I get the feeling a few of his little vocal runs were to prove he wasn't lip syncing. I know in the later years he'd had accusations he couldn't be still singing like that and was either lip syncing or letting the backup singers take the lead. But damn he still has it

In last few years with the summer festivals John has laid off few higher range songs like Help . John is known for forgetting he’s lyrics so he has lyrics on the TV monitor on the stage . He calls it his Frank Sinatra because Frank Sinatra did use one all the time . He doesn’t wonder around the stage as much as did just incase he does forget .
John is also has a little bit of deafness as well in his older years .

John is an example of how we should live our lives. Do something you love, work hard but honour you family and friends first and success later. If I was half the man John Farnham is I’d be very happy!
Nick, if you see this, I really encourage you to go to your friends funeral. It will be so so hard, but as someone who has been through a lot of grief, there is something very powerful about honouring the life of our loved ones publicly and comforting others. His voice is amazing, to think he was born in 1949 and I saw him in concert a few years back in 2019 when he was 70 and he still sounds the same with just as much charisma and vocal strength as when he was in his 30’s. It was such an awesome concert, one to go on my bucket list.

He's lucky he was a heavy smoker, stopped for a few years and then started smoking cigars. Had cancer of the mouth and is recovering cancer free today.

He said recently he'd been smoking cigars and inhaling them, getting a bit addicted. .. his doctor found something that scared him so he stopped right there and then.

I remember the first time I saw your first reaction to John I was crying with joy....Yes Nick your 'get' him...as to him looking after his voice...well I can only say the God must have blessed him with golden tonsils lol as he was a pack a day smoker and later cigar smoker...never had a singing lesson just born to perform and bring joy to us all. Another stunning reaction my friend...

Just imagine what his voice would be like if he hadn't been a heavy smoker. I heard him in an interview once that he started smoking at 14 and smoked 60 a day until he gave up in his 40's. Lasted 10 or 12 years, and I reckon his voice was at its absolute best during that time till some one gave him a box of cigars as a present, and has been smoking them again ever since... fortunately he recently gave up again. I hope that person stays away from him now that he has given up again.
