Mike and Shauna have always given to me and supported me. I’m just a home lash studio. They made me feel special and that I could rock the lash world. I will forever be grateful for them 💗 LivBay Lash products are amazing also. California 😳 I live here Love Vegas Everyone who goes to Vegas get your lashes done at LivBay. So many great Lash Artists. They will make you want to move there.
Omg this is such an amazing episode! I don’t wanna own a salon with employees, I just wanna work by myself! Unless Livbay opens a salon here in Austin lol! Love ❤️ livbay lash!
This was really great. As a 51-yr old who has worked in other businesses, your business networking ideas and marketing ideas were fantastic. I am an esti, so I do herbal facials and lashes. I started with Groupon...which is like doing for free. I have been lashing for 4 years and my book is pretty full. But always striving to be better...so happy I found LivBay. Will be following more. xo
I just want to give a quick thanks for the content you guys provide! You can tell you guys really put your time and effort. Everytime i feel discourage, i always watch one of your videos for inspiration! I hope one day you can come to the UK and bless us with your training.
I’m in Florida but I would give anything to work for a company like yours. Thank you for the understanding this will help me when I am looking for a job and salon.
I’ve been an Esthetician for 15 years just started my lash journey. I work as an employee and I love it. People don’t realize everyone doesn’t want to own their business. The problem is getting older and looking for a job in this industry. I’ve been discriminated against because of my age/ experience . Don’t count out the seasoned professional because they can add a lot of value to your business
Marjorie Brown I 100% agree. We have 2 lash techs that have both been lashing over 10 years. One of them 15 years and they are a wealth of great knowledge and insight for our company . 💕
Mike and Shauna killing the lash game! If I ever move to Nevada, I would love to work for y’all. Or sell me a franchise here in Dallas, idc I want to be a part of this. I’m a licensed esthetician and two years in the lash world! Happy new year!
I started lashing last year, however I need much more practice. I started in the beauty industry many years ago as a nail tech, then became an esthetician. I’ve had several nail salons and I don’t want that anymore. Problem for me is as a new artist, when you run into difficulties there’s no one around to ask what you might be doing wrong☹️. I have a little salon in the back of my house just for me. I will see you all soon hopefully in ATL
Yes when you first start out it does get overwhelming especially if you don't have someone to go to to ask questions. We hope to see you in ATL and if you ever have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out we'd love to answer them for you ♥
Not a lash tech but your vids are super awesome and inspiring to those that think being successful is the impossible...thank you. Keep the vids coming pls 👌👌👌😍😍😍
Hi Shauna and Mike! Love all your inspiration. I have a client who is has gotten training from another lash artist/trainer. She reached out to me the other day and wanted to schedule a time session about 1 hr. so she can go over and help her order the products I use and advise her on my expertise because she loves her results. I’ve never had this before. I’ve spent a lot of time & money in my own doing research on products I like. I love helping others but how should I go about this? My time is money and I do one day would like to train others and I don’t mind sharing but should I charge being that she wants to schedule a time?
Sorany Sorany here’s the thing. This is going to be a 2 part answer. I would definitely put a training program together where you can share info and make some money from it. As far as the other girl goes, I would do the 1 hour with her and help her out. Somehow someway it will come back to you for serving and helping out another. I know she went elsewhere to get trained, but she obviously holds you in a very high regard if she’s asking you and not the other trainer. She will shout you out in the most positive light and I promise you that when you help others and put people first you will make more money in the long run for doing so than charging for that 1 time. This may or may not be the answer you were looking for but it’s just the answer we’re giving from our experience. Just like we do with all the free tutorials. Hope this helps. 💕
LivBay Lash I completely agree with you! I felt the same way and I was just contemplating. I love helping others regardless and you are right about getting so much in return! Thank you for the confirmation!
katiecao here’s a little tip from the old vault. Obviously we can’t publish it because of the name change. We deal with this all the time. Just make sure to respond positively. If you feed in to and fire back it only draws more attention and more untrue reviews. Hope this link helps. ua-cam.com/video/zCAJWCO8ofM/v-deo.html
We always just say thank you for the review (even if it was not true) and we owned it as much as possible. Usually, we say that we'll be contacting you personally and we'll make this right . The reason we make it positive is because the post really isn't for the upset person...it's for all the others who are looking to see how we respond to bad reviews. Others will read it and see us being kind and cool...then that wins over trust and they give us a call. We got a lot of clients just from how we dealt with bad reviews.
I am one of those people who is completely okay with working for someone else and recently started working for myself because i spent the last two years working for shitty money hungry owners. If I had bosses like mike and shauna I would be so happy lol
Aww we try to be people that are easy to work for. We know the feeling of working for someone so we just want our employees and lash artists to feel right at home! ❤️

Such informative videos! Was wondering how you guys deal with negative reviews (when it’s untrue/over exaggerated) and how to deal with it? ♥️
katiecao here’s a little tip from the old vault. Obviously we can’t publish it because of the name change. We deal with this all the time. Just make sure to respond positively. If you feed in to and fire back it only draws more attention and more untrue reviews. Hope this link helps.

Anitra Hokai for real! 💕
I've been a seasoned nail tech in FL. And most appointments and walk ins are not engaging ever. There's a dirty side to all facets of this industry.
nhu ray lol. For real. Clients can be super mean and hard to engage sometimes. 💕
