DVRs are meant for AHD cameras and IP cameras use NVR. DVRs come with BNC connectors through which the cameras are connected.
In the case of IP cameras, they are connected using network cables with RJ-45 plugs at the end of the cables

As you mentioned, Nas Clouds are the easiest and cheapest option to use. You can also buy space on a cloud storage provided by a third party which comes at a cost.
