the door to the convenience store still looks closed from the outside, but is accessible. The entire interior lacks collision on walls and props, lacks a save point, plays the results theme, and easily allows for the player to go out of bounds, softlocking the game.

    This is so interesting! I’m glad they adjusted the footstep SFX mix/volume in the final release. 😅
