Should work great! My dad had a solar hot water heater that heated a crap load of hot water and it had a pump and it even heated his house when the sun was shinning.

Hello Graham. Thanks for the question. I haven't made much progress because of life issues and other projects, but I did just pick up a 275 gallon plastic tote that I will use to make sure my control circuit is functioning. I wish I had better progress to report.

I don't see any update on this....how hot did the water get? how much 140 degree water can you pump per hour?can you get more than a gallon per hour?

Mike Read sorry Mike I never used it. I may use it in the very near future to heat a floor though.

No, it's polyiso and has the silver barrier to protect it. There is a portion of the silver sheet that ripped about the size of a cigarette and the white styrofoam at this area indeed melted. I filled the small cavity with silicon... we'll see how it does.

I don't know why I never noticed this question. Sorry I didn't get to it sooner. Yes, a pump is needed unless I am thermosyphoning which would require a holding tank which is physically higher than the absorber. The pump needs a head height equal to the highest point the liquid will travel.

Great work. I like it. But, what do you say about corossion? Bimetallic corrosion occurs when we contact two metals with different electrical potential ( copper with aluminum or other metals). Thanks.

Hey Guy! Thanks for stopping by my channel.
I found it at a local greenhouse supply that offered reasonable prices. It's shipped on a large cargo ship from Isreal or something so it's possible for me to get almost any length I need up to something like 30 ft!
Please sub to my channel! :)
