Gayna, I love watching you cook. It all looked delicious. I love the relationship you and your parents have. I don’t know any other divorced couples that get along so well. ❤
Your dads garden is going to look so lovely when it all fills out...your mum and dad together are funny.....if only all divorced/separated couples could work towards this x
Blimey Gayna you were a whirling Durbisher ! You crammed a lot in, I feel very bone idle now 😂 Always nice to see you Mum & Dad I bet he was pleased as punch with his garden makeover 🏡. I must admit Bill looks proper handsome with less beard 🧔♂️ Wilf has such a cute 😊 I have not been to Bath in some time, have fun on your jolly girls outing 😁 love & Hugs Suze. 🤗😘 xxx
Omg Gayna your energy and ability to fit in so much and still cook bread and meals amazes me, I have to lie down in a darkened room amazes me😂 well done hope you have a lovely weekend away relax and enjoy xx
wonderfull as always Gayna I love that you now have your Grandads trowl you could have it engraved with his name and birth and death date so the boys will always know it is special so have something like Grandad Bill and his info . I love older special things like that . Hugs Beth
If you are still in Bath…..The Loft is fab for coffee. Corkage is a great restaurant if you can get in and you like small plates. Also Same same but different or Yak yeti yak. And if you want a fun end to the night try The Drawing Rooms for the Piano bar. Need to book. There is so much choice. Have a fab time.
I like to watch your vlog as I drink my morning coffee. Your good night is my good morning. It is Friday morning and I am just about to hang out my washing and go out into my garden and rake up leaves. Happy Friday from New Zealand.
Hi Gayna. We had the most amazing steak at The Herd in Bath. It's about 5 doors down from Pultney Bridge. And the Nata shop on the same street (other side of the bridge) was yummy
I'm curious; how do you store your starter in the winter? My kitchen apparently stays too cool, I have used the Foodbod recipe and just not much luck. Now that it is Summer I may give it another go.
what a busy day, sweet Jess is so lovely and your parents garden is lovely too, love the bread would love a wee slice your baking always makes me so hungry I look forward to your daily vlogs Thanks for sharing it all x x x
Lovely to see you all in your Dads garden. Jess looks so happy there. You certainly had a busy day. Can’t help you with Bath eateries these days I’m afraid although growing up, Bath was a regular day out shopping destination! Take care love WW xx
That is so strange. I am from Holland, but was wondering what your Dutch baby is. I have looked it up, and originally it comes from America. But I have found a recipe and will give it a try some day. 😊
What a wonderful day! Thanks for taking us along! Love how playful you and your parents are together! Those are the best times! All the gardening at home was great inspiration! We used to make "puffy pancake" (Dutch baby) for our son for breakfast before school. I started sneaking almond flour into it as he got older. We need to try a savory version sometime .... have you ever tried that? Hello to Bill!
❤❤you had a very productive day,,,,nice to see ur mum and dad again,,, 💓 Busy day,,, 🎉🎉 ELAINE 🏠🌻 The garden looks like a page from gardening magazine, too,,,,
Wow you’re observant! I have two holes in my right ear because I ripped my original one and it went off centre so I had another hole made. I keep a tiny sleeper in the original hole to stop it closing over so that’s always there even when I haven’t put any other earrings in.
Enjoyed seeing your Dad's garden. And then you came home to do some wonderful baking! What time does it get dark now in England? It looked quite bright when you said you were calling it a night.
For coffee etc try the Loft in Bartlett street, it is a combination of Cafe Lucca & Blue which is an independent fashion &homeware boutique - highly recommend 😃
Please pardon my curiosity but, what is the tall skinny door(s) next to your refrigerator? I’ve never noticed it before and I’m quite curious as to what you use it for. 🤔 I love re-using cereal bags, any bags really, as well. How lovely that you and your mum helped your dad with his garden. I would love to help my mom with hers more often but, I live almost 1,300 miles away from her🫤😅 so, I do what I can when I visit. I will envy your trip to Bath. Oh, I hope you have the best time!
Just discovered your terrific vlogs and am trying to catch up. I also have three sons who have now flown the nest and I miss the craziness. I am also an expat so I enjoy the englishness of your home and garden . Your lovely boys do you proud.
Sorry this is so late…I put rice in portion sizes in the freezer and then when I need it I microwave for 3 minutes until piping hot. However I don’t have a microwave now so I defrost and boil for a minute. Seems to be ok!
It depends what you're looking for, but we stumbled on Wild Cafe one day when we'd left home without having breakfast. It's on Queen St. If you're looking for a meal, maybe a cocktail or 2, Banana Tree is good independent French restaurant on George St, BA12EJ. As one review says, fon't be put off by the decor, the creme brulee is AMAZING! if you're going to Tarn Story on Walcot St, The Best of British Cafe, is tiny, but Steve lives their coffee! They usually have an amusing slogan on a blackboard encouraging you to 'eat more cake '! We haven't tried the cake, but it does look delightful (we are watching our figures! And are therefore a bit boring). Hope if you try any of the recommendations, that uou enjoy them. BTW, there us a Gin Shop just opposite Wild. Have a great time! xx
Always! You either have to have a lot of time or a lot of money to run this place and I always feel like I never have quite enough of either at the moment 😂😂😂
I just love when you share your cooking and baking !
And I had the back bedroom and then moved into your bedroom at the front, soooo many lovely memories in that cottage xx
Yes you did!

