Can’t believe you had to nerf Alpharad with forced reading
Seriously. Nothing more painful than watching him fail to read ANYTHING.
I feel like this is Karma for him making that fake escape room.
@@jstar3382god the misinformation he spread due to not reading dialogue in three houses was a damn nightmare
@@Blaze-nm1uh wait what misinformation? I never watched his 3H video
As a alpharad gold enjoyer definitely never reads dialogue not even once
"I hate losing to Jan" is such an incredible capstone on this video bc I suspect the entire pokemon community feels that way, but ESPECIALLY alpha lmao
And he was on a roll at the beginning 😭
Alpha is PETTY
RTgame still has that win over Jan in the PLA tournament Wolfe did. That was such a fun stream to watch
@@Savyflores Smant just had the upper hand knowing that Alpharad doesn't read trainer dialogue lol
The alpha-Jan rivalry is so good. They are both just chasing clout but sometimes it gets a little personal
Alpharad’s brain is an enigma. He’ll pick up the subtle stuff, then miss that Wobbuffet had an item.
I honestly relate so much lol. Like when I'm doing a puzzle I'm super good at figuring out a complex solution or having a good idea but miss really subtle dumb stuff lol
We call that ✨adhd✨
ADHD gang :D
Literally came to say it's a weird quirk people with ADHD sometimes have, but others beat me to it
wrrr
this is a Jigsaw level puzzle, i would love to see more of these escape rooms!
wtf real youtube?
same !
UA-cam slay
W youtube
When youtube comments on ur video u know ur video is good
Smant got so good at beating impossible challenges he started making his own
Props to Atsign too, by Smant's side for a long time now making excellent mods!
Did Smant do a 3 game map randomizer yet?
@@KitsuneKoinuI think he just streamed that yesterday
That’s how he succeds
Yes. This was always inevitable
Thanks for having me! Next time I’ll beat it in a socially acceptable amount of time 💀
As soon as I saw Frank the Tank in a Smant video? Instant watch
bro gotta get Vinny into one of these lol
Honestly I'd love to see more of these from creators like Smant with people like Vintendo, Shady, and others like Dylan who do so much content around Pokémon.
MY JAW DROPPED WHEN I SAW FRANKY
I couldn't believe it your here!
Alpharad doing the first part *SOOOO* well but then fumbling so bad at the end totally fits in with his Icarus Mindset XD
had an icarus moment :/
it says so much about alpharad and jan's respective strategies when it comes to approaching pokemon that alpharad immediately figured out the overworld puzzle but jan was able to overcome that with pure moveset knowledge
And also alpharads biggest mistakes were all to do to not paying attention to text lol.
Just what you'd expect from a nuzlocker like Jan
But it wasn’t moveset knowledge
It was just pure reading
For those that don't know Astroid Videos was the first person to do a pokemon escape room challenge on his channel. I'm glad SmallAnt gave it a shot too because are so much fun to watch!
Only fitting that he’d be a guest on! I love that he was included because he was one of the last poketubers I found and I believe is less known than the other three involved in this video? I could be wrong though. I don’t know his subscriber counts
I’m so glad Astroid is getting out there. His content, ideas, and editing are so amazing. I’ve been watching him for a few years now.
Frank's content is always top notch and unique in Poketuber community
Was glad he was involved here too. Smant said he was doing this on stream a couple weeks ago and I wondered if he'd seen it from Astroid
Not really a concept anyone can claim for themselves lol
Video game escape rooms are such an interesting idea. Super excited for a possible Zelda or Mario Odyssey one in the future!
Pretty sure cj and fir have done some odyssey escape room videos.
Yeah I've seen both they're great :3
@@damamapi There's actually 3 now. Fir released a new one 2 weeks ago.
Tbf Zelda escape rooms is just very hard shrines
@@dirkstam0511oh I'm sure you could make some super interesting escape room challenges/puzzles for games like minish cap with all its items and mechanics if there is an engine for it
Idk how long exactly it took you to create this, but PLEASE PLEASE do more! This is such unique and innovative content, genuinely wish it was longer. All 3 of the participants were craaaazy smart to even figure the entire thing out. Impressive all around!
If you like this pikasprey soft lock picking is quite entertaining
@@UkNoobGamerzz Thanks for the suggestion!
This is actually such a brilliant set of puzzles, I would never have guessed Pokemon had the potential for something like this. Genuinely blown away
Go look up Pokemon VR Missions, it's a rom hack that is all puzzles like this
Alpharad's rivalry with Jan will never not make me laugh
“Rivalry” 😏😏😏😏😏😏
alpha figuring out the first parts almost instantly then selling at the end
is so in character
you could say he flew too close to the sun
wow this is brilliant. wish i was a poketuber to do something like this lol
You watch this stuff?
