Small correction, the Switch is in its 8th year right now, which is wild. Before anyone jumps down my throat, March 2017-March 2018 is Switch's 1st year, not its 0th. Duh. This direct blew my expectations out of the water. So hyped for Zelda and MP4.
100% This is not the last "Switch 1" Direct. The September Direct will focus on more info about the 1st party holiday games and reveal more early 2025 1st party games
Actually, Phantom Brave was a PS2 game originally. Nippon Ichi Software made Phantom Brave right after Disgaea 1(Disgaea now having 8 installments of its own and NIS made many other games in between those), it’s over 20 years old now. The Phantom Brave sequel is actually an insane announcement. I hope for a La Pucelle sequel finally(La Pucelle is the game NIS made before Disgaea).
The Capcom well runs quite deep, if they want to keep going there is a lot of collections they can still do Rival Schools + Project Justice Street Fighter EX Sengoku Basara Dead Rising Strider Megaman Legends + Misadventures of Tronne Bonne Viewtiful Joe Ghosts 'n Goblins Onimusha Power Stone Capcom vs SNK and SVC Chaos (which I think is likely next considering the next SF6 season) MvC2 is super exciting not just because it's finally being officially released again but it's also the first Capcom fighter with 3D graphics in a very long time to get some form of remaster/rerelease (The backgrounds are in full 3D). Which potentially opens the door for other 3D games that run on Naomi hardware like the aforementioned Powerstone, CvS2 and Project Justice
Looks like they are going to do the same thing with Metroid Prime 2 + 3 as they did with Pikmin 1 + 2: low key shadow drop as digital release one month before the newer game releases. That way they avoid burning out casual players, while still selling the old classics to the long term fans who know what they are getting into.
The confusion caused by Switch Sports (which is kinda funny to see) both selling well and getting continued support is resolved even when you only consider the expanded audience that Nintendo are appealing to at this time. I’ll wager that this game hasn’t seen its last sport yet.
I really hope they release Prime 2 and 3 at some point before 4, with it being a 2025 release I think they will likely do it at the next showcase. Also dang 2025 is going to be huge for gaming. DOOM, GTA 6, Monster Hunter Wilds, now Prime 4, and we still don’t know much about PlayStation or the Switch 2. Gotta stop adding games to my backlog lol
The highlight for me was easily Prime 4. Finally seeing the gameplay and how good it looked is insane. This is definitely cross gen, imagine how good it’ll look on switch 2. Also I think this game will finally push Metroid into mainstream gaming, within 3 hours the trailer is already at 300K views
I am so frickin tired of the mario and zelda stuff. It feels so OVER SATURATED to the point were they feel less important and less interesting. This feeling ends up trickling down to MP4 and I was looking forward to it but when i saw it I couldn't care less. Lay off the mario and zelda a little bit. We don't need a mario or zelda every year. Give us other stuff like a NEW Star Fox, F Zero, an new donkey kong game, Kid Icarus, Golden Sun. Literally diversify it so the switch doesn't feel like a Mario Zelda system. Cause at this rate I might as well get a PC hand held instead of the switch 2. I've been playing more 3rd party games on my switch then 1st party nintendo games anyways.

Marvel vs Capcom arcade collection and Metroid Prime 4 😮
Marvel vs Capcom is just a rerelease it's not that interesting
100% This is not the last "Switch 1" Direct. The September Direct will focus on more info about the 1st party holiday games and reveal more early 2025 1st party games
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES
Nintendo Switch 1 Metroid Prime 4 Beyond 2025 🤩🤩🤩😁😁😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Windwaker plz
June direct in 2024 to be better than last year’s.
Wait a nurture, we’re gonna have the even worst September direct coming up?
Woo woo woo tales of the shire, is a must!
Its crazy how many mario rpgs we've been getting.
That was a Awesome Direct
Cannot stop thinking about this direct 😮
Link’s awakening remastered was my first Zelda game so I happy to see they keep the style for the new game.❤

Got my zelda prediction in a way lmao
Highlight for me was Mario and Luigi LOZ: Echoes of Wisdom. Now let's not pretend they won't be a September direct cuz u know they will lol
The Capcom well runs quite deep, if they want to keep going there is a lot of collections they can still do
Rival Schools + Project Justice
Street Fighter EX
Sengoku Basara
Dead Rising
Strider
Megaman Legends + Misadventures of Tronne Bonne
Viewtiful Joe
Ghosts 'n Goblins
Onimusha
Power Stone
Capcom vs SNK and SVC Chaos (which I think is likely next considering the next SF6 season)
MvC2 is super exciting not just because it's finally being officially released again but it's also the first Capcom fighter with 3D graphics in a very long time to get some form of remaster/rerelease (The backgrounds are in full 3D). It’s about time we see prime 4

15:50 There's also no first party August release
I believe throughout the entire Switch life cycle, Nintendo has only released a 1st party game in August once. That was Astral Chain.
Marvel Vs Capcom was everything for me lol I love the first one!
The confusion caused by Switch Sports (which is kinda funny to see) both selling well and getting continued support is resolved even when you only consider the expanded audience that Nintendo are appealing to at this time. I’ll wager that this game hasn’t seen its last sport yet.
Nintendo carried it away! I never played the Mario and Luigi Series ever but the new game has an awesome art style but man I can't wait to pick it up!
Prime 4 is going to be good!
Play Prime 2 and 3 brooo!!! 🔥👌🏽
metroid!
I want the remasters of the 2nd and 3rd one :3

NO Switch 2 👎🏻
SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI SI
Nintendo Switch 1 Metroid Prime 4 Beyond 2025 🤩🤩🤩😁😁😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
NO Gta 6
I wouldn't consider it a 2d Zelda
Imo... they should have released mother 3 with a new art style and english
Why is turrock rated 17 plus? They are dinosaurs.... and you shoot dinosaurs in jurrasic world i think?
Metroid Prime will win game of the year
Oh my God you should've seen the chat dude, people were crying and whining like a bunch of babies because they didnt get Tomodachi Life 2
I wish it would’ve happened, but I can wait. Let em cook
@@BoTalksGames HOnestly, I keep telling people this all the time, stop spamming Nintendo and maybe you will get Tomodachi life 2
I just think it’s funny that the switch is outlasted the PS4 and Xbox one they only made it seven years and the switch is gonna make it eight
Mario: new game
Zelda: new game
Metroid: new game
DK: heres a remaster of an average game that you already have two cheap ways to play
🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Classic
F-Zero: nothing whatsoever 😖
DK country returns is amazing that being said I don't find HD ports exciting in the slightest if I wanna play an older game in HD imma just emulate
