I'm so happy you pointed out Perrin being the most relatable character. After I finished the DLC I said to friends that I wish she had been more of a focus instead. I found the dialogue in her side quest far more compelling than anything in the more pushed story. I agree that, narratively, this DLC was an improvement over the Isle of Armor's. But that isn't saying a lot since both end up feeling like a filler arc attached to games that have a ton of unanswered questions and could have better used the time. I found the siblings unpleasant by the end of it all, and I'm someone who went in with no expectation to take issue with them. The moment I stopped taking any of it seriously is when Kieran somehow convinced the entire village their traditions and beliefs of (at least) hundreds of years were all wrong in like, an hour. Off screen. Any built up tension was thrown to waste and made me feel like the whole narrative was made to waste my time. This DLC has also reaffirmed for me that I have no interest in Pokémon focusing on bigger worlds if they're going to make them empty and boring. There easily could have been way more variety and landmarks. Lastly, I think half of your video's length being excited over the new Pokémon and their battle focused changes is entirely understandable to be excited about. At the end of the day the core battling in these games can retain interest all on its own. It's harsh, but imo if they aren't going to give their all telling stories I'd prefer they stop trying to convince me to care about it and just let me focus on battling unhibited. And this is coming from someone who thinks Scarlet/Violet's endgame is one of the strongest in all of the series.
I think this DLC would have scored more if like you mentioned all the unanswered questions were at least mentioned and gave us a bit of lore going in. Otherwise yes I agree that the narrative just tends to be something entirely different that many may not feel to be needed. Was a fun side quest of events to do overall. Also huge agree with the open world part. Completely in line with everything said about it. They probably didn’t want switches to blow up if they crammed more things in. 😂 Thanks for watching!
Nice intro. I wasn’t really looking forward to this dlc but I do like how there are good Pokémon competitively. Blood moon Ursuluna looks really sick though.
People really take for granted how wonderful it is to get by menus faster. A game could be awesome but will be ruined if the processing speed is low enough. Great video dude!
some pokemon outclass others, not being able to catch pokemon exclusive to a new area without either paying for the DLC or owning another game in the series is pay2win even if you can figure out a strategy so that you dont have to pay @@BigNation1
