Agree. What was great with chained eliminations is that it awarded players who started to master the combat system by allowing the character to dispose of multiple enemies quickly. In terms of gameplay, having a way to eliminate quickly a large number of enemies allows the developers to confront the player with larger groups. This is a game that i will definitely play but i do have a concern about the assassinate animation because it looks slow unlike the older games but still a great game.
There's multiple animations for each type of assassination, some are slower than others. For example, when you're crouched behind a guard, the animation is very quick. That's because the devs know you'll probably move somewhere else right after assassinating someone to avoid getting spotted. High profile assassinations are slow but efficient, especially the ones in combat after you stun a guard with a smoke bomb. Although the game probably won't be perfect, it still is a step in the right direction.
I also noticed that in the smoke bomb section of the video and it worried me, but then I saw that Basim had sprinted over to his targets, so perhaps those were high profile assassinations which do take longer and are more noticeable. I hope that low profile ones are quick.

I wrote comment on it above...that Assassins Focus feature seems extremely lazy and already seen thing. They could'ev added something more thrilling, cinematic for njinja-fighter type gamestyle like using things from surroundings to your fighting adventage like for example Sleeping Dogs does (smeshing enemys into bazar stands, throwing oil vases on enemys to light them on fire, stabbing, pusing them with bottles, woodplanks or such objects lying around outside and inside enclosed places etc.) or to do that with cinematic enviroment fighting while parkouring. Make us feel more like adroit one man army njinja...then just teleporting and killing enemys.
Mirage is looking like the amalgamation of all the positive qualities from every AC game. I haven't copped the RPG style AC games on release but I'm so tempted to buy Mirage on release because of its return to form. Still hoping Ubisoft makes a game similar to the AC formula but in a Japanese setting. It doesn't need to be involved with the AC timeline or lore. Just hoping to get a game similar to Ghost of Tsushima cause I don't have a Playstation

Your eyes not wrong. It was said that this man Basim Ibn Ishaq of Iraq is so fast having a speed at roughly 8.3 million mph (13.5 million km/h ) or Mach 10,925 when he using his Hasyasyiun Focus.
I get some folks don’t like the chain assassin move because it looks like Basim is teleporting, but when you think about it, a skilled assassin’s moments could be so quick and precise that the human eye couldn’t process it as “Human” a *Mirage* if you will.
I'm looking forward to the game. After playing Origins with the bird, I've decided in later games (and replays) that using the bird feels too much like a "cheat mode" (even though it's not at all cheating) and reduced the fun of stealth gameplay so I stopped using it except when completely stuck in finding an objective. I will still mark enemies by aiming at them, though just not with the eagle.
Bro... I just can't with these ppl always whining about the teleport. As if assassin's creed was some history simulator. It's just one gameplay mechanic that utilizes the fact that the game is a simulation in a fictional machine. So stop crying about this one feature, it's not gonna burn ur house down.
@@ingoyamathewise8654 first of all, if you played older AC games, you would know that eagle vision was in the first AC game, it's literally a core element of the game. It wasn't suddenly introduced in AC2 as you try to make it. AC Unity?! That game is closer to the original franchise than any of the last games... it's all about parkour, bringing atmosphere of that time to us, etc. AC nowadays is basically like playing The Witcher, it has more magic and 💩 than anything it was originally.
@@starbirds007 brother... we know you first started playing AC game when Origins was released. If I wanted a game where one can teleport and control/stop the time, I would simply turn on Portal or Superhot. LMAO
@@CRO_GROF Wrong! Black flag was my first, then unity, and then one two and three, origins was last and I haven't played any other RPG game. All I'm saying is that the teleport should be the least of your problems with this game and it is a harmless feature like the disguise and invisibility in AC Unity Syndicate respectively. Try to be more open minded, this isn't breaking the series' roots!
Well they used the same engine which was used to make Valhalla and Odyssey. But the parkour in this game would be far better than those games at least...
@@ANI_Editz612 I know but I still expected atleast a bit more. Atleast side hops like in the first AC games, that alone would make the parkour much better
This is truly looking promising I have not bought an ax game since unity The minute it went rpg I truly abandoned the series This is gonna make me go back Good job ubi
The teleportation is a horrible idea, executed horribly by Ubisoft. I thought the game was supposed to be about movement/parkour, combat and assassinations? It seems odd that they'd just be like, "actually screw it, don't try to reach your target on foot, moving through crowds, parkouring etc. , just teleport!"
You still need to make stealth assassinations to get it, I don’t like that it’s here, but atleast it encourages stealth, while also being totally skippable
I know what you're saying and I want to agree but don't you fear that they've spent time developing that part of the game and thinks like faster/sleeker animations have just been ignored. With a mechanic like teleportation, despite you claiming it's not a core mechanic, that doesn't necessarily mean the game won't have aspects built around it. I won't be using it, and it's a huge shame it exists.@@GoblinSlayerZach
They have changed the animation to make it seem more like an Animus hack/glitch. It looks different now compared to when they first introduced it. I'll give Ubisoft credit where credit is due. They listened to the complaints...
@@theragers9718 dont get me wrong, all that you mentioned its good, but bro look at that combat, it looks just like Valhalla, Bazim looks heavy, he even walks like Eivor, compare it yourself bro, and you'll see it.
The only thing that still bugs me about this game is how weird the combat looks. It's still like origins and Valhalla. I like the old combat better, like in unity
I agree but since combat isn’t a focus, it’s not bothering me too much. I doubt I’m going to be getting into it much aside from the mercenary you fight at max notoriety and potential story-scripted combat settings
I wish this game would pick up on some elements from MGSV, such as the AI. Guards noticing that one of their patrols are missing or haven't completed their shift. Or guards adapting to the 'Hidden One' by fortifying their defences. I just wish the AI improved a bit cause it looks the same as past games
This is a nice video because I am not in the loop or too experienced with AC since I've played a long time ago. Can't wait to try out the stealth and parkour when it releases.
I still have no idea what "going back to the roots" means for this game. The stealth, the assassination, the tools, the parkour, the abilities you have, they're all straight out of Valhalla, Odyssey and Origins. You'll still be crouching in grass, using a drone eagle to mark enemies, and now you'll also have the mark & execute ability from Blacklist. Going back to the roots here is just a marketing term, not a design philosophy. I appreciate that Baghdad will support more parkour than the RPG games, but this ain't it for me. Hoping the next one actually has the balls to take the series further instead of this half measure bullshit.
It's just a marketing phrase they are using to hook people who were wanting the series to return to its roots. When in reality they are just putting some elements back in that were missing from the RPG games, while still keeping things from the RPG games.
@@RodZombie the sad part is that they weren't even missing from Valhalla, the most shat on game among the RPG series. It had social stealth, it had tools like smoke bombs, it had one-hit assassination, pick pocketing, eaves dropping and so much more. It's not a return to form. Like you said, it's just a marketing line. A hook that everyone is desperately hanging on while fantasizing the game to be more than it actually is.
@@ayyyyomanTrue, the only refreshing thing is the environment and I suppose the more linear structure. The story is the most intriguing part for me as they actually left it on an interesting spot at the end of Valhalla

