If you're having trouble taking off the rotor , use a rubber mallet and hit it like you hate it and it'll come off. I tried to do the bolt method he talked about but the bolts I bought didn't work like it did for him.
If you do have rust between your hub and the rotor, try putting a dab of anti-sieze inbetween each of the wheel studs, before putting the new rotor on. It will save you time and you wont have to use the bolts to pry the rotors off on the next replacement. Good video!
Great video! I have a question. When pushing the piston back in place with the tool, how much pressure do I use and how do I know it is back in correctly?
You’ll know instantly how much pressure you’ll need. You”ll feel and see the piston going back into the caliper. Once it’s flush in the hole and no long sticking out, it’s in.
I did pads and rotors today on my father's car. I noticed the new hardware came with 8 squealers. I only used 1 per pad though. Since that's how the old pads were. Curious though, do they want me to use all 8? Don't you technically not even need these?
I have a question, I just replaced the pads and rotors from a Toyota OE for a 2018 Camry. The brakes work great. One thing I’ve noticed, when I’m coming to a stop on a decline I hear a faint squeal from the front brakes. It doesn’t do it all the time, only some times but up or downhill. It’s very annoying. Nothing too loud, it just sounds like something dragging. What does anyone think it is?
Also, if you installed your new pads on top of the old glazed rotors, it may cause some noise. Its best to replace rotors or have them resurfaced if you can find a shop that offers that service.
pssh ,you got this in the bag. At 4'11 you can pump the jack two or three times And once your tires are 2cm off the ground, everything you need to work on will be at shoulder height and it's much easier to turn wrenches standing up straight 😂
Good luck!!! I'm about to replace my rotors and brake pads on my tacoma. First time ever doing it, good thing I will have someone watching me do it right, lol. I guess there's a first time for everything. If you're tire falls off, I guess you didn't do it right, but I think we all have to learn the hard way, at least in my opinion. 🫵👍

The tip on the rotor being stuck is awesome, toyota is bad ass for giving that as well

Thank you for this! I don’t see the torque specs in the description though. 😩
glad you mentioned saving the bolts. I normally just throw them away...
Next time give them to your momma and she'll make you some bolt soup from Africa!!
I don’t see Torque specs?
Moderate uggh
Great job. Thanks for the info.
What did you use to jack the car up on each side?
Best Toyota brake replacement video I have ever seen. Thank you so much
Dude, good video. Thanks 👍🏼
Yall dont have to deactive a system on these newer cars ?
Good job homie. I love the extra details/info even though u didn't need to.like on the rotor on how to remove.

thanks for the helpful video. but anything needs to be done by the break oil?

Excellent video. To the point, and very informative !
Did you put the caliper back with that booth like that wway? the piston wont bite the booth? im worried about it because im doing that right now
Thanks for the video and your clear-cut instructions. I appreciate it bro.

What was the size of the bolt you used to remove the caliper and where can I get it?

Could be the type of pad material... Ceramics are prone to me a little louder
Are they oem pads. Cause on the toyota website where you buy them it says that some pads can make more noise than others.
Also, if you installed your new pads on top of the old glazed rotors, it may cause some noise.
Its best to replace rotors or have them resurfaced if you can find a shop that offers that service.
Is this the same procedure for a 2019 Toyota Avalon
Not able to find the torque spec. of the rotor bracket and caliper pin bolt in here .....
May I ask why these were changed? How many miles and any squeals?
Im a girl 411 attempting to do my brakes cause i Refuse to pay 700😂🥲 wish me luck
Good LUCK YOU CAN DO IT👍

I do not see the torque Specs for Caliper pins and bracket bolts
Sorry but you said that in the description you were going to leave the pressure measurements of the screws (turquoise) but that was not the case
Sorry buddy. I will post them in the description, within a few days.
You should be a instructor. Very detailed without boring
Thanks buddy
Curious. Is the same for 2020 Camry Le???
@@bohannah5390 I don't know , to be honest
Is the same parts number for 2019 camry se ????
what is the torque?
Wheels 21mm = 76 lb ft
Caliper (Piston Housing) 14mm = 25 lb ft
Caliper (Carrier) 17mm = 79 lb ft

@@cupompa very much appreciated!!
The same torque I give your baby momma!! Roughly!!
Do you have video for rear brakes
Do I need to remove the brake fluid reservoir cap to allow for the brake fluid returning to the reservoir when compressing the brake piston?
Yes that's a good idea
Does the new rotor hang loose. Looks like yours is tight
Can we get those torque specs
Will this fit a 2018 xse?
Thank you so much! Saved me a ton
I see zero torque specs in the description.
That’s when you become your own torque wrench 😂👌 good luck don’t strip anything
