The half zip model only allows it or be partially unzipped. It you had the full zipper version it could be completely unzipped to give much better temp control. I know you say you’re running hot as a norm, but a big big difference in the jacket to be completely unzipped, compared to always being at least half way zipped up. I personally couldn’t wear a half zipped model and if I purchased one by mistake I’d probably give it away because I’d never wear it.

Nano puff 100%. Thermoball in my experience and for others I know offers much worse warmth. Nano puff is absolutely incredible. Consider the vest! I’ve been using it nearly every day for two years and I won’t ever get rid of it.
Depending on what you want to wear underneath it you may want to go up a size. I usually layer on top of this jacket if I need more, like with a light shell piece. I wear a small and the medium on me is just to baggy for my liking. Hope this helps🤙🏼

I am 5’10” and weigh about 155. I went for a small but if you have longer arms or torso do a medium.
