(Jeremy) I was going to jokingly put my Maelstrom Wanderer cards in the deck tech, since I already played it once, but decided against it. Forgot to tell the director :/
Jeremy!!!!!! That was the most amazing game of commander I've ever seen. It was hilarious to watch and amazing to see executed. Props on making a great EDH deck.
@1:15:30 Stephen can't choose to discard three cards instead of two. The card's ability doesn't work that way. The effect is totally changed by the fact that it is cast during his main phase. Also, that Clever Impersonator belongs to Jeremey, not Stephen, so Jeremey should be the player that it would have returned to. Stephen only had it because he reanimated it from Jeremy's graveyard.
So for Villanous Wealth, Casting the cards is part of the resolution of the spell. That means when Villanous Wealth resolves, all the new spells are on the stack. If Rise of the Dark Realms is the first spell cast (and thus the bottom of the stack) it will not resolve until after Shriekmaw has resolved, triggered, and had its triggered ability resolve. Likewise, if the reanimated cards have triggered abilities, those triggered abilities resolve before any other spells already on the stack.
It's quite the coincidence that today is my birthday and you guys happen to start season 5 on the same day. This is my favorite format and you guys are also my favorite group that I see do it. Keep up the great work and win this season Jeremy.
Villainous Wealth is a barrel of monkeys. I love when I can cast it for 20 or more. Great win, Jeremy! Also, you guys should do a game where all your nonland cards are multicolour only..
I haven't even watched the video yet and just want you guys to know I was having a pretty shitty Friday until I saw this vid was up and it may not have turned the whole day around but it's made a big difference in morale already. Big thanks for the content! If you're ever curious, yes it does in fact make some people's days better.
Finding the recent season and hopping back in time I'm glad it seems like Stephen and Jeremy consistently enjoy the same kind of decks I do so far. Mimeoplasm and Kamigawa troll builds forever!
The Card Viewer guy was on point all match. Loved the Surfs Up posters and surprised Drake. I appreciated all ya'lls decks. I'm a big fan of Pillow Forts, and Queen Marchesa just overtook Daxos and Teysa as my "Big Enchantment Pillow Fort" commander. I love tightening the screws on everyone else.
Great deck Jeremy! My favorite thing to do in edh is either hard control or stax with my wincons being in the digits. I have this one Oloro deck that has Ashiok and Jace, the Mind Sculptor as its wincons, everything else is counterspells, kill spells, and card draw to get to any of the other 3. Love this show, keep up the good work.
There seem to have been a lot of small errors at the start of the video, with everyone starting off at 20, Jeremy being listed as Maelstrom Wanderer, and Lord of Extinction there ^_^;; Season 5 is off to a great start. lol. Go Suarez! :D
of them all....i loved tasigur and birds of war the most. both were amazing and fits both styles of deck i love to play. birds are an amazing tribe. My omnath the rage monger is my tribal. Mirko Vosk is my 'do one thing and do it right' deck. you guys always inspire me to reach further and look for more innovate ways to play. thank you.
I love to play Animar, Soul of Elements. I personally LOVE playing Solitaire by myself! it's such a great feeling casting cards and doing stuff while all your friends watch you. Hearing them become progressively more angry is what i live for. I also love taking extra turns.
I love Villainous Wealth. Very fun card. One note: when Jeremy cast it the first time and didn't want to cast the board wipe, keep in mind the spells all go on the stack together. You can order them so the board wipe resolves first, before any of your creatures land.
Here's something me and my playgroup are planning to do in the near future; Make a cube (either 360 or less, because a lot of basics will be added to the decklist) and draft a commander deck from it. We might include a bit of Conspiracy and quite some legendary creatures so the commander choice will be wide open. You could also predetermine the commanders and then start the draft, but we love drafting and taking our chances :). Maybe you guys feel for this aswell? Anyway, nice video as always! Always looking forward to more :D
I really wanted to see Justin win, that looks like such a fun deck, I love black in commander, and I adore reanimator. I gotta give props to Mr. Noell for winning with such a unique card. Thanks for the video.
