very good, but could you pls explair the plate using in multipitch, when the follower climer 1) first is in top rope and then 2) pass you , and is in lead climing position over you ? thanks . so I mean the change from belay the second climer as a follower , pass you und becomes to the frist leading claimer , how to handle easy with out putting off the rope
According to C.A.M.P.'s website, you should be able to girth hitch a sling through the bottom hole that's not being used and "flip" the devise like you would any other guide mode devise, make sure you put a backup on the break stand though. I'm planning on making a video in the future on this subject too, I'll mention working with a Gigi type devise. Thanks for watching
@@ryantilley9063 interesting. seems like it could be more awkward than gaining leverage with the loop in the mega jul but I'll probably be getting this second belay piece. thanks!
Very informative, I'll be picking one of these up now. Cheers 👍
I climb with a guy who just sticks one of these in his chalk bag and keeps it there as a backup in case someone drops their ATC.

Really well done, especially for somebody with so few subs. Make more.
Huh, interesting about the flipping of the ropes. I routinely use 8.1mm half ropes when Ice climbing...
If you use half ropes, you would be clipping both ropes through the carabiner, which prevents it from flipping. You will be safe from that
how does it work for lowering from top belay?
thanks for the review