🤣 those mucky knees and toes look familiar! Get right in there, it’s the only way 👍🏻😁
You are such a busy bee. Your energy levels must be off the scale! Love watching these days of yours 😊
I rarely run out of energy. I get bored of the same old thing all the time but I have plenty of energy, I’m very fortunate. X
So great to see Jess❤️❤️. She is looking good! Even after being spayed. 🥰
Such a wonderful homemaker Gayna, always a pleasure to come along with you going about your day :)
Thanks so much 😊
Glad I’m not the only one that gets sidetracked and forgets that there’s loaf proving or in the oven baking.😂
Happens all the time!!

Thank you! I know The Loft and Same same. Like the look of yak yeti. Think we will try to go there tonight. X
Wow, what a brilliant busy day that was. I hate frogs as well. They are ugly and bonk all the time in the pond!!🤭🙈x
Isn't your dad LUCKY that you (& your mom!) are helping him with his garden.
Yes he is! Ha ha ha. And he knows and appreciates it, bless him.
@@talesfromcuckooland AND, he is adorable! I am 62 & single and your dad is A-dorable. I'm in the U.S., otherwise ... 😘

I need a week in Bath to try all the great recommendations!
Lovely to see your dad’s garden and you and your mum planting out for him. The quiche looked good too 😊
❤😊
The design you slash on your sourdough loaf looks so lovely when you take it out of the oven!
What a beautiful collie Jess is...good job with your Dad's garden ☘️🐦
I'm curious; how do you store your starter in the winter? My kitchen apparently stays too cool, I have used the Foodbod recipe and just not much luck. Now that it is Summer I may give it another go.
My starter always goes back in the fridge after I’ve used it. I bring it out, let it reach room temp then I feed it and start the cycle again x
That is a beautiful loaf of bread.😊
what a busy day, sweet Jess is so lovely and your parents garden is lovely too, love the bread would love a wee slice your baking always makes me so hungry I look forward to your daily vlogs Thanks for sharing it all x x x
I was yelling at you to set a timer on your phone for the bread. You are so brave! I’m constantly in awe of all that you do😘😘😘
Your Dad’s garden is going to be lovely!
I hope so!

I’ve heard it called lots of things. I wonder where the Dutch baby bit came from.
I’m in the US and love watching your vlogs❤.
Glad you like them! Thank you for watching x
I can relate to your dad being scared of frogs, they scare me , when they jump, i jump every time my daughters find it hilarious!

I don't prebake my quiche pastry and its always been ok, have a lovely time, haven't been to Bath for years so no recommendation here sorry xx 😂
Pop a hot sheet pan underneath and it’s fine!
Green Rocket cafe,
The green bird cafe.
Colonna and smalls for proper coffee.
Enjoy your day.
Thank you! I have made a note of them and will seek them out x
Hope you get a chance to visit the Yarn Story shop in Bath 😊
I will but I must not buy yarn!!!!
I think there’s a place in Bath called the Ivy, not sure if it is a restaurant or cafe.
Yes there is and I have been there. It’s lovely, I like it just as much as the Bristol one. X
the dutch baby I made on the weekend turned out the same! I wonder if air pressure or something effects it?
Maybe! Let’s hope our next ones behave. X
What a lovely day with your parents and I did giggle with the frog and your dad. Totally out of left field… Gayna have you lost and earring?
Wow you’re observant! I have two holes in my right ear because I ripped my original one and it went off centre so I had another hole made. I keep a tiny sleeper in the original hole to stop it closing over so that’s always there even when I haven’t put any other earrings in.
Sally Lunns. If you like the history of bath. Jane Austin used to frequent. Enjoy your trip to Bath. I used to work there and love it. x
Yes!!! Hoping to get a bun for lunch tomorrow. X
Enjoyed seeing your Dad's garden. And then you came home to do some wonderful baking! What time does it get dark now in England? It looked quite bright when you said you were calling it a night.
Sun set is around 9pm so it gets dark just after that. It’s not my favourite. X
@talesfromcuckooland , I don't care for late sunsets either. I live when it gets dark early @
Lovely video, now I am hungry for quiche, your looks delicious ❤
Beautiful plants, I've been doing some spring planting loving the nice weather hugs
What an amazingly full day. You are a wonder.
For coffee etc try the Loft in Bartlett street, it is a combination of Cafe Lucca & Blue which is an independent fashion &homeware boutique - highly recommend 😃
I like that place very much, I have been a couple of times with my friend Turnip 🥰
@@talesfromcuckooland Have a fabulous time in Bath x
❤
Have you tried a castor oil compress for your coccyx? xx
No, I haven’t heard of that. I’ll look into it. X

That’ll be a pullout larder unit. Great to have in weird spaces. 😁
That’s right! We do have some odd spaces on this house!
I’ll video it for you in a moment, Rhonda, you’ll see the footage tomorrow. Prepare to be underwhelmed!

Did you see that Miranda Mills is going to Bath as well?!? How fun if you two met up!!
This weekend? I’ll look out for her!
@@talesfromcuckooland I think so...she talked about it in her most recent video (but she may have pre-recorded?). Be sure to check out the bookshops!
That really looked like a very lovely day ❤️
Luca cafe, a great (French bakery) sandwich shop in the one of the lanes. Sorry can’t remember the others.
I’ll Google!
What a lovely day Gayna, 🥰
Try Chez Dominique - my sister and I had an amazing meal in there. Staff attentive but not in your face and food wonderful!
You didn't ask about book shops but Persephone bookshop is so lovely
Oh I have that as a place to stop by every time I go! Love being inside that space.