I still wanna see someone play Gahiji, Honored One commander. Just think it would be fun to have everyone encouraged to attack everyone else because their 1/1 becomes a 5/3 or so due to multiple attack effects like Gahiji, Crown of Doom, etc.
I am hoping you guys do another spike video again. It's been a while so now seems like a good time to revisit that. I hope for yisan elf ball, narset turns/combo, zur storm (not enchantments), and arcum combo.
Ideas for future videos: - Creatures only (alternatively, permanents only) - No generic mana in the mana costs - Mono-colored Commanders that best represent their respective color - multi-colored cards only Also, general question: Do you guys usually double-sleeve your EDH decks?
At 1:16:00 when the reclamation sage blows up the oblivion ring shouldn't the clever imposter go to Jeremy because he is the owner of the card? Even though Stehen green was the past controller of that clever imposter.
I love John's bird deck. Love tribal decks with tons of janky stuff because you're always the underdog and everyone loves an underdog. My fave deck to play is my Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper deck (AKA Noya, the Wavy). I get to animate lands and run all the mass bounce spells that don't hit lands and it just feels great to get rid of everything and swing in with giant islands and plains.
I have a deck very similar to Jeremy's. I was very inspired when he showed off what Villainous Wealth can do! Now, seeing it again, mine is more interactive and political but just as deadly. 12/10 guys!!
I enjoyed watching Villainous Wealth do its thing. I have watched Jeremy explain it on the Command Zone, and wasn't really sold on it. Watching it in action though is hilarious. I am inspired to create something similar.
I'm with Jeremy; I like the big, dumb sorceries that do big, silly things. I built an Intet, the Dreamer deck around Dragonstorm for this reason. Great episode!
Play Auction house... at the end of every round (after everyone has had a turn) you pull a card off the auction deck, people can pay mana, life, creatures, or what ever to the player with the lowest life total, or they just get the card in what ever zone they want! to elaborate, its to keep the players with the least amount of life in the game.
Well.. That was a very fun video. Some errors during gameplay, but it's OK, it happens. And answering the question, my favorite deck is a Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius almost-full-foil (yep, mana drain judge and mana vault inventions, some day you'll be mine) spell-copying/superfriends/izzet deck. My oldest and dearest deck. :)
I would love to see a version of my own Braids, Conjurer Adept deck. basically every howling mine effect, teferi's puzzle box, sakashima (for an extra braids), tempt with discovery (for even more braids), confiscates, and big blue beatsticks. It's chaotic and a ton of fun.
Nice Jeremy...Killing people with there own spells. This game was fun. I would like to see Jonathan Suarez Play Leovold, Emissary of Trest again. My favorite event that happened last season was Johnathon Suarez milling Jeremy and watching Justin Cringe & also the Stephen Green Pilgrims Eye play heard around the world.
I still miss David McDarby, but i love this series so much. Thank you for making such a high quality edh multiplayer series that me and many others can enjoy. And I wondering if at some point you could please try an Angus McKenzie and Sen Triplets deck at some point. Thank you for reading. :)
I'd like to see a Kaladesh theme sometime this season. Commanders being: Depala (Stephen Green), Gonti (Justin Parnell), Oviya (Jeremy Noell), and Rashmi (Jonathan Suarez). Some pretty neat and interesting choices I think. Here's to hoping!
I'm so torn between who's deck I enjoyed the most. I can relate most with Jeremy's deck as I play Narset, but I also hate being "That Guy". I didn't even realize there were that many birds to make Kangee that powerful and such an aggressive force. Mr. Jon Suarez, would it be possible for you to give me suggestions for the Hanna EDH I'm trying to build?
In reference to Villainous Wealth, Jeremy could Shriekmaw first and then Rise of The Dark Realms. He simply arranges it so that Rise is being cast before Shriekmaw, therefore Shriekmaw resolves, causes it's ETB trigger, and then we move on to the next spell being Rise.
this one was great, please do this theme again! Also, you should do planeswalker commanders again. john as nicol bolas. stephen as domri. justin as newest liliana from emn. jeremy as wildcard lol maybe tamiyo? or a kiora?
