Oh my word thank heaven I would rather buy a mold than make one from scratch this grey head of mine was totally confabulated but thank you for showing how much work goes into making a mold from scratch now I understand why molds are so expensive 😊
Thank you for showing us how this process works. I love how you try to show us all how to do things that we might think are beyond us....well that's how I think anyway, but I'm still kind of new to this resin thing. 🥰
Muchas gracias por este vídeo tan completo donde nos muestras todos los pasos a seguir. Se agradece mucho tanta claridad y transparencia. Eres muy buena gente ❤🫂😍🇪🇦
Great job girl! 👏 Loved this so much!! So glad you did this!! As for tape you want the 3M tape to remove the paper backing to protect the acrylic from being scratched. This was fantastic I love that you did this!! 💞
OUCH!!! Just checked the price for this in CAD ... Way outta my price range LOL .... If you decide to make and sell molds, I am on board with that !!! I will be a happy customer for sure. That mold turned out so good !!!
All my molds are here and adding all the time! : www.ebay.com/str/glitznglitterbymichelle?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=acjoyi8kqw-&sssrc=3418065&ssuid=acjoyi8kqw-&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
So nice to see how you make the molds. I’m looking forward to seeing you make the flowers 🌺 out of it. Thank you for sharing and have a blessed day too 🌺
Great video! Thank you for this! Can I suggest as a sister laser user 3m adhesive sheets you can put it on the back of it before you laser it! Then you just peel off the release paper to adhere them! I made my adult son the Nickelodeon guts trophy! And used the 3m adhesive! It was recommended to me by other laser users!
I guarantee if you create molds like moldsandshapes or some of those other international web stores, I’d be so much happier purchasing from you! I promise to be one of your best customers too! 😊👍👏🏼 you’re well on your way, those are beautiful!
It's in my ebay store! www.ebay.com/str/glitznglitterbymichelle?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=acjoyi8kqw-&sssrc=3418065&ssuid=acjoyi8kqw-&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Very good. I don't have the P2 yet so I would do this with my xTOOL 10 watt D1 Pro, but any laser would be fine. The only difference is that clear acrylic won't cut with a diode laser, so I would need to use a colour that *will* cut. I probably would use black because I use that a lot so seeing glue from the top wouldn't be possible, but it would still work. So if you have a diode laser that will allow you to cut black acrylic, folks, you can still do this!👍
Thank you for showing us this process and I found it interesting even though I don't want to buy one as it's so expensive and I don't think I have the patience to learn all that. I'm sure the reason there are no other videos on how to do it as that's how most of them make money. I know you do too but you show us how to do it so it's up to us to do what works for us.
It pays to help, those selling these out there aren't going to sell to the whole world. In my opinion there is room for all of us in the market as long as we stay original. I have no problem helping anyone!
Incredible design Michelle! I’m learning how to use my Cricut Explorer 3 and I’m happy to see you’re using pretty much the same software! I love creative fabrica I’m just going to practice what you’re teaching and apply it to cutting out vinyl!😂!
@glitznglitterbymichelle1 I think of that side. But it would be way easier. I was just wondering if it could be done, but very expensive. It's a lovely mould can't wait to see it done. Take care.
yes they are all in my ebay store linked here: www.ebay.com/str/glitznglitterbymichelle?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=acjoyi8kqw-&sssrc=3418065&ssuid=acjoyi8kqw-&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY If you want custom I'd need information emailed to me to see If I can do it..
Awesome job, how much would you charge to cut a mold for me? My husband would disown me if I bought a xtool machine, 1. For the cost and 2. Room. I go absolutely nuts buying supplies for my crafting. I was doing quilted ornaments, cricut cardstock crafts, then making rosaries now into resin. Ssooo I have TONS of fabric, 100's and hundreds of pounds of cardstock, beads upon beads tools and wire now I'm running out of room for my molds. I was wanting to use a layered cardstock pattern into a resin mold.
Probably 2 reason why nobody is teaching how to make molds on the x tool, 1 the x tool is fairly new and i see a lot of people using it for wood lke the tealight you made so it could be that there's just very few people doing it. Heck it's possible you're just the first to use it for moldhousing. The second reason is more nefarious and the reason why the entire world is a bit of a mess some people aquire knowledge to keep it for themselves aka cornering the market. If you are the only one who knows how to make cinnamon rolls everyone is obligated to buy their cinnamon rolls from you .
I feel there is room for everyone out there. No need to keep secrets, and the XTool is one of many lasers that can do this....I have no problem sharing the secrets LOL they may not like it but that's who I am, I love to help...
Michelle, You are such a kind person. You don't have to give away your secrets, but you do. We are all so blessed to have Glitz N' Glitter.

