What another lovely song about BIG TOM MCBRIDE. JR DALLAS IS A GREAT ENTERTAINER WITH A GREAT VOICE. COULD LISTEN TO HIM EVERY DAY OR NIGHT. WONDERFUL JR.THANK YOU. ELIZABETH PERTH SCOTLAND XXXXXXX ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Superb 5***** Brings back memories of some great times. So sad that so many of the ballrooms are now gone , The National Ballroom in Parnell Square was one of my favourite. Thanks for posting
This is a good one. In many ways, while Big Tom's name is mentioned in the chorus it is really a song about the demise of the ballrooms/dancehalls. The backing is really great. T.R Dallas, has the Big Tom organ sound spot on. The 60's and 70's in Ireland, must have been mighty times. there was certainly better talent around. It is sad, that there no venues these days. Everything has to happen in the pub.
Having never being to any of these dancehalls I feel we the younger generation have missed out - remember the excitement of my brothers and sisters getting ready to go but they were all gone by the time I was allowed.
Memories, I miss Galtymore big time I had so many good night's there at Royal flush n Lighting strikes. Love you guys forever. #shayspainentertainment #eamonfitzpatrickentertainment
The way things are at home and with the scourge of emigration it might not be such a bad idea to open a ballroom in London again. Thanks for the memories.

@fatcat1949 We froze and sweated in equal measure and met some great people along with promoters who tried to rob us blind but we had fun and made what we thought then was huge money. Sadly it went as quickly as it cam..lol
