( I also tell you what happened to me last week! ) I share with you my very favorite makeup at the drugstore and a lot is new! I take you through what I use and why...and I also take you to the zoo where we meet a stranger with his little girl...and we chat about our Margaret.... she belongs to this channel with us and she wanted to let me know she is " free" and I tell her story and I am so happy for her! Hi Susan, I'm a long time follower. Glad your feeling better, missed you last week. I'm 68 and can relate to the lady who started over. My 2nd marriage was with a controlling narcissist. It took a lot to start over 3 years ago. I thought I meet the love of my life, it was hell. I'd cry myself to sleep many night's. I had no money, no car and scared to start over. Well I kicked him out 3 yrs ago with no clue how I'd survive. Now 3 yrs later, I'm free! I wake up with a smile. I figured it out, it's never to late. Btw my nick name is Lucy , my friends and family have called me that for years, lol. My real name is Susan.. hope your having a beautiful weekend.. hugs
OH Lucy ( may I call you that?) your story sounds a bit like mine! It was the perfect storm and after years of prosperity, I lost everything...and you feel like this is it....the tears come and then out of nowhere....wow....life starts getting really good...do you think that perhaps it's ina woman's DNA to just survive and persevere? Sometimes I feel that I had a lot of help regaining my life...wait, no I didn't regain my life....I had a brand new life and I too wake up with a smile and a sense of adventure! I loved reading your words and I want to say congratulations for your courage....it's so hard to stay in an absuise relationship but it's even harder to leave....true grit you had. @@LittlePoet lol, of course you can call me Lucy! I have learned to love that about myself. I get up in middle of night and walk into a wall, and I start to laugh. Or I'm on my phone talking to my son and say " I can't find my phone" LOL .. Life is all about learning new things about yourself, and at 68 I'm still trying to figure it out. I'll never stop laughing at myself! I have days I feel lonely, as we all do, but one can feel lonelier when your with the wrong person. I do as you do so well, I get up and try and find a reason to smile. Your a joy to watch and you lift us all up, thanks for being you!! ❤️

I'm 59yrs FABULOUS, divorced for 🤔...32 yrs and never remarried. And I love my freedom 🥰. Yeah, sometimes I miss having a "significant" other, but then I wouldn't be able to have the absolute pleasure of being free to be just ME( with all my "quirky" loves and interests 🤪). I LOVE your Dezi, I've been a Veterinary Nurse for 21yrs, and it's been such an amazing honor to work with fur babies, fur-baby parents and the other AWESOME people who dedicate their lives to taking care of "those who have no voice in this world".

Dearest Susan and Desi.. Way back when I was a small girl, the beauty advisors at the cosmetic counters fascinated me. Such glamour and poise. I wanted to be just like them and one day decades later I was a makeup artist for Estee Lauder and Clinique! My mother was a professional dancer which gave me the vantage point of being backstage and mesmerized watching her apply her makeup. ! Thanks for the best walk down memory lane on my 69th birthday ! HI Susan! Thank you for the wonderful video of how you do your make up from start to finish. I wrote it all down and as I can I am going to get it all! Shes 63, hard working and when she had breast cancer, her partner of 30 years went off with her best friend. She holds alot of anger but lost everything, big house, furniture etc and started over. 15 years on and shes doing good. Just moved to a new 2 bed house with a garden as she didnt have one for 15 years in her flat. Shes happy now xx

I just found your channel last night. I found you just when I really needed to. My husband was also in Vietnam. He turned 70 this past year and this year has been very hard. He's gone through chemotherapy for lymphoma that he got from agent Orange in Vietnam. After chemo he had a stroke and now we just found out that his cancer is back. All this in a year. Yesterday I dropped him off at the hospital for an intense 4 day in hospital chemo...and this is only the beginning. I came home and had a big cry. When I found your channel it made me feel better, so thank you. In the past few years I have totally given up on my skin and skincare. Have you done a beginning to end skincare and makeup routine. I know you've mentioned products but could you actually do it in front of the camera. Thank you for being you. I am facing being by myself at 68 and I feel like I've found a friend.

Thank the Lord that the lady who wrote you about leaving that awful relationship was able to get out of it, even if late in life. As you say, it's never to late! I have been blessed with a wonderful husband for almost 52 years. I was only 17 when we were married and we have two daughters who are great ladies now and we could not be prouder of them! I praise and thank the Lord every day for all three of them! Love for your and Dez.