I have the xTool M1 and it makes molds. It cost a lot less.
@@teresamazotti1315 ty for the info 😀 the M1 Ultra is all I could find on the website, but is still 1400.00CAD, but yes way cheaper. Maybe one day LOL

Thanks so much for this video, you making me really want one of these 😂. The mold looks great!!
Thank you for such an informative video Michelle
Wow--that's a lot of work!
Yep!! It sure is!! That's why handmade molds are more expensive!
Thank you! Is it permanent? I don't want them coming apart after hundreds of uses...
Awesome video. I really enjoyed 😊
Ill probably never have one of these ut watchi g the process was interesting

I ove the mold.
Omg, I hate adds that pop up when I am typing. I love the mold. Now I want an Xtool. I will just tell my husband Michelle made me do it. Lol
LOL I'll take the blame! If you get one for Christmas it would be awesome if you used my link!
Thank you so much, I have a few in the ebay now but it will take time to build up a variety but I'm def. working on it!
Super great. I really would like that mold. ❤❤

Really rather cool to watch the process. This is just a wee bit too complicated for me lol. I am not very tech savvy. ✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness
Very cool process, thanks so much for sharing! I am currently coveting the x-tool, but it’s not in the budget at the moment. One day… 😂
Ty sweetheart
Viewing from the caribbean wow your sillicone moulds came out lovely michelle can't wait to see what you do with those god bless

The welding of acrylic is easy enough. Just ensure you don't use a lot. The fast cure is good especially with fish tank builds
This is so cool!! I would love to also learn how to make other molds too since I dont have and can’t afford the Xtool.
Look through my channel, I have several on how to make the 3d molds already on there.
Desiring an X tool.
If you do please utilize my link!!
Happy November 6th😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
You can use a syringe and a hypodermic needle to apply the glue to the inner portion of the mold housing.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi great. This might be a stupid question but could you use a thick bit of acrylic, so you wouldn't need to glue. Its a brilliant tool. Take care
Thicker than 6mm is extremely expensive and hard to find, trust me I’d love to skip this step too!
@glitznglitterbymichelle1 I think of that side. But it would be way easier. I was just wondering if it could be done, but very expensive. It's a lovely mould can't wait to see it done. Take care.
Very interesting process; thanks for the video. I’m curious, though, about how you store your housings to protect them from scratching.
very carefully!! Layer them with board or cardboard when not in use, then clean really well before pouring again.
Thank you Michelle! 💜 Did you buy any of the addons when you purchased your xtool?
XTool provided me the machine, I got the grate for the bottom and the smoke eliminator. With the Falcon laser they sent me the tumbler accessory.
Do you make custom molds?
yes they are all in my ebay store linked here: www.ebay.com/str/glitznglitterbymichelle?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=acjoyi8kqw-&sssrc=3418065&ssuid=acjoyi8kqw-&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
If you want custom I'd need information emailed to me to see If I can do it..

Depends on if I can do it or not. I'd have to see the template.
@glitznglitterbymichelle1 it's on my cricut, I'm not sure how to send it
Have you tried to put the glue on the inner flower and then put it down on the base? That may work
Yes I have done that but I do need the edges sealed so the silicone doesn't go underneath.
