I think it’s too long as the wall curves there. And it wouldn’t be weather protected. I’m considering painting it in out door paint and having it around by the green house.

It’s truly awful what is going on in the Middle East. From the horrors that happened in Israel to their response. If only the leaders of Iran cared about their people as much as we do.

Looking forward to the gravel garden 😍 Those ferns were eyewatering! On the moth front, it's unlikely you'd see the moths whose larvae eat your jumpers, they rarely venture into the light and are only 5mm long. Most of the little ones you see, with the white head are pantry moths 😁
I still have quite a way to go before the gravel garden is presentable. I wish there were more than one of me!
I have a robot vacuum. And they are really not that good. Maybe it will be different for you. Love your home and gardens. Let me say that I am 76 and not able to do all those crazy kid things due to a hip replacement gone bad. Sometimes we want to do kid things but our bodies are no longer able to 😢
Very true so I’m doing it while I can though the ability is wearing off! I’m not expecting miracles from this little robot, just a little help where I need it. 🤞

I love my robo vac - I have it set up on a schedule and let it do its thing. I do ask my husband to empty it and clean it as necessary. I especially love that it fits under beds and couches - no more shoving furniture around to vacuum the dust bunnies.
What is happening in Gaza and Ukraine breaks my heart. It's so brutal. I sound a little sophomoric, but I just want a world with more empathy, more recognition of the rights of all humans, and less selfish rage. It really doesn't take much effort to be kind.

Well done on your donation, it's a hideous situation, distressing to see more and more horror every day, but thats nothing compared to the living hell for people on the ground. So wish I lived nearby. Wild ferns grow in the hundreds in my garden I would happily share some. I adore them

Yes to skipping, running, dancing etc...I still do all of that. I did a very fast walk up steep hills last week, my calf muscles were sore for 5 days, I was hobbling when first out of bed xx

The whole situation is appalling and I don’t begin to understand everything that’s going on bit we have to help where we can one way or another.
Your use it or lose it comment resonated with me. It is something my mother always said. I am 55 and on Tuesday I am bathing with an elephant in Bali. The what if’s are creeping in atm. Have you thought about FB marketplace for your ferns? Someone might be dividing theirs up.

Well you are my girl crush and I wish we were neighbours and could swap plant seeds, moan about weeding and show off our new knitting projects. My two best friends are on the Wirral and in Lichfield so miles away.

When you need new plants ask friends and neighbors,they probably need to divide or get rid of overgrown plants. You'd be helping them and know they grow well in your area,and save$$😊
I’m often swapping plants with two of my neighbours. It’s great! But weirdly what works for us all is totally different. I can’t grow courgettes very well and they struggle with stipa for example.
I would have like to see you do some cartwheels. Why doesn't Margo go on walks with you and Bunny?

It was you or that moth. You did the right thing. Your little tidy made such a difference! Sometimes we forget how much good these little jobs do and often they take much less time than we think they will which balances quite nicely with the jobs that take much longer (all of the garden jobs)! Ok, I'm off to clean the inside of as many of my windows as I can get to before the man comes to do the outside and then a big afternoon of gardening ahead of me I think! I'd much prefer to the bookstore and browse the afternoon away but there we have it. 😘
I really need to do my inside windows too. Maybe I’ll pretend I am you and crack on with them. X

Couldn’t believe the prices on the large ferns! We bought a couple of small ones for a very shady corner spot a couple of years ago and they’ve grown nice and big so your smaller ones will definitely catch up! The Gaza situation is certainly a very hard watch on tv and so very upsetting. We should all try and do something, however small. Love WW xx

I have ferns all over my garden, Gayna. They just spread themselves around and come back every year. I love them, in amongst the flowers.
