Ah this was perfectly timed! I just this weekend booked in two days (10hr full first day sitting + 5hrs second day) with Dolly from Black Sails for Cardiff Con in July and I'm so excited! I'm finishing up my patchwork kawaii/anime sleeve in one big push (and maybe squeezing in a leg piece) and it's going to be painful and intense but awesome! I've been looking for vlogs that show the atmosphere of cons so this was perfect, thanks ^_^ Only thing I'm a little concerned about is that I'm a crazy bad twitcher when being tattooed - I just can't control it at all haha so it's going to be pretty embarrassing with all those people walking by and watching ahhhh! Any advice for playing that off and looking cool under all that pressure?! :P
I have an elephant mandala type of tattoo that I got 2/3 years ago. It has a lot of small intricate lines/details. Ive noticed that it hasn’t necessarily blown out but in some areas it kind of looks like how when you draw a sharpie on your skin and it spreads. When I first got the tattoo the lines were small but now they’re thicker and after almost 3 years its still raised quite a bit. Why? I have another tattoo on my shoulder of a rose and that one is fine.
FreshmansDub16 sounds like your artist went too deep in places. I have one which is still a bit raised and it turns out the needle went in a little too far and it caused slight scarring.
I'd like to try going at least to the local one(in Vancouver, BC) in about a month to check it out. It seems like it's interesting and fun. Even if I don't get a tattoo, I love looking at the artwork.

I know I’m not holly but where I am it’s charged the same if you have it fully drawn or if the tattoo artist draws it. Not sure if every place is the same though but I would assume so