@@Tanystropheus10You just did as well so why bother🤦♂️
@@unfathomablyunfathomableI think he means he’s shocked that shangerdanger likes Pokémon content because it’s not at all evident from his channel
@@thewritingrowlet2980 Ah. It looked like a rude comment.
@@unfathomablyunfathomableIt really doesn’t.
Alpharad getting reallt lucky in the beginning and then completely stuck immediately after is such a mood and also extremely on brand lol
I love how Alpharad’s hair progressively got more messy as he continued to lose his mind
Einstein was'nt made in a day
Pikaspray would come up with some nasty escape rooms
Trueeeee
"The only way to escape this escape room is watering the berry tree and selling the berry for 249 days straight "
Pikaspray honestly might have helped design this
True
Ah, a man of culture
I'm not normally a fan of escape room style content, but this was great. Good puzzles, great pay off to said puzzles, and still managed to make sense in the realm of being based on Pokemon. 10/10.
“I’m a little shocked I didn’t do that.” is the best part for me. Hope you get more mileage out of this idea and all your effort for it!
Ironically, when you finally "escape" you end up in a room; having been outside for the most part
We need more UA-camrs that make these kinds of small puzzles.
AstroidVideos has done a couple, he was the first from my knowledge to start doing them
There’s various puzzles in different games quality depending on the creativity of the creator and the limitations and mechanics of the games. Minecraft escape rooms can be really cool, but most designers either don’t think about certain mechanics or implement an honor system to restrict a player making the puzzles less satisfying. Super Mario Odyssey has had a few escape puzzles. Fir has made two which SmallAnt has been in both. I believe some other SMO creators have made some as well. You will find these for nearly any game that has any level of modding and level creation. The amount might drastically differ just due to how popular the idea is for certain game communities. Like technically you could do this in Fire Emblem, but I don’t know how popular escape rooms are in the Fire Emblem community.
I was wondering if Sketching Waterfall off of Seaking in order to traverse a waterfall was ever going to happen. I also thought maybe you needed to catch a Sableye who is immune to both Psychic and Razor Wind in order to beat the double battle. But the puzzles that were actually in here were way better than anything I could come up with
this was so fun to watch! it's amazing how much in-game knowledge you need to have to actually be able to solve those. and I really liked how the hints didn't straightforwardly tell them what to do and just hinting, like they were supposed to! love it and can't wait for the next one :)
Alpharad immediately figuring out nearly everything is so on par for him
Yeah and then fucking up at the end
He sold this cometition so hard he managed to profit
u commented this half way through the video lmaoo watch the whole thing first next time
@@jordan0183as soon as he had all information he immediately figured things out, he was just pretty bad at finding information
I’m actually surprised they didn’t check on the PC the HOF team at the beginning of the challenge. That was a a good hint.
Smant got tired of being tortured in Fir's escape rooms and decided to become the torturer himself
this is such an amazing concept, really wish there could be an episode 2 with other contestants or maybe the same but on a even trickier/longer map now that they know a few tricks!
so dope seeing frank in collabs with such big youtubers nowadays, he's come a long way
The fact alpha knew exactly what to do without seeing protection is insane
Frank taking the longest is surprising considering he makes videos on Pokemon escape rooms too lol
He's also Frank 😂
@@topher7823he has the speed of a sebring
@@jasonmartin7968I love the references 😂
I was also surprised to see frank on smallant's channel didn't see that coming
Having an escape room where the clues can be especially obtuse because options are limited by the "rules" of the video game they're playing is a really interesting well fo content.
Id love to see more stuff like this. Its probably super time consuming conpared to challenge run content to set up though.
This was definitley one of your best videos I've seen, cant wait to see more escape room content in the future!
The Hall of Fame reveal at the end was really hype ngl
Love seeing Astroid getting into the bigger Pokétuber circles. He really deserves it!
I used to watch him years ago and it was so nice seeing him again, especially on Smant's channel :)
You absolutely must do more of these. This is such a great idea!
glad you're trying your hand at these! I hope you design some more, you're clearly good at it
Oh this is a fascinating concept! Kudos for putting this together. Interesting to see how alpharad intuits things, but if that doesn't work he's stumped, while Jan breaks shit down but by bit
This is actually awesome. I watched it during a Chrism stream. You should make more roms like this Smallant they are a cool concept
Absolutely awesome video. Wish it was longer but of course, hard to get these guys to commit to spending 5+ hours filming this. Great concept
this video was perfection. i put it on as background noise while i studied but couldn't look away 😂 the pacing was fantastic, the information he gave us was just enough to understand everything that was going on while still being able to solve it ourselves, only 15 minutes so no bs, great video.
