    It's an update to ebay offsite ads, plus more sales from the barn!

    It's amazing how Ebay now charge you for something business use to get for free
    they use to say that your listings were promoted through google as part of having a business seller account, now their latest money grab is pay for something you use to get and don't think we will notice
    great video as always

      Seems like it, plus what have item specifics been for, for all these years?

    I've never liked nor understood the promoted off site adds.
    My wife just googled a radio that we have for sale to get some info on it and our listing was the 2nd link.
    We still get some traffic and sales from off site without promoting.

      Yep, eBay have been busy convincing us for years that this is what item specifics were for.

    I also tried the offer with offsite ads, didn't get 1 sale from it and spent £25, load of nonsense... learnt my lesson switched it off and never again!

    I’ve put £100 daily spend, it rarely uses a fiver. So far £513 in sales, add fees £77.

      @@Married2Reselling 75% off offsite fees up to £200, is that the same as you?

      Yes same. Interesting on the £100 daily budget! Worth a go as it’s free, just got to make sure you check it daily just in case it spends out!

      @@Married2ResellingYe, I’ve done a few of these kind of offers and setting a low budget like £5 achieves nothing results wise. Try the high budget but check it closely and also end it before eBay say the budget has run out as it doesn’t update for 3/4 days.

      And by the way, I defo wouldn’t use the offsite ads if it’s all my own money lol

    How long do you normally let items sit before considering lowering the price. Some items I list have no views after a day so unsure if it's a wrong price point or just no demand.
    Love your videos 😀

    • @Married2Reselling
      @Married2Reselling  Місяць тому +1

      We used to wait around 1-2 months, it’s less now and we use sales/coupons more. If an item has been promoted and still have no views after a few days, we’d tend to lower the price earlier though, unless it was really rare or something

    Does it mean that every time you make a sale, or add items, the campaign needs to relearn what’s in your store?
    A successful eBay shop should always be evolving
    Will be interesting to see the results overall.

    In two weeks when it is finished with the 'learning process' what next if it doesn't learn enough is it the 'resit year', more like the 'gap year' the way things are going.

      That’s a sweeping generalisation you’ve made there. People do what they feel is right for their own businesses with regard to marketing. Regarding offsite ads, why wouldn’t we want to find out, and share the results with hundreds of people who may benefit from seeing? Even if it produces the results that it looks like it’s going to, we’ll still leave people to decide for themselves 🤷‍♂️

    • @daffyduk77
      @daffyduk77 Місяць тому

      I can see both sides of this, I think if it's only £25 a pop & you're a semi-volume seller it's possibly worth a try. When Promoted Standard 1st came out I was resistant for a long time but once I found other sellers were leapfrogging my sales, which had become sidelined, by accepting what is basically a fee-hike, there was no option but to follow suit. I'd certainly wait for someone on Ebay forums, people I know, or Married2Reselling etc to report on their experiences, as I'd regard those Ebay messages by themselves as on a par with scam emails. They seem to try to "pique someone's interest", get them to commit minimally/time & cost wise, then turn on the major "you need to throw all your $$$$ into this to really benefit" high pressure.
