You are a lucky man. I lost my mom many years ago very suddenly when I was 24. She never knew her grandkids. I would give anything to see my mom in the kitchen with my girls all together. I envy anyone who still has their mother.

His mum is amazing! I started cooking when I was 9 due to my mom falling extremely sick so I started taking the responsibility in the kitchen on my own, then I had to take on more responsibilities when I ended up with 4 younger siblings and my mom getting even more sick as well as mental and emotional and behavior conditions. I’m now 28 and I absolutely loves cooking and baking! At first it was a chore and task but overtime I turned it into my own little “escape” from everything I was facing at home. It’s definitely a passion of mine!

I have a father that was a 2 Michelin star chef.
The problem was that for him, cooking was not a passion.
He saw it as a job that gave him money he never had to spend on his family.
At 6 years old i was already cooking. I love cooking, i love seeing people enjoying my food and to this day i don't understand why he would become a chef just for the sake of money.
He hates cooking and when he does cook. It's always lacking something vital to it.
To me a dish's taste reflects your mood the moment you start cooking it. It's why i always smile when i cook and keep a good attitude.
Seeing what my father became after he gave up cooking made me give up on my dreams of becoming a cook. I cook as an hobby now, i cook to calm me down and to see people's faces light up everytime they taste my dishes.
That's what food should be. Taste. A belly full and a smile on your face.

I will treat you with the moral which our great religion urges, believe me, I wish you well.🌹
Believe me, Islam is the religion of truth.
I love for philanthropists as much as I love for myself, just find yourself the religion of Islam and you will see that the Koran is full of science that is being discovered now and that this Quran was revealed to our prophet Muhammad 1,400 years ago! Could Muhammad have known all this science in a time like his in which there are no devices or anything, other than this our religion is not what is shown in the media, the religion of Islam is a complete religion, a great and logical religion, I swear it is the truth, just look for yourself, my generous brother.

Hi this is Sue, l make ox-tail stew, very simple, coarsely chop onions, carrots, potatoes add to roasting pan, put ox-tails in, add a 28 oz diced tomatoes (or a quart of homemade tomatoes) 6 tablespoons of homemade onion soup mix (or 2 packs of store bought) and a cup of water, and pepper, no salt since homemade onion soup mix has it in it. Put in oven for at least 6 hours at 300F, low and slow. PS freezes well too. But like your mom said, l would have never thought of adding fennel to it, l will definitly be trying it the next time l make this. After saying that the sad part about this is alot of people don't even no how they like, as soon as someone say ox-tails, they turn there noses up not realizing that is just a rich roast beef

    The One Pot Cooking ...
flavorful with the spices ...A similar dish which I learnt decades back in my Dietetics was a nutritious dish called 'Pish Pash' cooked in little oil with bayleaf and cinnamon stick with some chopped ginger and onions ,vegetables ,chicken pieces stirred until the glaze appears and the raw flavor is not there ,then prewashed rice is added and water is added enough to cover and cook the chicken .Butter is added before serving but is optional ...

Try browning the ox tails then putting them in an oven dish, sliced onion included, under and on top of the ox tail, add some water to the dish(just enough to cover over the bottom of the tails), and cover with foil and bake at 350 for 1:15-1:30. Best way i think to cook ox tails!

I was making a recipe like the sausage rice one a couple times now. I had never thought to remove the sausage casings. I also had questions about the order of onions/peppers/sausage etc. I'll also use that tip about cranking the heat.
Thanks! It's with a mango habanero sausage btw :) I also do carrots and celery like a soup. Trying to experiment with a chicken broth sauce or something to deglaze the pan

Here in the Philippines, Saffron is called "Kasuba" and usually mixed in Porridge to make a nice rich color. A 25grams of Saffron is just $0.97 😊

Kasuba is different from Saffron. It just gives food color not flavor.

Shout out to all the mums out there! They learned to cook not by watching UA-cam videos like us, but by asking their family members, writing down notes, memorizing, making mistakes, and in some patriarchal societies also by being made to feel bad about their mistakes. Never take the for granted

I cooked the italian sausage dish last year for my parents. As they are old and white I used mild italian. It was freaking delicious. Mom found it a bit to spicy, but hey, more for me! One of my favorites! I want to do it again, but need to get a better pan.