My only problem with this video is Frank's pronunciation of covet, other than that this is a perfect video.
absolutely this
That drove me nuts. At first, I thought it was a gag based on COVID, but he said it a few too many times for that to be the case.
coveit? ^.^
This was such a cool concept, and it was great seeing how each person went about solving each part of the puzzle! Great storytelling as always and I'm excited to potentially see more stuff like this :)
This is super creative! I hope we can see more of these in the future (as well as with different UA-camrs as well)!
I loved this! Would also love to see more of these types of videos!
"I hate losing to Jan" Jacob's and Jan's rivalry is always to engaging to watch
Covet pronunciation is killing me
this was a great idea, I'd love to see more of this content !
This was super cool! Would love to see more content like this!
"I hate losing to Jan" is by now such an iconic sentence to say for Alpharad haha 😂
I LOVE ASTROID… so good to see Frank recognized for his greatness ♥️
This was absurdly engaging and fun. Awesome idea and fantastic execution!
The collab was great and god such a cool concept! Need to see you do more pokemon escape rooms the way it uses the game mechanics is insane!
It's safe to say that I am genuinely addicted to SmallAnt content.
Just wanted to give a thanks for the great videos you produce :)
I love all the tricks like the shiny togepi just to really throw them off
This was super cool, I wish you had asked Pikasprey Yellow to participate, he has a whole series on his channel called softlockpicking that’s basically about making scenarios like this (but in the base games not using roms)
I LOVED watching this! Maybe its your narration over others, the the type of challenges you do, but i really enjoyed this vid.
Video turned out great! The escape room was tons of fun, makes me wish there were more of this kind around c:
Frank, my dude! Good to see him getting such big collabs.
Yeah, was not expecting it, been watching Frank since the og diamond and pearl soul link😊
This is such a cool concept. I'm in the middle of watching Shadypenguin's escape room stream and I had no idea you made more than one of these!
I love these; ngl I would watch an entire series of these, though I can bet this is incredibly challenging to put together given the lexicon of knowledge nuzlocke and poketubers already have.
great to see frank doing some big collabs with some big youtubers
I love to see astroid in one of these collab videos! Dude is super underrated imo
This is definitely one of the coolest things I've seen recently - fantastic job on making the Poke'mon Escape Room!
This was sooo cool, interested in seeing more like this! Thank you for taking the time and making this! ❤
I love escape games, much less stressful than working with real people to do real escape rooms
Respect to Jacob, he has come so far from his first Nuzlocke.
This is such an interesting and cool idea!! I hope more youtubers do this
PLEASE do more of these. I've never seen a Pokémon escape room, this was such a fun watch!
This was a really, really fun watch. Such intelligent use of the game mechanics! And really satisfying to watch them figure it out (which is testament to how well edited the video is!). More of this sort in Pokemon would be great!
I hope this escape room was fun for you to make, because I want more.
This was so fun! Would love to see more of these + great collaborations too!
Honestly the video is so incredible it could be a little more longer just to explain a bit more the details of the design! Love your vids (and streams)!
This is such a cool idea! Pokémon has so many niche mechanics that most players wouldn't immediately think of so there's a lot you could do with this concept, I really hope we'll see more of it!
Frank finally getting the recognition he deserves
Yeah let's go frank !!
From the diamond and pearl soul link and "hoenn and sinnoh we're playing different games !" to here lol
That is an amazing idea! You could make a series of these and I'd watch them all.
More like this would be awesome, this was super fun to watch
I appreciate how Jacob applied some big brain moment in starting and also Smant who made this escape room challenge. It was funny to see Astroid the one who is expert at making these kind of ecape room came last.
"Who finds the final solution the fastest"
*sweats profusely in german*
Awesome idea Smant! Keep up the colabs and great content 👌🏼
This was fantastic! I need more of this.
Gotta say, it's so unbelievably in character that Alphard would stumble past the first step like, 25 minutes ahead of everyone else, only to miss the held item for like an hour
The fact that it opens with,
“I trapped three Pokémon UA-camrs” is freaking comedy gold
Super sick video idea. Need more Pokémon puzzles and escape rooms for sure!
This was a super fun idea for a challenge, definitely do more of these.
I’m not breathing until you post a new video
The Alpharad and PokemonChallenges rivalry continues.
Very cool, please do more of these :)
I really enjoyed this video!! Lately I haven't been feeling the content, but this in particular was absolutely amazing!
I hope someone eventually told asteroid how to pronounce covet
God damn, Smant, Alpharad, Jan, and the loch ness monster in one video!
Please do more of this! I love this concept:)
This was such a cool idea! Would love to see more of these in the future !
It is what it is
This concept is so cool. I wonder how you could incorporate this into a longer session 🤔
Please do more of these! This was amazing
Such an interesting way to make a puzzle! Loved this!
I winced everytime Astroid mispronounced covet
The way he said covet like covid annoyed me so much for some reason
Wow what an unbelievably entertaining concept! I hope this becomes a series!
Really creative concept! Was interesting to watch how the youtubers approeched it as well