I've only watched the opening intro and am already feeling the void left by Choi. Felt like the card highlights were sorely missing in the intro when a player would talk about X card, "if you don't know what this card does _______" and there was no card image that appeared. :(
For Halloween, what could be more scary than a mono red commander versus nightmare?...Zo-Zu the punisher, Zada, Hedron Grinder, Feldon of the Third Path and Lovisa Coldeyes
So I think Jeremy misplayed at 1:11:17, with villainous wealth still resolving I don't think you can't target it with the copies of eternal witness. I thought you have to target as soon as they enter the battle field so before the wealth is in the graveyard. this play allowed a lot of the other dumb shenanigans to go off.
#TeamSuarez! Glad to see he is back on the roster, and I'm pulling for Suarez even though #TeamGeremy is a close second. Also, idea for commanders: Everyone play mono red!
Omg I literally will do anything to play Jeremy's deck like that was one of the decks that I have had a lot of inspiration for but could never make it work. Seeing what he did makes me want to either make my oen version or pkay his version (which seems like the better option bc w0w). He knows de wae of deckbuilding
That dramatic edit at the beginning was great.
Thumbs up for the new director!
Delicious
The manufactured drama around Green's "cheat" is already the best part of this video.
one of the best feeling when you log onto your computer open up youtube, and a the new season of Commander VS is up.....its gonna be good day
Anyone else notice that Jeremy's commander was maelstrom wanderer until he said he was playing tasigur?
I was confused as well.
(Jeremy) I was going to jokingly put my Maelstrom Wanderer cards in the deck tech, since I already played it once, but decided against it. Forgot to tell the director :/
Until he said Tasigur even
I was confused because the title said Tasigur, but the name on the video said Maelstrom
Ray Kenn right. I clicked on the video specifically for Tasigur and was like wait what?
Jeremy!!!!!! That was the most amazing game of commander I've ever seen. It was hilarious to watch and amazing to see executed. Props on making a great EDH deck.
Gonna keep asking for it until it happens. Mono red 4 way to break the mono red curse.
Life would find a way... for them all to lose
The game ends in a draw, between all of them.
somebody does a 'x damage to each player' spell with enough to kill everybody.
Krenko vs Godo vs Ashling vs Norin. Bring it
ends up in a draw
@1:15:30 Stephen can't choose to discard three cards instead of two. The card's ability doesn't work that way. The effect is totally changed by the fact that it is cast during his main phase.
Also, that Clever Impersonator belongs to Jeremey, not Stephen, so Jeremey should be the player that it would have returned to. Stephen only had it because he reanimated it from Jeremy's graveyard.
4:08
*looks at a picture of Wes wise*
You sure can't give everything.
*a single tear goes down cheek*
So for Villanous Wealth, Casting the cards is part of the resolution of the spell. That means when Villanous Wealth resolves, all the new spells are on the stack. If Rise of the Dark Realms is the first spell cast (and thus the bottom of the stack) it will not resolve until after Shriekmaw has resolved, triggered, and had its triggered ability resolve.

It's quite the coincidence that today is my birthday and you guys happen to start season 5 on the same day. This is my favorite format and you guys are also my favorite group that I see do it. Keep up the great work and win this season Jeremy.
Green is green, all is right with the world
Villainous Wealth is a barrel of monkeys. I love when I can cast it for 20 or more. Great win, Jeremy! Also, you guys should do a game where all your nonland cards are multicolour only..
That's one Ardent Plea I can get behind.
it is cool to see how comfortable you guys are with these decks. No reading cards, no slow plays. Just casual commander with you favorite decks.
I haven't even watched the video yet and just want you guys to know I was having a pretty shitty Friday until I saw this vid was up and it may not have turned the whole day around but it's made a big difference in morale already. Big thanks for the content! If you're ever curious, yes it does in fact make some people's days better.
