Thank you Christelle. Trust me, I am not happy all the time (just ask my partner Petey Ha ha) but am happy when I am doing a thrift haul and I do try to stay positive and grateful as much as I can.
Your reward for all the shopping is you get to keep some nice items for yourself . I have been selling for 5 years and I would sell things that I found that I would have loved to keep for myself and sell it because it was a good brand that would command a high price . I have a closet packed full of so so clothes . I made up my mind that I am cleaning out half my closet and adding nice pieces to my wardrobe .
That sounds like a good plan. You deserve nice clothes in you own closet too. I love my closet and I definitely keep things for myself. I just can't keep everything, ha! I rotate my closet often. I will wear something a few times and then sell it. It is a perk of this business. xo Q
I do/did the same. I said why do I feel guilty when I keep things for myself?! I’m done with that. My happiness and my need for a functional wardrobe are just as important as everyone else’s! clean out what you don’t touch and then replace with solid high quality basics and the few shiny special gems!!

wow.....Northern Calif sure have some decent finds at the bins!!!..i live in Tasmania Au and unfortunately we have nothing like you guys.....no Goodwill...no Bins.....we have expensive thrift stores (op Shops).....so its a tough slog trying to sell for a living.....i sell stuff on ebay and my store is Bevie's bits and pieces.......all sorts.....i get from auctions and op shops mainly and the occasional tip shop......get it where we can.....i do have a lot of stuff hanging around.....trying to clear my house of so much!....i enjoy your posts and i shall get into that pretty soon.....veering towards jewellery....haha not so space consuming!.....keep up the good work and i LOVE the stuff you have for sale......might have to lash out soon. cheers B

However, at least it’s not $3.49/lb. You should drive down for a beach weekend in Santa Cruz and spend a day at the bins down here 😀
Is the Santa Cruz bins still open? We had planned on a trip to SC this year sort of a thrifting road trip, but it was closed. I lived in SC and did my undergraduate at UCSC. Yes 2.99 is expensive! xo Q
The Santa Cruz bins are closed, but the GW Outlet Central Coast is a brand new facility in Salinas, CA. A quick drive from SC while the fam are at the Boardwalk!

Very nice haul. Also, I have noticed that the Goodwill bin store is so quiet, compare to ours. Ours is so packed, mostly with regular males. They are fast and kind of spooky ))
Yes I get it. I have been to those kinds of bins. Mine was like that in the past, but then it closed for 3 years and they totally cleaned it up and now it's pretty chill. When a new bin comes out, people still rush to it, but otherwise it's pretty quiet. I am so grateful, I know bins can be rough xo Q

I don't know about Posh shows. I did whatnot shows for a few months and had so much fun, it was a lot of work, so It had to be $$ worth it, and it was in the beginning but then died down. I don't think posh sales are effecting my sales one bit. I made more this year on Posh than ever before but only about 25% of my sales come from Posh because I focus on ebay. This year in 2024 I am going to focus more on Posh and see if I can bring up my sales. Long answer, I know. So glad you go home to a peaceful house. That is extremely important to me too. No drama or chaos allowed in my personal space. xo Quenby

That was a busy day at the bins? We have about 10-20 people digging through each bin. To say it's competitive is an understatement!
Great idea about picking up random tie belts! I'm going to start doing that! At the bins, I keep an eye out for loose, high quality leather clip on purse straps of any length. Sometimes I'll rescue them off a trashed leather handbag when the removable strap is in good condition. I only pick up handbags when they'll bring in the neighborhood of $100 or more so when I find a great bag without a strap, it's nice to have a quality replacement on hand to attach. All disclosed, of course. Thank you for another fun Sunday video. Today I have to push myself to work on steaming, processing and listing a rack of odd, bulky items like mens suit jackets and very wrinkled, delicate maxi dresses. I agree with you. All the extra measurements and work on items like that is a pain in the neck but I enjoy the higher profit when they sell! LOL! Enjoy your Sunday! Thanks again!
I love this so much, because you learned from me about dress belts and I just learned from YOU about handbag straps. UA-cam is the best. Thank you. My bins does not do shoes or bags anymore. I will sometimes find a bag in the hard goods section. I really like selling handbags but yes they are more work. I like to get $40 for a bag and I no longer pick up bags or shoes that need a ton of work. It would have to be pretty special. Thanks so much! xo Q
@@TheGratefulQueenOH! And FYI! On damaged name brand or high end bags, I also remove the logo or brand fobs to pick up. That way if I find, for example, a fabulous FOSSIL handbag without the FOSSIL KEY, I have some on hand to replace the missing one.

Hi there! I just found your channel and have to tell you how much I love it! You have great energy and I’m learning so much from you. Can I ask what are your guidelines for the expected profit an item should have for you to buy it? I mean, would you only pick up something if you can at least double your investment?
I'm so glad you found the channel WELCOME 🙏 🤗. I think it's a good idea to develop a business model and determine how much you want your items to sell for and try to stick to that. Since I shop at the bins, I want to pick up items that will sell for at least $15 with a $2 buy in cost. . Most people want more than that, and that is smart, but I can only thrift once a week so I have to pick up what I can. My average sale price on ebay is $29.

That is a good question. I am currently working on taxes (yikes, they are a book!) So I can tell you that 25% of my sales are Posh. So, if I made approx $50K reselling then 12K came from Posh. I want to increase Posh sales in 2024. Ebay has been my main platform.
