I honestly love this song it has a somber tone with it probably of an era that has come to an end and the fact that Big Tom is my favourite Irish country singer and I must admit that Boxcar Brian puts it the best way vocally because truly Big Tom won't play here anymore since his passing.
annie... The song isnt about Big Tom, it's primarily about the demise of the Ballrooms that were once littered around Ireland and are now practically all gone, if not fully all gone :)