This was glorious to watch. Great game! Love Jeremy's deck! Stephen's was also awesome!
Love these videos.
Jeremy, you are literally playing my favorite commander with the means of playing my favorite card (V Wealth). Much love.
I wish it was possible to do like a homecoming episode and every person who's done "commander vs" comes back and plays a huge fun game.
That Villainous Wealth put in work this game. Love watching people put these cards through their paces.
Yes! I'm so happy for this theme! I've been waiting for it forever!
Finding the recent season and hopping back in time I'm glad it seems like Stephen and Jeremy consistently enjoy the same kind of decks I do so far. Mimeoplasm and Kamigawa troll builds forever!
Jeremy's deck was freaking SWEET. Well done. I enjoy decks that can do many things all at once.
can't believe this is back so soon, good job guys :D
Game Play starts at 13:55
The Card Viewer guy was on point all match.
I really missed the close-up of the cards in the deck tech! I hope it returns in the next video :(
Great deck Jeremy!
I love seeing timmies and johnny's do their thing exactly like this episode ( :
There seem to have been a lot of small errors at the start of the video, with everyone starting off at 20, Jeremy being listed as Maelstrom Wanderer, and Lord of Extinction there ^_^;;
Season 5 is off to a great start. lol. Go Suarez! :D
I died laughing when sg goes, "can we cut?" 😂 why was Lord in the command zone?! 😂 I died!
Jeremy, you have my support now. I love using Villainous Wealth in my Sidisi deck and any decks I can squeeze it in too.
All the salt in the first match of the season lol! Looking like it's gonna be a good one!
of them all....i loved tasigur and birds of war the most. both were amazing and fits both styles of deck i love to play. birds are an amazing tribe.
Even though he didn't win, Suarez's deck is my favorite of the four played in this video. U/W are my favorite colors.
Best surprise of the week! So happy to get back to watching commander again so soon.
And after watching my favorite spell destroy someone's deck this is officially my favorite video to date! Villainous Wealth!
I love Villainous Wealth. Very fun card. One note: when Jeremy cast it the first time and didn't want to cast the board wipe, keep in mind the spells all go on the stack together. You can order them so the board wipe resolves first, before any of your creatures land.
Stephen rocks! The Mimeoplasm is awesome! My man!
For Halloween you could do whatever commanders you think are the scariest, and some of the more gruesome cards, that would be pretty cool :D
Here's something me and my playgroup are planning to do in the near future;
Make a cube (either 360 or less, because a lot of basics will be added to the decklist) and draft a commander deck from it.
What a beautiful start to the season :D
I really wanted to see Justin win, that looks like such a fun deck, I love black in commander, and I adore reanimator. I gotta give props to Mr. Noell for winning with such a unique card. Thanks for the video.

What about a Commander vs Series with the Blocks best Commanders?
Shards of Alara - Rafiq, Sedris, etc
Lorwyn - Doran, Oona, etc
So on...
Blade Tiger gets my vote
\o/ uhuuuu
'best' is subjective. They did do block decks already though.
Ideas for future videos:
- Creatures only (alternatively, permanents only)
- No generic mana in the mana costs
- Mono-colored Commanders that best represent their respective color
- multi-colored cards only
Also, general question: Do you guys usually double-sleeve your EDH decks?
My personal decks are all double sleeved, but we usually don't take the time to do it with deck we're playing just once.
They've done a creatures only video, I think one of their Commanders was Momor Sig.
Justin Parnell
Thanks! Mine is double sleeved as well atm, but it's so annoying to shuffle :/
Best video in a while guys! Very cool decks, especially Jeremy's deck. I wanna build a Villainous Wealth deck too now... Cheers!
I think that Justin is the best person in all these videos. You're my kind of player, a man from the clan of nel toth.
also props to Suarez for playing the most Timmy deck.
Jeremy going bananas and putting the Tas in potassium!
