I feel like anytime Smant gets invited to do a Pokémon race, it’s never “who’s the fastest”, but instead “who comes in second and how far ahead in first is Smant”. Guy’s way too good (and/or lucky) at these.
Smant in an escape room, you know how that's gonna go… While everyone is looking for the door key that's hidden in the chimney, he will somehow build a window and leave through it 😅
@@Whacko2I think the glitch was Smant finished the first puzzle and then decided to talk to the onix anyways, making the puzzle reset, but it didn’t reset that he already completed it, so he could’ve gone on to finish the second puzzle normally without redoing the first one, but since he redid the first once, that triggered the second one to be complete
I just analyzed and fixed the bug. It turned out that unnecessarily talking to that Onix after having solved the first room did reset the room, but not the game state (which already had the room cleared). By solving the first room again (with deactivated NPCs btw) the game thought the second room was already clear when he entered that. Funny it was him that happened to find this :D

It’s a cool concept but this video is nearly impossible to follow. I don’t think you can compress a multiple hour event done by 4 people into 18 minutes without it feeling like a lot is being lost. Where are most of these pokemon from? Why was finding a poke ball a big deal when it seems like people just have however many pokemon they need? Why does flygon have pokemon below his gameplay? I’m so lost :(
I definitely chopped up some of the cave puzzle, so there are chunks missing there. The 18 minutes part was tough. I just rewatched so I could think about this comment, and I definitely think I presented the information you're asking about BUT that doesn't mean I couldn't have been clearer! Everyone started with Sableye and Mantyke. I do explain how each Pokemon is acquired after that, but would happily answer questions if you need clarification. Finding the Pokeball does get a little lost in its purpose, but it was for the Remoraid in the pond! Also, Flygon had just finished playing another game, and those pokemon on the screen were his team for that haha. Had nothing to do with this escape room. Anyways, I really appreciate your feedback, and totally accept the criticism, as this was my first edit for the channel in a LONG time. Thank you for checking it out anyways!!

I got softlocked darn near immediately because I didn't catch a remoraid before they disappeared, and my mantyke was too low level to fight the trainer past the first tree. You get basically 0 exp from fighting the farfetches so unless I wanted to grind for 4 hours to level up 1 time, I instantly dropped the escape room. It even proclaims you can't get softlocked in it and dont need to level grind
I definitely edited this to make it seem closer than it was, but I did have each runner read out their times! Smant was about 1 hour 45 minutes, Drxx was about 3 hours, Flygon was about 5 hours 15 minutes, and Hasty didn't finish the final battle. I appreciate you watching the video! Additionally, i am having trouble following the process for the Wonder Guard fight. The inserted clip of Smallant has him talking to his audience, who has probably seen him fail this fight before and has context. I have no idea why he's doing anything. I understand you didn't want to make the video overly long, but I feel like so much content was cut that is impacting the viewing experience for a viewer not familiar with this escape room. Edit: finished the video. A lot was also cut between the braille pokedex and Archie. Overall good video. I think it could be improved with more footage
Thank you for the feedback Zack!! I think I did a good job showcasing the runners and their personalities/fun moments, but failed to show the solutions to the puzzles the way I think people wanted to see them. I guess I just thought people would want to check out the actual Escape Room on their own? I'll be more cautious of that with the next Escape Room video I do. Again, I really appreciate the feedback.

It genuinely feels like I wasted my time watching this video. Great content idea but the video itself feels like a minimally edited livestream.
I made deliberate decisions with editing! I've explained in a couple other comments why I made the decisions I did, but here are my thoughts: - I edited this to showcase my friends' skills, and didn't really intend on breaking down how each obstacle worked within the race! This is because I was worried about spoiling the solutions if people wanted to try it out themselves. I realize now that this was a mistake, as people want to see solutions, so that will be better in upcoming escape room videos! - This was my first edit on the channel, so there were flaws and things I had to work on! I had 48 hours to turn this from footage into a video, and released something I was proud of. I have to live with the result haha! As for your comment about casual viewers needing more info, I think that's something that I should have considered as well! I'm so used to putting out hardcore nuzlocke content, and I think more casual pokemon enjoyers deserved to be able to engage in this. I would appreciate if your words were kinder and more constructive than just "you do a terrible job of telling stories". Still, I am grateful you watched the video and hope you stick out the next one
@@Whacko2 Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed explanation of your thought process. 1. Admittedly, I hadn't considered that some people may want to try the puzzle themselves. However, I'd imagine those people would simply avoid watching the video so a detailed breakdown would make for an entertaining video. 2. My mistake! I saw that the channel already had 50k+ subscribers and a steady stream of viewers so I expected a higher quality of video. It was dumb of me to be so demanding. 3. Again, I wasn't familiar with your usual content so my comments were misplaced. Even still, I think being more friendly to casual enjoyers would make for more widely engaging content. I SINCERELY apologize for how rude I was in my original comment. I was very frustrated because I spent tons of time OUTSIDE of the video to figure out how each puzzle worked (especially the double battle solution). I may enjoy Pokemon escape room videos but I took this too seriously. I'll try to be kinder and not let my frustrations out on fellow creators.
