    My wife and I used to fly on ANA (NOT United) from LAX to HND ($650 USD RT) ONLY because of the price and it arrives at 5:30am but we now prefer Korean Air from Honolulu to Tokyo.

      Nice, I had an option to fly on Korean Airlines but I think the timing was wrong for our trip. Will keep that in mind to fly Korean Air next time. Appreciate the comment! Would appreciate a subscription to help me out 🙏 Thanks again!

    Hello, thanks for the video. Did you need to do a PCR test prior to departure ?

    • @innerchie
      @innerchie  Рік тому +1

      Thank you for watching. It really depends on the final destination you are heading. I know Japan was much stricter if you are going there. You may need to look it up on their government website. For the Philippines, if you have been vaccinated you will not need a PCR test but will require one if you don't. Again it all depends on the final destination. Hope this helps, would be amazing if you can support me and subscribe :)

    I'm curious do you think it's better to go fly at night or morning time? I'm going to japan next year and hope it's easy to navigate the trains lol

    • @innerchie
      @innerchie  Рік тому +1

      Hi YahalloChan, Wow so jealous! Japan will be awesome. I guess it really depends on you when we arrived in japan it probably around 5 or so, I know that it was golden hour and the sun was about to set. If you fly in the night it will be morning there and probably much easier to navigate. For our final destination which was Philippines, it was like almost 11PM so super late for us. Not sure if this helps but you can see the landing video and it was sunset.

      @@innerchie Yeah for sure man you earned a sub and like from me :) Will for sure watch your other vids for good reference :D Very well made video and now I have a good idea of what to expect on my first flight internationally :) I have one more question what is your experience with buying souvenirs back home? I heard there's a tax and I'm getting different info about it on the internet. I want to make sure I avoid getting the stuff I buy thrown out due to it being restricted or not paying tax?

    • @innerchie
      @innerchie  Рік тому +1

      For souvenirs, of course your restricted in bringing meat products, live plants, fresh fruits. I think if they are packed a certain way those or preserved those are ok as long as it's salted, canned, smoked or something like that. When we arrived back into the States and Seattle which I still need to make those videos. You will enter the new international hub. US Passport holders will be on one line and international passports will be in another. Once you reach an USCIS agent, they will ask where you came from, purpose of your stay, sometimes ask for work, where you live and if you are bringing anything back.
      Coming from the Philippines, we had dried fish, pastries, clothes and gold jewelries. The thing I noticed that was different , we didn't fill up any custom forms, declaration forms or anything like that. Many years prior to the pandemic we had those filled, not sure if it was due to staffing so those were skipped all together. Anyway, once the Agent asked the question which was easy. He asked where did we go? Philippines. Where do you live? Seattle. What did you bring back? I said pastries. Few minutes glance over and had as response. Welcome home! Go that way and we headed out to the m ain concourse at Seatac.
      I'll work on the video and make sure to let you know once it is up. Hope this helps :) Appreciate the sub!!

      @@innerchie Got it appreciate your answer yeah since this is my first time traveling especially going internationally I been researching about it and getting paranoid because I never experienced the process first hand and afraid I would screw up to be denied entry or something. So based off your answer it doesn't seem like going through immigration and custom is hard? Just asking for passport and what I'm doing there and that's it? Glad to hear the tax thing doesn't seem like a big deal haha For sure I will watch more of your videos overtime for reference :)

      Don't stress out too much and just prepare to enjoy yourself. Traveling abroad is an amazing experience, you get to see how the others live and you also will appreciate things you do have compare to other countries. I know how it feels to travel abroad for the first time. I did it a long time ago, not really knowing the language to well, or the people I'm going to be meeting. But it did change me and I learn to embrace life more. One thing that stuck with me, traveling to a third world country like the Philippines my first ime out. I was in a middle of traffic and there was a flood on the street. I saw these little kids. All wet, barely any clothes were playing by a drainage which cause like a mini river.. They were screaming an yelling with joy. They used their slippers as a make shift boat, a plastic bottle too to float it down. The faces were pure joy and innocence. It thought me, that even tho you have little, you still can enjoy life. Anyway, enjoy it all take it all in. I'm sure you will be back for more adventures in your next travels. You have this channel, why not vlog it? Even if your not trying to be a youtuber, it's super cool to document it for the future you. I can always look back on my videos and remember all the amazing things I saw. Especially years down the road.. :)

    what was the date of this flight? Two weeks ago? Still making people wear masks?

    • @innerchie
      @innerchie  Рік тому +2

      That's awesome. On our flight return we were not required to wear a mask it was only going to Japan and Manila. This was around Feb where they were kinda strict while we already were open. Glad you didn't have to wear it, it was super uncomfortable wearing that thing the whole trip. I came to a point where I let it hang during the night sleeping times haha.. The noodles are sōmen. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%C5%8Dmen
    Those meals are pretty average on Japanese airlines. The fact that you thought they were very delicious probably says more about the less-than-average quality of food on other airlines you're used to flying. Glad you got to experience something different!

    • @innerchie
      @innerchie  7 днів тому

      I flew on united air and flights on Eva air. The US airlines was terrible and Eva air was not on par. So yes, way better flavors on this airlines. It means Japanese air travel is superior than the ones I travel on. Thanks for watching.

    Interesting video. Unfortunately, I think tickets are now overpriced with ANA to go from Europe to Japan comparing with the prices charged by this company in the past even if there is inflation and increase in fuel prices. I will fly with Qatar Airways or Etihad to go to Japan instead for an overall best value for money

    • @innerchie
      @innerchie  Рік тому

      Fair enough, never had a chance to fly Qatar or Etihad. But I heard Qatar has fantastic service as well. Options are always good and yes with prices of fuel, totally get it. There were other cheaper airlines as well but didn't like the flights last time so I rather spend a few more dollars for a better experience. Thanks for watching! Hope you can support and subscribe!! Again appreciate the comment!!

      It's probably cheaper overall to fly to LA and then fly out on ZIPAIR, a "budget" airline owned by JAL.
