Might add it to my "Must have" list for Windows!
    Alongside the following:
    - TaskbarX (haven't made the move to Win11 yet)
    - WinDynamicDesktop for dynamic Wallpaper based on time
    - QuickLook to preview some document types with ease
    - ModernFlyouts for better/nicer Volume/Brightness Up/Down and media control tooltips
    - TaskbarGroups to group my applications in the Windows taskbar much like on macOS
    - PowerToys which should definitely be native to Windows
    - Chocolatey as package manager

I wish Microsoft would add more APIs to replace core functions. Like add an API for file manager, the task bar, the start menu, onscreen keyboard, etc. This will allow power users to really customize their computers and they will be more stable than the hackey way this tools are often built to overcome the lack of an API.

Most Linux file managers have the tab and split pane views already and it's one thing I miss when I have to use windows explorer. At first I wanted Dolphin to almost mimic Windows file explorer, as explorer is essentially already in split pane mode. Now I wish Windows would do what Dolphin does LOL. Another feature thats handy is being able to switch on a terminal window at he bottom that automatically moves to whatever directory you select in the FM. Great for command based apps like ffmpeg and similar without having to type cd .. or cd /// etc, just click and it's done.

It's quite interesting to see and use an alternative UI.
I can't see any option to show a directory tree in the left pane. My reason for searching out alternatives to Microsoft's explorer was the problem I have with the latest version closing-up the expanded tree on me. Then I have to re-drill the tree for three levels to get to the next file to open or move. With Files I seem to need to do that each time in the right-hand pane.
So I won't be continuing with "Files" for now.
I saw other comments about "Files" being slow - maybe it is fixed, it seemed quite responsive to me.

I could change in a blink of an eye to files if they would change the view of the folder as large icons as it was with win 7. Win 11 has visually destroyed all my music collection. It shows the cover of the album in an awful way and that is just sad.
