Yeah, could be good. Only thing is David Penn plays quite intricate jazzy keys. It's a big part of his sound. My playing and comprehension is a bit lacking for that.
Watched this video so i can have a reference on where to start for an afro house build up track, and first of all let me give you kudos for all of that top notch video edition, the transitions, the suprising text plus the quality of image/sound are tremendous, everything is in a pretty pro level, as a producer myself i can tell this track and video had been worked very professional, even though i am not paying the patrion right now (maybe in the future), i can think of how much good a quality information you give in there, definitely worth!
Delay is just an Ableton ping pong delay set to 3 (dotted 8th notes). U used the internal filter to cut out some highs and lows. The reverb is slate Digital Verb Suite Classics with a Preset called epic synth space.
Hey, you are an absolute legend my man! I've been buying and playing your stuff for 2 decades! I'll see if I can find you on Instagram and send it over.
NIce Track! Thanks for the insights and for the Deep Look inside the process. In addition i would like to know where to get this vocal samples :) Thank you!
Hey mate, glad you like the video. I mentioned it in the video, but it's an acapella from a track by Foremost Poets. If you search on my channel you will find a video about where you can find videos for your tracks.
I would assume the Orin's are in Africa. South Africa in particular has a rich history of house music. But currently I would say Afro House is a pretty global sound with artists all over the world playing and creating it.
you absolutely do not understand the styles of music. in almost every video you have lies about style. in this as well. this is not afro house. you should be ashamed of the deceit. here they mixed everything at once. you may understand programs, but not styles.
😂😂😂😂 Busted, you got me mate. I am so ashamed. 😂😂😂😂 Maybe you can drop a link to your video explaining "real" Afro House so I can educate myself on the subject... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Impressive video man
Thanks bro 👊
4:16 had me thinking I’d drunk too much beer 🍻. Echo’y overdubbed goodness 😏
This is nuts!!!!!
RELEASE THIS PLEASE!!!
This was really really really good. Of all Afro tutorials I’ve found, this is my favorite. Thanks for sharing these creative strategies dude!
Dilby never fails to deliver. Legend
That kind of filtered bass reminds me the bass sound of "Miura" by Metro Area 👌🏽
Fantastic again Dilby, your production is absolutely top notch mate
A David Penn style tutorial would be very cool
