This man's Brinks security system allowed him to see other customers' private data for months

  • An Edmonton man was surprised to find he could see the private information of other Brinks home security customers through the company's system in his house. He was even more surprised it took Brinks months to fix the problem, after he repeatedly alerted them.

    There certainly needs to be a formal investigation into this, with the Canadian public being made aware of any and all findings, recommendations and remedial damage control, as well as everyone of those customer's whose data was visible to this client, ought to receive free *lifetime* credit support. This is outrageous that data and security companies still don't get it; #personaldata *MUST* be protected, and fines should be incredible high to avoid future mishandling and non-reporting!