Stephen Green really is a man of the people. He sees a card with a dinosaur for an arm and he makes a deck with it.
This was a fun episode. I would love to see some more 2 Headed Giant or a match or 2 of archenemy commander
I have a deck very similar to Jeremy's. I was very inspired when he showed off what Villainous Wealth can do! Now, seeing it again, mine is more interactive and political but just as deadly. 12/10 guys!!
Nemesis Wave! This was a double whammy of great times getting to see Jeremy win and getting to see one of my fav cards cast again and again!
I love Liliana and your deck @Justin Parnell :D. It makes me happy to see other people sacrificing there own stuff for fun ^w^
this was my favorite commander vs video ever i love sultai and mono black
I want to know more about that Hanna deck Jon mentioned in the deck tech.

My oldest and dearest deck. :)
You guys should do a "Banned List" Theme. 10% or 20% of the cards have to be from the banned list. Also #TeamStephen1stBloodGreen!!!!
Wouldn't the Oblivion ring'ed clever impersonator go to Jeremy after since he is the owner? also so close #teamjustin
Really want Jon's Hannah deck list and Jeremy's wanderer list, really enjoyed this video. As always great content, good job
Did I miss the drawing/raffle thing for the 100k Subscribers? I never saw an announcement of who won.
I still miss David McDarby, but i love this series so much. Thank you for making such a high quality edh multiplayer series that me and many others can enjoy. And I wondering if at some point you could please try an Angus McKenzie and Sen Triplets deck at some point. Thank you for reading. :)
That is some shady shuffling by Stephen at 15:00
Are we eventually going to get Kaladesh Legendaries played soon? I want to see W/R Dwarf/Vehicle shenanigans...
Jeremy playing Tribal Wealth was the best thing.
Jeremy I have almost the same Tasigur deck, casting Villainous Wealth is living life to its' fullest.
Villainous Wealth was my Promo for the Pre-release. I love it and is in my Leovold deck.
Stephen Green is finally green!
Would love to see a updated Darreti deck using kaladesh artifact goodness!!
i wasnt even looking at the screen and all i heard was "bird person" and i shot up and yelled "IT IS RANDOM DEBRIS"
Ive asked for a Marrow-gnawer rat deck (no Relentless Rats) since season 1 not seen it yet...
Why does stephen pay two lands at 23:35 he plays bayou it looks like then drops a second land
this one was great, please do this theme again! Also, you should do planeswalker commanders again. john as nicol bolas. stephen as domri. justin as newest liliana from emn. jeremy as wildcard lol maybe tamiyo? or a kiora?
It has been so long since I've watched Commander Vs and I STILL check the end of the video to make sure Parnell doesn't win
I've been waiting for this moment for all my liiife~ #teamgreen
@1:40:04 Jeremy finally remembers he has a Sol Ring in play when he casts Villainous Wealth for the third time.
Jeremy shall rise!
Also I think it'd be fun to do like a commanders most wanted. Like play the most hated commanders against each other.
I've only watched the opening intro and am already feeling the void left by Choi. Felt like the card highlights were sorely missing in the intro when a player would talk about X card, "if you don't know what this card does _______" and there was no card image that appeared. :(
I want to thank you for this Jonathan. Your deck has inspired me to build my own tribal birds deck and I love it
I wish you guys could make package deals on your sight to buy full decks from this series, because I really really really want jeremy's deck
1:15:45 Careful Consideration's second mode is not a "may".
I suppose he could have cast it during his draw step. Then he could have discarded 3 cards.
Jeremy should put Aetherflux Reservoir in his deck
(Jeremy) www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Andy-Dwyer-Shock.gif
The reaction had me at tears and a 24-ish hour side pain from laughter
YES!!!!!! FINALLY!!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS THEME!!! SO EXCITED!
Jon, will you share your Hanna deck with us? (I got a judge Hanna that needs to be played😊)
I wanna see this hanna deck Jon talked about!
Jeremy, what do you think about adding a couple twincast effects to your deck, double the pleasure double the fun