Make us feel more like adroit one man army njinja...then just teleporting and killing enemys.
Super excited for this. Can't wait!
Actually, there’s one in development that is going to be set in medieval japan. But, unfortunately, it’s going to have the rpg system…
@kbdc Well do I have news for you they are making an Assassin's Creed game set in Japan. It will however be built by the Valhalla system. But I fully believe it will have the Mirage stealth system
i don't mind the rpg system as long as it's not bloated like odyssey & valhalla@@pauloricardo2405
excited for that. might be a day 1 buy if mirage delivers on their release@@mitchellrose2645
@@mitchellrose2645currently it is in the val system but if this game goes critically and sales wise really well then it could mean a shift back to this style. But ofc, if it doesnt do as well then they’d fs stick w the val system
a good step in the right direction
Assassin's focus would be look more cool and realistic if it worked like multi fear takedown in batman Arkham knight
yeah not having a cool animation and just a tp to the enemy really brings it down
I really hope you guys used the original voice of Basim from Valhalla, that voice was so beautiful and suited Basim perfectly!!
They did not.
Finally "Real" stealth is back.❤
exactly'
Ubisoft is honestly god awful at making stealth for their games.
Of all the tools, I'm mostly excited for the torch.
Assassins focus is like flash ,quicksilver type of thing 😁
Your eyes not wrong. It was said that this man Basim Ibn Ishaq of Iraq is so fast having a speed at roughly 8.3 million mph (13.5 million km/h ) or Mach 10,925 when he using his Hasyasyiun Focus.
Hexe when? Splinter Cell when? I demand the return of Sam Fisher.
Masterpiece!!! Can’t wait to play ❤
Tool upgrades that allow you to tailor tools to your playstyle is a good choice. Thanks Ubisoft
I get some folks don’t like the chain assassin move because it looks like Basim is teleporting, but when you think about it, a skilled assassin’s moments could be so quick and precise that the human eye couldn’t process it as “Human” a *Mirage* if you will.
yeah i think its pretty cool
Yeah because if ppl remember he's an reincarnation of an Isu
This is gonna be good. I’m playing in AC1 color mode
A PURE ASSASSIN'S CREED GAME WITH AN ACTUAL MEANING, LIKE OLD DAYS!
Don't be fooled, this ain't it
@@fiel81it is tho
@@acfan2135 ubisoft's marketing is notoriously bullshit, just go back to valhalla's marketing and you'll see what I mean
It's like Origins without free roam. Hope you all will be happy now.
@@sinko9331 Origins is good. It's one of the best games in the series. It's far better than the other two.
Waiting for a sale for sure, haven’t been blown away by any gameplay I’ve seen for mirage unfortunately which is a shame as I am a big AC fan
This all i wanted. A way to play. Like an assassin's
I hope this game has unity like multiplayer
it dose nor have multiplayer
@@sayyadahmed9452 why? People liked Unity. It was just slightly ahead of it's time
Multiplayer really didn't succeed because of the bad launch that's why they ripped the idea would have been cool.@@Hybred
This is so awesome! Being able to teleport and switch to bird is really what brings this game back to its roots!
Mate , tell me how the disguise in ac unity , or the eagle vision back in ac2 which is was actually a birthright was an normal ability. I wait
Looks very promising! The only thing I'm dissapointdd in is the parkour, but Baghdads good parkour structures make up for it a bit
Well they used the same engine which was used to make Valhalla and Odyssey. But the parkour in this game would be far better than those games at least...
@@ANI_Editz612there's just something about this engine that i hate but the game looks fun so idc
@@ANI_Editz612 I know but I still expected atleast a bit more. Atleast side hops like in the first AC games, that alone would make the parkour much better
Gets caught by being spotted through a wall:
"Oh boy, here I go killing again"
I can't wait to get my hands on this game
This is truly looking promising I have not bought an ax game since unity
The minute it went rpg I truly abandoned the series
This is gonna make me go back
Good job ubi
The assassins focus in close quarters looks and feels more logical. Can’t wait to play this game.
Can't wait! ❤
It’s alright man, it’s not a core mechanic…just don’t use it~
You still need to make stealth assassinations to get it, I don’t like that it’s here, but atleast it encourages stealth, while also being totally skippable
I’m stoked to play this game on my channel!
3:27 They could have made this like 'FEAR' in Batman Arkham Knight, but of course they made him have teleportation superpowers instead
Bro. He can even do it in the air. He can change directions instantly, which is, of course, completely impossible IRL.
Totally agreed with you.Or doing takedown like ghost of tsushima but no ubisoft said we are going back to our root by introducing teleport superpower😂
They have changed the animation to make it seem more like an Animus hack/glitch. It looks different now compared to when they first introduced it. I'll give Ubisoft credit where credit is due. They listened to the complaints...
Bro fr i like the way you think. Giving assassins a fear ability.
@@stateyournameplease Yes! I'm glad they changed it.
6:26 omg, bench assassination back! All stealth stuff looks great. That's the reason I gonna play
Old AC fans gonna have one hell of a time enjoying mirage, myself included.
Mmm not sure about that

