Say what you want about the initial product, but SFV ended up being an excellent fighting game by the end. By the end they had a full cast of unique and option-rich characters who were fully featured even without vtrigger and I'll always love it for that. Consistently amazing tournament moments as well.

Could never get into SF5 after playing it at the start. It was better at the end but I still think stuff like balence was pretty wack. Glad 6 hasn't followed the same route
Also, The best thing we can hope for about SF6 and T8 is that they will eventually morph into something as great as their previous games did over time, just like how SF5 and T7 did. SF5 is a fcking fantastic game, I really hope the devs put in the work to get the games in a fun state.
I was pretty casual, hard stuck in silver/gold mostly, and I enjoyed SFV. edit: If by casual you mean only plays single player and never touches ranked, then I have no idea.

Assuming that your matches take 60s each 100000 matches is roughly 69.4 full days of time not a lot when you think about it but time well spent
