I am not a very creative person. I have artistic talents, I can create things, but I never know what to create. I bought some fabric paints and I’ve been trying to come up with ideas all weekend but I’m just stuck. So I thought let me watch a Flowlotl videos to find some inspiration. I still don’t know what to paint, but I love poetry, so let me write a little something about the lil flower hehe:) (edit: the comission turned out amazing!! i loved that little tongue guy xD)
it’s a big wide world, lonely little purple flower
standing alone in the barren field
i’d like to take you home, lonely little purple flower
tearing off your roots will only hurt a bit
won’t you be lonely anymore, little purple flower
if i put you with your sisters in a small glass tower?
it’s a cozy tiny world, little purple flower
i promise! you won't miss the earth
you won’t miss the wind

Reading your poem made me so happy!! Your comments make my day 🩷!! I actually had something happen to me the other day that reminded me of it!! So I was going on my daily walk and in front of my house there was literally one single flower and it was purple too just like the one in your poem!!! I picked it up but instead of putting it in a jar, I left it in between the pages of a thick book so that way I could press and dry it. I felt a little bad about picking the flower up but I knew it was for a greater reason so that I could preserve it's beauty, but still I felt really bad. The next day I went for my walk again and somehow 4 more purple flowers grew back in the same exact spot as the one I had picked the day before!!! I was so happy because I didn't even know flowers grew that fast and I was relieved that I didn't kill off the entire species by picking that one lol mother nature works quick 😅

Purple little flower
Ripped from this earth
Pressed between a world of words
A place more beautiful and safe
Than the ground you were picked from