No more RPG, no more enemy levels.
What you’re not sure about ?

Chill out, we haven't play the game yet
If I say honestly best part of assassin's Creed always only the start of the game.
The only thing that still bugs me about this game is how weird the combat looks. It's still like origins and Valhalla. I like the old combat better, like in unity
It was better in old games, but no, Ubisoft continue to make bad combat
@@Arycuak you like pressing a button and having the game doing all of the work for you?
@@shalomproduction6367That's not how Unity combat worked
I agree but since combat isn’t a focus, it’s not bothering me too much. I doubt I’m going to be getting into it much aside from the mercenary you fight at max notoriety and potential story-scripted combat settings
@@obsidianwarrior5580 you're right unity was worse

The graphics and the setting of the game looks really cool.👌👌
Finally a real AC game after a long long time...
This game looks pretty
ubisoft has my trust again, thanks for this

@@mr.kwamid-86_43 no need to my guy this is assassins creed you can clearly see that
Please remove the chain assassination teleport ability.
Nobody asked for that we want historical focused AC
Assassin's creed was never realistic OR historicaly accurate
Where the apple of Eden or Isu artifact historically accurate🤔 assassin's Creed was never realistically accurate
i'm ready for history lesson in Baghdad
This is a nice video because I am not in the loop or too experienced with AC since I've played a long time ago. Can't wait to try out the stealth and parkour when it releases.
Assassination is varied, parkour is simple compared especially with Unity or even Black Flag
Finally we have confirmation of mid-air assassin focus! Now I may actually use the ability for movement depth.
@@Rondog. yeah, that I can actually agree with. The main plot in Valhalla left off somewhere cool and the prospect of having Basim be the new protagonist of the series seems great.
